The seating booth was very tight, we asked if we could be moved to a normal table, they accommodated us, so that was nice but the food was horrible. I’ll assume because it was restaurant week maybe they have food precooked and are only prepared to serve those item but i ordered from the regular menu. I ordered the herb chicken meal and my food came out burnt, it smelt and tasted like charcoal. I’m actually a person who never sends his food back out of fear of something happening to my food but this was a must to send back when my second plate came back it was better m. The waiter was very pleasant though and i understand the seat and food wasn’t on him.
I went there last night it was a party of 3 The aspargus was good the mashed potatoes was good In my Spinach was good However The the grill chicken was Burnt hard and dry complained to the waiter and Ask the waiter to get the manager the manager came over I've explained to her about the chicken she took it away And basically disregarded my complaint And when talking to the waiter again he told me that the manager offered me a slice of cheesecake which is which is unacceptable
The Salmon was good, the clam chowder came out burnt. The stuffed crab/shrimp in the Salmon not so appetizing.
Excellent service by Sarah. Food was delightful. Great stuffed salmon and twin lobster tails.
We went for restaurant week and the food was very good. However they were out of one of the two desserts that were being offered, out of complimentary bread, and drinks took over 20 minutes to get. Our server was very unprofessional and interjected a lot. She also did not remove our plates when we finished. When the next course came in, it caused a lot of mess on our table. She also never refilled our waters. The food was outstanding however and we still enjoyed our time. It just was not the best service I have received at a restaurant, and I definitely did not expect that lack of professionalism from a nicer restaurant like M&C
Visited for restaurant week , my first time here . Food was good , service took a bit longer then I expected in between courses not sure why …..Will visit again .
A great option for Center City Restaurant Week. Delicious lunch menu.
It was great as the server was extremely busy but attentive to our requests
The food was delicious! Had a problem with my drink not being prepared properly and was informed that the manager said it couldn’t be replaced with something else.
Restaurant week menu was very limited for those who do not eat fish or chicken. Our poor waitress was so stressed that we never got second drinks and our dessert.
The server was not knowledgeable with the menu or the food..
The lights dimed to such a low level that seeing what you were eating was next to impossible.
The taste of the food was mediocre!
The pricing high, for the quality received!
A return visit was disappointing .
Our visit yesterday was horrible. Of all the restaurants to choose from, we chose McCormick’s. I called to let them know I was looking for parking and was wondering if we could sit upstairs. (I remember it being cute and intimate up there when I attended a family dinner, thought it would be cute for date night)…If we couldn’t, no biggie. Whoever I was talking to was very condescending, and then says to me, oh and let me tell you that’s it’s business casual attire only. Not sure what would make her say that to me, but I have an idea….and after all of that the food, drinks and service were mediocre. I’ll take my money elsewhere next time. Never again.
I have had better experiences at this restaurant. On a positive note my food was delicious, I was pleased.
Loved this place for restaurant week! We ate on the first floor-definitely should have tried to get on the second. At first thought it was a camera but realized halfway through dinner that the flashing was from a red light camera on the road. Food was absolutely amazing-drinks potent enough that you only need 1! We had a loud group of children near us so it wasn't exactly peaceful so ambiance definitely depends on where you are sitting due to the nature of the restauarant
Food was delicious and the service was amazing. Everything was exceptional.
The food was amazing and the food was delicious. The price value was great!!
Always a good meal with lots of choices for all. We had a server on her first day, Veronica, who was great so compliments to her and the staff for getting her ready!
The menu was excellent I was very glad with the selections to choose from. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time.
It was very nice and the staff was welcoming.
The service we experienced could use some improvement. We were seated in the 2nd floor dining room at a 9:15PM reservation. Our server made us feel rushed and was more preoccupied with doing side work near the bar area and chatting with co workers than making sure we were OK. It was difficult to get her attention to even get a second drink order. It was obvious she was at the end of her shift and wanted to go. She dropped the check and I believe we were out of there by 10:30 only to go downstairs and see all the happy customers seated in the main dining room, obviously not rushed to leave where they were seated. Will not be coming back. When you finally get out of the house and have a meal indoors you really want to relax a bit....not feel like you are not really welcome in the first place.
Food was great and the service was amazing
The food was soooooooo bland, I mean you had to had extra salt to everything. The veggies were hard.
Unbeknownst to me, I had made reservations on the 1st day of Philadelphia's Restaurant week.
We selected from the restaurant week offerings. The fish ( cod & cobia ) were perfectly cooked as we're the vegetables. Desserts ( creme bruise & peanut butter pie with otro crust) were wonderful as well.
The only disappointment was clam chowder which was New England style.
It had an unusual heavy smoky taste, May be from the bacon?
We were seated in a separate dining room on 3nd level. Nice& quiet. Noise level too high in many restaurants
The food wasn’t good and this was my second time there. Maybe because it was restaurant week, but the chicken was burned to the point where it was stiff. The waiter was nice but the bartender making the drinks had an attitude.
Great food and great service!
Great place, food, drinks and service were excellent!
I heard the steak here was delicious, but that’s an understatement. The filet mignon was to die for; I just wish there were more of these restaurants closer to my home.
But I have absolutely no problem whatsoever driving over an hour just to eat at this place. Absolutely delicious!
I love mc&schmidt. I went 9/18/2021 for the start of rest week. Food was delicious, service great, ambiance great. Always a nice place to go to.
Our Server not good!
The experience would have great if only a 2nd glass of water
Some of the best customer service provided . Cheryl was amazing! The food and drinks were top rated. It is a must to add to your list! Enjoy!
Food was overpriced and ladies bathrooms were utterly disgusting and dirty for such a pricey restaurant.
My wife and I were spending a few days in Philly. Visited McCormick’s for a very pleasant surprise. Everything was excellent!
Good place for seafood and fine wines, great place for a date and romantic evening
Manager was awesome. Understand that there are staffing challenges, she jumped in! Our server was great!
The food and service was excellent! I would definitely return
Maritsa was a phenomenal waitress
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic.
The manager Brittany was an absolute delight. She definitely made our night, one to remember.
Thank you, from Amber and Jason (the bday boy) :)
Service and food great!
They said we can't wear heels and asked was the whole party dressed like we was
