Fantastic food! Fresh fish and seafood prepared perfectly. The piped in music was too loud and energetic for a nice dining experience though. Would recommend softer music.
Food was excellent! The margaritas are great - definitely recommend
I have to say that while the ambience was good and the service superb I had trouble seeing anything we ate as truly special. The meat menu was limited, perhaps the restaurant should brand themselves soley for seafood.
My Ribeye was very good. Prepared the way I like it and very tender. However, my wife's meal did not match. She got the McCormick Seafood Trio. Her shrimp were good but the Salmon was under cooked. It tasted fine but she got very sick. It was not the shrimp as I had some and we had no other food. Too bad. Very nice place and the service was excellent. Not sure we will go back. For the same price we could have gone to Fogo De Chow or Manny's.
Great food. Service was excellent. Frank is an exceptional waiter. Food cooked to perfection. Meal was well paced. Food arrived hot and so wonderfully prepared.
I had the salmon with orzo which was quite greasy for me, but tasty! The server gave us a chocolate lava cake ala mode with a candle gratis. Thanks for that special treat! My huband's cocktail never arrived, but he said that was oK as he didn't need it.
With a reservation we waited over 45 minutes to be seated and ended up eating in the bar. The crazy part is that no one ever ended coming to seat us!
Donna is a great server, usually works in the bar area!
The food was great. The wait staff was great. We were there just before noon. Not to busy for lunch time. Noise level was great. It was easy to listen and chat.
Great love the staff
Meal comped for Wait time
They were busy because of Valentine’s Day but the service could have been better
Even on Valentines Day where everyone is overly busy the service and food were still great.
Valentines dinner, so it was busy, but that was expected. We got seated almost immediately to our reservation time. The service was outstanding. Responsive and friendly.
The calamari appetizer was very good, highly recommended. I got the steak medallion and lobster tail, my girlfriend got the salmon. Everything was cooked perfectly, with the lobster tail being the real winner. The steak medallion sauce I personally disliked, but it’s no reason to lower the rating for the restaurant.
I got the walnut apple pie for dessert and, I have to say, for boot being an apple pie fan, it was amazing. The crust is superb.
Wonderful food but the “Chocolate Bag” dessert will have me coming back every chance I get, definitely something I haven’t had anywhere else
Excellent food!! Especially there lobster potatoes..
Great dining experience, our server Aime was extremely professional, attentive and made awesome recommendations. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxed although the dining room was quite busy. Great choice for dinner before heading over to Orchestra Hall.
We had shrimp kisses, ribeye, lobster, and king crab legs. Everything was great! The raspberry mule was excellent. Comparable to Ruth’s Chris at almost half the price. We will definitely go back.
We dined at this place a number of years ago and did not care for it, but thought it was time to give it another try. My husband had the twin lobster tails, as he loves lobster, but they were not very good - not at all sweet, as he prefers. They are served with mashed potatoes topped with a COLD lobster bisque on top - also not good. I had the mahi mahi, and it was also not very good.
The ambiance is great, the beers were reasonable ($5), and the server was also very good. But the poor food quality will ensure that we do not return.
We went for a romantic dinner on a Sunday evening. As it turns out, the restaurant was going to close in a few hours and convert to a hot chocolate stand for the Superbowl. While the server was stellar, the food wasn't. The plating seemed rushed and almost distracted. The fish was overcooked. The vegetables were a strange combination of beets and onions - as if they were emptying out the last of their cooler. The price for two people, $160. Super prices for the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, I'm a local...and I won't be coming back.
Mitchell our waiter made for a wonderful meal
Went to grab a quick bite while we were attending Super Bowl Live activities. Was nice to get out of the cold.
Solidly outstanding dining experience. From the attention to detail in seating requests by Daniel the host, to superb service by Barb Backlund - there since the restaurant opened 13 years ago - to absolutely perfect food and such a delicious feature wine - (2 bottles, 3 glasses) Elouan Pinot Noir. Five of us 6 live downtown or just across the river so we avail ourselves regularly of all the latest dining hotspots. We hadn't been to M&S in a while, which was a huge mistake. Everything about the place was professional, friendly, tuned to a tee without a glimmer of stuffiness or intrusive staff. Highly recommend without reservation.
Wonderful as always. Good value and great service, and the seafood was fantastic
Exceptional experience! Incredible service! Alex was very knowledgeable and fun to talk with. This was an anniversary dinner and I requested a special table. They came through for me and then some. Best dinner experience we’ve had in years! We even booked Valentine’s Day!! Highly recommended
I always appreciate and enjoy M&S; which is usually so good and consistent. The host and server were very helpful and pleasant - but I did not enjoy the jambalaya. It seemed overlooked and/or leftover. An unusual experience. Nonetheless, I’ll be back for my new favorite lobster Cobb tower.
Amazing shrimp (both the buttermilk and the coconut), fresh bread, incredible lobster bisque soup.
They offer you a frequent guest card, and when they being it to your table they've already added a $25 charge to your bill for the card. You get the $25 back the first time you use the card, but it sure feels dishonest not to tell you in advance that there's a $25 fee.
Every item of food was quite excellent. I was delighted that there were no $100 bottles of wine on the menu.
Good food and good service makes this always an enjoyable time.
