Birthday lunch...salad over dressed...mix up over cheque...manager looks for wrong Coleman to charge $14 over a $50 gift card..finds the correct Coleman and still charged my sister the $14 for my lunch...she’s checking with her bank for a refund because manager would not make corrections...bye bye McCormick and Schmidt’s 😡
Consistently disappointing food. Atmosphere, service and location a plus. Otherwise, eat somewhere else. Drinks and appetizers a go
Loved this place. They made my parents anniversary celebration so special even with personalized menus! Definitely will recommend for anyone!
Celebrating a birthday
Our party was shortened and we were early but they accommodated our change and seated us.
Very friendly staff, made us feel appreciated. Food and mixed drinks were spot on and lobster bisque was phenomenal. Always great experience at this location
The wait time was not long and food was good. We had the view of the water and the fire works. The waiter made sure we had everything we needed and was patience with the large party. Will go back again!
It was very nice. No compliments. Food was delicious.
Have been to other sites, service here was very poor. Order
Was incorrect and parts of meal cold. Server never even checked back and had to flag her down to get check. Disappointing event.
Food was excellent. Brittani is an exceptional server and took very good care of us.
Very fast service
Food was not nearly as good as last Thanksgiving. Turkey was not cooked all the way, we had to ask the server for bread after the meal had already been served. It was so noisy and crowded, hard for the hostess to seat us and get around servers and other customers.
Thanksgiving dinner with my mom and my sister. We’ve been to McCormick & Schmick’s a couple of times in the past few years. This time we arrived early to avoid delays. The catch was we caused our own delay. We got there half an hour before our reservation time of 5pm and had to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated. Service was excellent. Once we were seated I didn’t even notice how busy they were. Atmosphere was perfect! My mother and I are both disabled but, besides having to stand up for a while before being seated we were fine. Mom and my sister had the thanksgiving dinner and I had swordfish. Everything was great and came in a timely manner. I didn’t get any cold food or warm beverages. The occasion was better than we expected. I am very pleased.
I wish I had gone on any other day but Thanksgiving! Never expected it to be so crowded. They took on too many reservations. The waiters really did their best but the service fell short. The Thanksgiving special was anything but and the food was just mediocre. Despite the high noise level they still felt the need to blast music in to the crowd. So no, our party of 4 did not enjoy ourselves.
Our waitress Natalie was awesome, attentive and friendly. The food was very delicious and the presentation was amazing.
Exceptional service and attentiveness coupled with excellent food.
This was an outstanding Thanksgiving Dinner at McCormick & Schmitt. The seating, view, ambiance, food, and service was better than expected. Even though we did not order from the special Thanksgiving Menu, those Chef Specialties were awesome as well as the rest of food served, which was outside of our normal comfort zone in food.
Not for a thanksgiving dinner reservation. I was told by the waitress that the staff was not American and did not understand American cuisine.
The server we had was awesome he made our Thanksgiving a memorable one. My family and I wanted to break away from the normal tradition and do something different and our server made us glad we did.
Was there for Thanksgiving. The food was good but the menu could've been more varied.
I've been here before and the food and service has been great. This was a Thanksgiving day outing with my daughter. The service was great but the turkey dinner was not up to par. (Dry turkey and small portions.) Everything else was great about the day and I was thankful to be able to be with my daughter and Thankful the restaurant was open. .
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving meal at McCormick and Schmick. It’s nice to be able to go somewhere and sit down and have a nice meal. I chose to have fish this year and not turkey! A good reason to go to a restaurant is that you get a choice other than turkey.
