The entrees were so good. Both my daughter and I had a fish entree. The service was fast and friendly. Nicole was our server and she was great! We would go back in a heartbeat!
Visited this restaurant years ago and wanted to come back for my anniversary. So glad that I did because the food was DELICIOUS! My husband and i both ordered the stuffed salmon and I am craving more as I type this review. The upside down Apple pie was great as well. Will be back soon!
The servers started clearing the empty tables loudly before the whole area was empty. Left a bad taste when it was cery obvious that they wanted us to leave at 9:00. Spoke with manager who really didn’t understand the issue.
8/11 Sat 6:30pm reservations. Friendly staff, Seated promptly. Sat outside on patio, Great ambiance overlooking pond. Took advantage of the nice weather & cooler temps. Absolutely Beautiful/Quiet. Fyi no bugs.
Great food & service, reasonable prices. Our waiter "Chris" was most attentive. They treated my wife to dessert for her B-Day. Nice touch. Wonderful dining experience.
Food was much too salty. My date had a reaction to the high salt and had edema in her feet and got a migraine headache. Will not recommend or use this restaurant!
We ordered half a dozen blue point oysters and the fried scallops for our appetizers. The scallops were delicious however I was disappointed with my oysters, they had been thoroughly rinsed and had no flavor. I had the mixed grill for my main course and my husband had the salmon special, they were both good but nothing overly special. We sat on the patio, the service and atmosphere were very good but I didn't feel the overall meal was worth the price.
Great service. Thank you, Sara. Our entrees, whitefish and scallops were perfectly prepared. Our dining experience was wonderful and very personal.
Went for National Oyster Day
Food very good; service very slow
Our first time there! Used our Landry’s Rewards! Thanks!
Had been talking about going here for a long time. Wish I didn’t. It was dead on a Friday night. In Oak Brook - in this robust economy - that is a bad sign. Waited 15 minutes to be treated from server. Should have left then. Another 10 minutes to get drinks. I could go on, but I won’t. Hopefully this was a one time thing. Not sure how they could cover the rent on this place based on our experience.
This was our 2nd time at this location. This time a birthday celebration. It was, once again, very slow. We ended up having a 3 hour dinner because it was so slow. It took the whole night. Lots of apologies and a free appetizer. You can't mask the issue with free items. Server was very nice and while he blamed it on the kitchen, he wasn't back to our table to check with us in between. We sat outside and it seems their servers have tables both inside and outside. My guess, he had a big table inside and could not provide attention to the 4 of us. Fortunately, the food is delicious. However, we will definitely hesitate to go back after experiencing the same thing twice.
We enjoy our meal, very good and very nice
Everything was great waiter was somewhat drab and a little slow on service
Always love dining here! We especially enjoyed their August lunch special lobster and shrimp roll and they have an excellent lobster cobb salad. Service is always exceptional. Will be back again this month
Our waiter was very helpful with menu selections and the restaurant hostess was pleasant and accommodating even though we arrived past our reservation time. We enjoyed our meal.
The steaks were slightly overcooked and the vegetables were extremely salty.
We sat in the patio area. In was quiet and had a nice view. We came for the happy hour and sunset menus before the theatre in oak brook. It was not very crowded and the server was not very attentive. The food was good, but we told the server that we had tickets to a show and were on a schedule. He seemed disinterested in our schedule. Maybe because we were ordering from the less expensive menus.
For some reason, although the place was virtually empty, the service was very poor. When asked for a refill on coffee, they said they just put a new pot on. But half an hour later and still no coffee. The appetizer was excellent, over the top, (but also very expensive). My husband's entree (he ordered the Ahi Tuna was so minuscule, it was pathetic. Perhaps a ounce of tuna, and not more than one tablespoon of rice and that was it on the big half-empty plate. I'm thinking perhaps there were problems in the kitchen. But at the cost of the meal for four people - $230, I cannot give it 5 stars, nor even 4.
Everything was great except when I specified I wanted my grilled salmon medium-rare, it arrived medium. Very tasty but not as moist as I would have preferred.
It is a beautiful room, very comfortable. We were seated right away and the service was very attentive. I was surprised that the pre-fix, Sunset Dinner menu was only offered on the outside patio. Since my party was already seated inside, we chose not to move.
The food and the service were both outstanding. I would definitely go back.
We were celebrating our Anniversary. It was our very first visit to a McCormick and Schmick's and my wife and I loved it. The food was outstanding and our server Ian was top notch. We will definitely be looking to dine at
McCormick and Schmick's soon!!
