This was a pre-Valentines date for us. Service and food were great for the occasion. Waitress recommended Shrimp Kisses for an appetizer. Great choice. Will return.
Enjoyed the experience. The host were great and accomodatimg. Service and food was outstanding. We went on a Tuesday for a early anniversary dinner. Wife loves the special menus!!
Overall great experience.
Initially I was turned off by the hostess; she didn’t make us feel welcomed at all. I asked to speak with the manager who said it was the first complaint she’d ever received about her - I found that hard to believe, but I do understand protecting and covering for your employees. She did apologize though on behalf of the restaurant. Our waitress was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and so friendly and sweet!! It was because of her we’ll go again. It is a tad bit crowded as compared to other high end restaurants we’ve been to however, we still had a great time.
I was being treated to a nice birthday lunch. The waiter was very good about checking with the kitchen in regards to food allergies. He made several trips to talk to the chef to make certain. The food was wonderful and the service was great.
I always enjoy my time here
Very good experience- kalamari and mussels appetizers were fantastic- the fish entrees were flavorful and fresh, drinks were on point, and the servers were friendly and patient
The hostess sat us after another couple that came in after us without a reservation, even though we had reservations and were on time. The food lobster and crab legs were subpar. Will not return for dinner, maybe happy hour.
The place was packed but our server was attentive and pleasant
Thanks to Heather, Jimmy, and Shay. My family and friends celebrated birthday dinners for two ladies. Awesome! Ms. Heather was accommodating and helpful. She added small touches to the menu. Our service team was kind and patient. The food was very good. My group of 20+ didn’t complain—not to me. I would come again to the restaurant.
The food was delicious, Ron our service was amazing, very attentive & cared about our every need and the ambience was delightful.
We always love our time at McCormick and Schmick. Great service, food and ambience as always.
My waitress was amazing and the food amazing.
The service was great and the ambiance was very nice. The restaurant week menu food was ok at best. Nothing was outstanding and some things were flavorless. I had the fried shrimp and my guest had the seafood gumbo. These were the best dishes. Our entries included the lobster mac and cheese: it was flavorless and could have used some Chesapeake Bay seasoning; and the rockfish dish: it was also very bland except for the sweet potato mash which was tasty. Our desserts were the peach cobbler: a cobbler isn't a cobbler without pie crust - it was more of a peach crumble and not too bad; and the peanutbutter pie: it was good. Overall I was disappointed. I thought Restaurant Week was a time to taste the regular menu and to hopeflly become a regular diner. This idea seems to be lost on a lot of the participating restaurants!
I was able to make reservations for my wife’s birthday at her favorite restaurant. The service was average but we had better especially for her birthday. The Head waiter that seated us seem to be in a rush although place wasn’t crowded. I had to look for server several times. The one bright spot was the meal. Steaks were cooked to perfection. My compliments to the Chef.
Went there because of Restaurant Week. Food on the special menu was not ready. If you have Sweet Potatoes on the menu. It should be ready when the restaurant opens. Had to wait a long time for my dish because the sweet potatoes were not ready😞.
The Service was excellent, very nice.
The food was good. Very nice casual place. The water view was beautiful.
Thank you guys.
Arrived on time for our 3:45 reservations and was greeted to find out our table wasn't ready or clean (I swear it was only, at most, 20 customers there). The food was OK. Overpriced and plated horribly. The glassware and silverware were dirty. The service was even worst. Our waiter smelt of cigarettes. He didn't give us water, but gave us straws and was no where to be found for 15 minutes. So we had to ask another waiter to bring us water. We order an app and two glasses of wine. Never got those until we complained to the manager. The manager took care of our $8 glasses of wine and soon after that the service got better. The waiter was now more attentive. I definitely would never go back for dinner because the prices do not match the quality of the food, but would go back for happy hour...maybe.
Yes, but probably to attend earlier than 7:30pm. I made reservations, but we were still assigned to wait for our table. If walk-in clients and reservations clients are waithing at the same time, there should be a different procedure for the staff to coordinate with reservation clients. The staff needs need management rules and how to address to clients respectfully!
Food was great, waiter was great, but host staff needed help. They were polite and professional. The issue is I made a reservation for 7pm. We arrived 10 minutes early but were not seated until 25 minutes after the reservation time. There was no space to wait to be called and no mechanism to contact us once our table was ready so we were forced to stand by the front door as was everyone else. The staff continually asked us to clear a walkway for guests to enter and leave but it was difficult given the lack of waiting space. It soured the mood a little to the date.
for the first time at this branded restaurant the food was poor. The salad was great but the filet minion was over cooked twice since my wife had already finished her dinner by the time my second filet arrived overcooked again I just ate it (it was my wife’s birthday and I did not want to spoil the mood) . Her meal was underwhelming also the crab cake was great as was the salmon but the shrimp both the stuffed and just the shrimp were nearly tasteless. They apologized but that was it. We had a vastly better meal at the Human manor in Columbia the next day
Evelyn was an exceptional waitress and made our visit pleasant.