Had reservations for 6 P.M. since only two other small parties were already dining the host didn't ask if we had reservations he just sat us at a window table which was excellent and handed us menus. Waited about 6 minutes, no one came to take a drink order or ask if we wanted and appetizer, etc. Wife asked a person cleaning up the empty table next to us if she could get someone to take our order, she asked a girl (Brandi) who was taking care of another table a ways away if she could get someone. Brandi came over startled and apologized several times no one acknowledged us up to that point. She said she would take care of us and she took our drink orders, etc. I asked a question about the menu as there were things different on the online menu, she checked, apologized again as the host gave us lunch menus. Brandi stated that a manager would stop over to discuss the situation on more than one occasion. No manager ever appeared, some fellow showed up to ask if the food was cooked to our liking, we both answered yes and he left before anything else could be said. Not sure if he was the excuse for a manager or if he was just checking to see if food was cooked the way it was supposed to be when ordered. Food was OK but steak was the quality of Lone Star Steak House where we frequent on occasion so nothing special for the money you will spend. Again, Brandi did a great job of picking up the pieces as best as she could. Ambiance was nice, if you are just looking for a quiet place to eat and be left alone and you have pockets of cash would be a good place for a date when empty like it was when we were there . Otherwise listen to the noise and go to Lone Star.
On our visit to McCormick and Schmick's, the food was excellent. I enjoyed the sautéed rock fish and my wife declared the salmon to be among the best she has had in a long time. That said, we were a bit put-off by the waiter who seemed more interested in selling us additional appetizers, specials, desserts, etc. (presumably to increase the bill and, thereby, his tip) than in simply serving our food and beverages.
I rated the noise level as moderate because there were relatively few diners. Had the restaurant been full, the commensurate increase in the noise would have probably have resulted in a noise level rating of "energetic."
Very dark at 6:00. No light on the tables and everything else was turned down way too low. Good food.
The food was excellent......and the server has a lot
of patients. Excellent service is what makes me come back.....and of course good food.
We literally spotted in for soup and dessert. The Maryland Crab soup was very good as well the upside down candied walnut apple pie. Our server on the other hand was either new, very distracted, or just plan slow.
The food came out at different times for our table, it came in two shifts. I thought the food was going to have more taste than it did, also for the pricing the plates did not look full. I would not eat here again.
Please keep coffee warm for us coffee lovers. It was really so one would think it would be fresh and hot
The restaurant and staff were phenomenal. They were able to sit us early and the food was delicious we had two children with us and they gave us a great seat widths. View of the water. The hostess was extremely friendly and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone in the national harbor.
I took my husband for his birthday and it was a really nice evening. Our server was courteous and attentive to our dining needs. The food was great and the ambiance was very romantic. Although the restaurant was full, the noise level was surprisingly lower than other restaurants We have frequented. We will definitely go back for date night.
Celebrating dinner with my mom and had a blast. We both ordered the Chilean sea bass which was cooked to perfection.
Service and food was outstanding. The location on the waterfront makes for a terrific experience. Location also encourages walking before and after the meal....I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The Food was lacking in flavor. Chicken in the pasta was dry and had little to none blackening seasoning, and the salmon inside another pasta dish was lacking seasoning as well. The salad was drenched in salad dressing that had way too much vinegar in it. The pasta sauce pesto as well as Alfredo was good and the fresh veggies were great! Those were cooked to perfection.
Great Experience. Kinda pointless to make a reservation end up waiting an additional 20–25 minutes.
Staff accommodated our party of 10 request to be at two table close to each other. It took about 20 min to get the appetizers, but then the rest of the food came out promptly. Food was excellent. Thanks
wonderful wait staff, little wait time, awesome food
After we were seated it took 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. The calamari appetizer was the best food we had there. Both of our entrees were terrible. I had the stuffed salmon and it was bland and the salmon wasn’t cooked the whole way. The risotto wasn’t the normal risotto that I was use to. It was just rice with mushrooms in it. My husbands stuffed shrimp was aweful. Very bland. I don’t recommend this restaurant at the National Harbor. There are a lot more places to go that are probably a lot better. I won’t be going there again. P.S. the bread wasn’t even good
Excellent service. The server was professional and efficient. The managers stopped by the table to check on us, which is always a plus. I had the who whole stripe bass, which was prepared to perfection!
