We went for my husbands birthday, which was the last night that restaurants were open before the COVID-19 closures happened. The restaurant was very quiet, as it was only our group and one other. The service by Steven was impeccable! Never do I want another server when we inevitably come back. It was perfection!
I made reservations for a birthday. When we arrived, the birthday menus were not ready so the host stated he will back to seat us. We waited for 10-12 mins for another worker to seat us because we were standing there for so long. Once we were at our table, the stuff were moving tables and rearranging the dining room which was very distracting. When I asked about the birthday menus, I was told that the printer wasn't working. I wasn't please with the experience this visit. Especially since it was the birthday person's first time at the restaurant.
Just Ok. Beef tough. Scallops good. Service slow
Waited almost 20min before we were greeted by our waitress or received any water or bread . We ordered appetizers, which were the cocktail shrimp, a salad and clam chowder soup. We got the cocktail shrimp first then had to wait another ten minutes before we received the rest of our appetizers.
food was ok, nothing special. seems to have gone sorta generic chain style. wines by the glass all low end mass market stuff.
for the same $, i would go to other places (price wasn’t the issue rather the overall value proposition)
The waiter was really polite but soft spoken. Also missed what my husband ordered but everything was still good.
Service was terrific! Should have selected a table further away from the door....cold air!!
Our sea bass entrees were delicious!!
Anniversary dinner with great service (Ian), didn’t feel rushed. Great food and drink. Would definitely be back again as before.
The ONLY tiny issue I have is that my food wasn't hot, it was warm almost cool.
We loved the food, service was great!
not impressed. it was totally empty when we arrived at 1230pm and only 4 others tables filled when we left at 2pm. Server was not pleasant and food had no "umami" for a high-end surf and turf establishment.
Wait staff was completely inattentive.
I went to McCormick & Schmick's for a birthday celebration. The food and service were excellent! Our server Diane was very attentive and helpful in describing menu items. She offered suggestions which were outstanding! Every plate was empty. We had a party of five and we can't wait to return. Keep up the good work!
Our last visit on February 25th, the service was outstanding. The food has always been good but it seems that the service staff has been greatly improved.
Came with a gift card. Very happy with our meal. Fancy without being pretentious. Portions are big—we shared a bottle of wine, an app, a steak and a dessert and were pleasantly surprised that the check was $144 for all of that! We’d definitely go back. Maybe for special occasions in the future.
Food, service and atmosphere was great. We will be back !!
Came here for my Girlfriends Birthday, I was hoping to have the Menu with her name on it & Happy 60th Birthday but I guess I had to call the place instead of putting it on Open Table website. Otherwise been here many time our waitress was great, very friendly, will be back for our next special event.
My husband and I went to McCormick & Schmick’s in Oak Brook, it was our 1st time there. The food was DELICIOUS! Our server Joe was very attentive and friendly! We will definitely be back!
If you like seafood, this is the place to go. I had the Jake's Bouillabaisse and my wife had the Salmon. Both were good choices. We added the Wild Mushrooms and Mashed Potato which rounded out our meals. Our server, Terrance did a great job with suggestions and our order. There was a special deal with my Bouillabaisse that the manager, Ian, help out with.
Nice lunch with my 16 year old. The only drawback was that you could not get a filet larger than 8 oz, but the food was good as was the service.
Couldn’t use points
Wrong entree brought
We unfortunately had to wait nearly 45 minutes before our table was ready for our 8:30 pm reservation. Once we were seated, it was felt as though the server was trying to rush us through our dinner and empty our table.
Our food was however, very good!
We will most likely not be returning again.
We arrived for our reservation exactly on time and there was a crowd. It took about 8 minutes to be checked in by the host, who was walking around and calling out names of other people who were on the list. It was only after we had checked in that we were told they were running behind and it would be about a 30 minute wait. I would expect to hear something like this if we were walking in without a reservation. But the purpose behind making a reservation is that there is an expectation that a table will be held in anticipation of our arrival. We waited by the bar and had 2 drinks which totalled over $30. We were finally seated almost an hour later. Unlike other reviews, our meal was actually very good. I had the two lobster tails and mashed potatoes and my husband had the filet mignon and lobster tail Valentine special. For our appetizers I had the lobster bisque soup and he had the New England clam chowder. I never saw New England clam chowder like his before and I did not like the taste of it but the lobster bisque was exceptional. The filet mignon was cooked to order and was done right. The lobster tails were huge and perfect except for needing a little bit of salt. Surprisingly, the entrees came out extremely fast. The waiter forgot part of our order and billed us for it. After calling the error to his attention, he did make the adjustment and comped us our sodas. Our bill totalled over $140 for 2 people. Overall, we walked away disappointed with the experience and we would not likely visit again.
Made reservations for a birthday and got caught in Valentine’s Day traffic. The restaurant was totally under siege. One hour wait past our reservation but that’s not typical. The bartenders actively avoided eye contact for 30 minutes while I was seated at the bar! That said, once we were seated, service and the meal was flawless. Other than perhaps some training in efficiency for the bartenders, it’s run perfectly
Had a reservation for 7:30pm, showed up and were checked in just after 7:20pm. We were not seated until around 8:10pm. Server was polite and attentive, however they seemed stressed and restaraunt seemed understaffed. Food was good. Overall could have been much better, perhaps just an off day cause of valentines day.
Food was good. Service was good. Wait was quite long. Other than that it was good.
Even though we had a reservation at 7pm we didn’t get seated until 8 pm. It was inconvenient since I needed to eat before 8 pm.
The food was excellent and the service was good. It was very busy but all food was good
Sat in a bad chair when we got to the table. Waited over 20 minutes for drinks. Steak was ordered medium and served rare. Side of mushrooms did not come out with the rest of the food. Ordered after dinner drinks that took over 15 minutes to come out. Too many problems for one evening.
My Salmon was dry and overlooked. My husband liked his steak.
Good place for Valentine’s Day dinner.
I understand it was busy but waiter was never to be found! Had to ask different waiter every time for something. Also asked for to-go boxes he never even boxed it for us like other tables did.. oh wel.....
We waited for over 45 minutes past our reservation. Service was very slow. Food was just ok.
Valentines Day! Long wait but we’ll worth food was excellent!!