I was celebrating my birthday with friends. We really enjoyed dinner, the atmosphere and the service of our waiter! It was a very good dining experience.🍰🎉🎊🎈
I have been to a few of their locations around the country and have always been pleased. This particular instance though was a step down. The server was very courteous and attentive but missed delivering a few of our ordered items and had to be prompted to track them down. The late items ended up being lukewarm at best. Maybe just an off night.
Always a great meal and great service. Hot food and great drinks with excellent recommendations from the waitress.
We made a reservation the day prior for a party of 9. We drove an hour to eat at this restaurant during restaurant week and upon arrival was greeted by the host and told they needed to get our table ready. We were given the specialty menus for the week and seated. It took 10 minutes before anyone came to our table and it was a lady in a red sweater (assuming shift manager). She didn't even greet our table but instead stated loudly "we are no longer serving restaurant week because we are out of everything" then she walked away before we could say anything. Our waiter specified more clearly that they were out of the deserts and a few of the dishes, specifically the rockfish. We finally got water around 15 minutes later and around 25 minutes into the night we got our drinks we ordered. It was exactly 1 hour from arrival when we got our appetizers. The restaurant was not full, in fact it was quite empty. When a few at the table attempted to order off the main menu, they were out of those items as well. Later the manager came back by the table and when we asked about the issues, she stated that the restaurant was doing D.C. a favor and still never apologized for any of the inconvenience. Being someone who has worked years in the service industry, it was as if we were not welcome from the minute we came into the door. I was extremely disappointed in the service and even more so with the quality of the food. I would have been happier going to the Olive Garden.
Food prep was very slow and they didn't tell us that they ran out of certain items when we sat down. This caused an extra delay in choosing our meals.
Our waitress was not good at all. She did not explain the menu very well when it came to the vegetable and starch. Ordered a vegetable since it didn’t mention on the menu, she did not make us aware that a vegetable was already included.
The waitress never checked on how our meal was, did not offer additional drinks, when we did see her to order the drinks they never showed up.
Ordered the Maryland crab soup as an appetizer which never showed up, mentioned it to her and she could have cared less.
The menu states that the meals with crab meat was lump crabmeat, no where in any of the dishes did we have lump meat.
We brought all this to the managers’s attention who apologized for all our concerns, right before we left the manager took all our drinks off the tab.
It was very slow night at this restaurant and we would have expected better service.
I had an 8:00 reservation and did not get seated until 8:45. When asked why I was told that they sat their 5 topper 15 minutes before my reservation anticipating another table would leave. I received nothing complimentary for the 45 minute wait, just an "I am sorry, thank you for being patient." Service was sub-par and the staff looked overwhelmed.
We came for lunch for restaurant week and had a fantastic meal.
Great food great atmosphere!
Gave the best service and the meal was phenominal. Will definitely go back again and invite some friends to join me
Ambiance and service were outstanding. Drinks were Great. Ordered steamed crab legs and they were not steamed completely. Some of the crab legs were still cold when served.
I had a business meeting with my boss, the staff was notified and did a great job of giving us privacy and silent service.
Had friends from out of town join us for dinner, as always your food and service were excellent. Sadly i was really looking forward to sharing the experience of a chocolate bag with our friends but alas Tuesday night seems you were out ... better luck next time. Thank you.
The swordfish was quite dried out...very small portion even for a light lunch.
Service was pleasant but not very crisp.
Food was delicious! We had oysters and lobster bisque for apps, and rockfish, steak and shrimp mac&cheese for entrees. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable. The only negative was the hostess stand/wait. We were not greeted right away, and although we made reservations and tables were empty, they made us wait to be seated. 4 stars. Would definitely eat at M&S again.
Great waterfront view. wonderful food. Waitress Trish was exceptional.
Asparagus was burned but not worth send back the 5 thin stalks we got on each plate.
Had to send the filet stark back x 2 for a steak that was ordered medium well. First time came out rare with a hint of raw looking meat. The second time rare. The third time over cooked. I guess this was the lesson for returning the steak or the chief not wanting a third mishap.
Waitress was nice. Great view of the water. We have had a better experience at this same location.
The pan seared tuna was served in a heavy mayo based sauce that was awful. It was almost like the covered the tuna in flavors to hide how bad the fish was. I sent it back. The bacon wrapped shrimp are a favorite. Steak is good but too thin. I like the 2 inch thick filets and they don’t have them. The chocolate box dessert is great. The salmon stuffed with shrimp and crab was ok. The hot sour dough bread is awesome.