Delicious food and drinks - a little pricey, though.
We sat out on the patio on a beautiful summer day. It was about 86 outside but was nice and cool on the shaded patio overlooking a beautiful pond. We had several of the Happy Hour snacks and each one was great! The hummus was a great surprise and a little different and delicious!! Coconut shrimp was really good and quesadilla was REALLY good! Tuesday’s they have $2 fish tacos. We will be back for sure!
The food was good, but we found the restaurant overpriced. We knew it was expensive going in, but we really did not think if was that great for the price. We were asked for a drink and appetizer order immediately upon sitting down. It was a Saturday night and we were out with friends. It felt rushed.
This was our first visit, we were very pleased with our experience. Our server recommended the Shrimp Kisses as an appetizer, he was correct they were awesome. The Main Lobster Bisque was also delicious, it was served with a generous portion of lobster. We would highly recommend this restaurant for its food, atmosphere and value for the price.
We always enjoy McCormick and Schmick - good food, great service, nice ambiance. It makes an evening special.
I just adore the ambience of this place with exception to our male service who seems to be so cold, unwelcoming and flatly unfriendly and We do not know if that could be that he's done and exhausted for the evening, We even have to find our own utensils as he left us without ensuring a set is arranged in our table - he's quite the only disappointment for McCormick.
It's very pricey for what you actually get and compared to similar seafood restaurants. We had a poor experience due to the extreme temperatures outside, it was very warm inside. We were one of only 2 tables in the restaurant at 6pm on a Saturday night but they sat us right by the door near the hot sun. I complained to the manager but his only response was oh yeah its much cooler in the back of the restaurant. At this point we were already done eating. He could have at least offered to comp a drink or something. Very poor customer service. For the price we paid for such little food and to sweat through our meal, we will never return.
Great staff and an outstanding General Manager !! Service was excellent as well as the food and food presentation !
We loved our experience at McCormick & Smicks! Great decor, friendly service, flavorful food and cocktails,it all adds up to a great time! The menu was just the rite size offering a few selections in each category. We got the Salmon and the triple mixed grill. Both were well prepared and well presented. The Salmon was cooked well, flaky and flavorful. The mixed grill offered grilled shrimp, stuffed shrimp, salmon, and crab cakes. I almost felt greedy ordering it. This variety were all done well. There was attention to each separate item, no throw ins. Great tastes and good portions, we are looking forward to our next visit!!!!
McCormick & Schmick's does not disappoint. The food is always good. This is a place where you can have dinner with friends and talk to and listen to each other. It is a pleasure to dine here.
Food was great! Servers were attentive! Great date night.
As first time visitors to the Oak Brook McCormick and Schmick’s, we were very pleased with all aspects of our dining experience!
We were seated right away and received attentive service throughout our meal. Our drinks were served promptly and our appetizer -shrimp wrapped in bacon with corn salsa-was a great start to a wonderful meal. We both ordered salmon-although different dishes as one was stuffed with crabmeat. Everything was done to perfection. We shared creme brulee for dessert and it was delightful-not too much.
The restaurant is elegant without being stuffy-loved the beveled glass wall and the wood throughout. We will definitely be back!
On a rainy day, a perfect place for friends to gather and enjoy a delicious lunch. The service was great!
Had a great time last night ! Our server, Scott, was very attentive and did a great job. Will definitely go back. He also encouraged us to join the Landry card for great promotions!
It was Father's Day. Seemed as if the staff was kinda short. Waited a bit for my waiter. I mean the service wasn't bad but it wasn't as top notched as in times I have been here before. The food was excellent, as to the reason why I come back. It was a decent visit.
When we first arrived the hostesses was very attentive and sweet sitting us down. We thought this would be a good experience but the server was not very friendly to us. We did not get a smile from her and food served were a bit salty. Overall experience was just blah....I definitely prefers the one in the Chicago location for sure!
It was noisy and the food service was very slow. Also, food was not prepared as requested the first time & part of the order was forgotten. Because of the cost of the food, our expectations were a bit higher. You expect more or better when you pay more.
The food was over-priced for the quality. Spent $186 and my husband included a $40 tip for a total of $220. This was way too much for 1 kids meal, pasta with veggies, 2 steaks, 2 appetizers and 2 lemonades. Had a better steak at Longhorn! Definitely wont go back! Also, too many kid servers that just dont know how to provide service. Dont waste your money!
