All that I can say is that our meal was over the top fanstastic! Everything was to die for. Shrimp kisses for app are wonderful, salads and soup - oh my goodness, had scallops - wow, and wife had fish and chips - better than Great Britian!
We had such a lovely time and the server was very helpful and honest in explaining the different menu options. I ended up trying something I never had before (swordfish) and it was awesome! Would definitely recommend :)
Really great food. The scallops are wonderful as was the calamari.
This was our first time at M & S and we had a great experience. The service was immediate, friendly, helpful and casual. The food was excellent. We learned about the late night happy hour too which we will try sometime...sounds great. Although this place is one of a conglomerate of restaurants all over the country owned by the Landry Corporation, it stood out to us in quality compared to many restaurants in town. We don't normally like these franchise type of places, but they've got it down here. We will definitely be going back!
Delicious salads, fresh and wonderful seafood, great service. My favorite go to for a business lunch.
The bartender was great and really made us feel at home. The server seemed a little cold but just could have just been his style too. The food was great as always and we love this place!
Crusted flounder with roasted potatoes and green beans was very tasty with good portions. Food is always good and consistent. Prices are reasonable.
Had a great time with my wife and our server, Christine, was great and very helpful throughout the evening. She made the evening for us.
Donna was our waitress and she was terrific. The entire staff was very accommodating and the food and drinks were great!
We 3 ordered 18 oysters. There was only 1 small thimble of sauces.
Great food, top notch service! Amazing, bold cocktails. Worth being adventurous, crafted to perfection!
Always have an enjoyable time when at McCormick and Schmick's. The reservation desk personnel are always pleasant and welcoming. Wait staff will always provide recommendations and very helpful. Bar drinks are mixed to perfection and food always delicious. Everyone I take with me have nothing but great things to say. Excellent experience and looking forward to my next visit.
We were well cared for by the staff, completely satisfied with the creative treatment of the wild Scottish salmon, and the Chocolate Bag (see attached image!) was beyond amazing. And the coffee was excellent too!
Service is excellent
The service was ok. We ordered a vodka martini and got sprite. Our meal came in the middle of eating our appetizers, a little too fast. I question how much was fresh or “already prepared”. The appetizer (oysters) I order were wrong and they forgot our fries with our meal. Our server was extremely pleasant and got tipped well for clearly a poor experience.
We celebrated my friend’s birthday with dinner, which was delicious. I’ve never had such tender, succulent swordfish. The Wild Isle salmon got a rave review from my friend. We thought we were too full for dessert, and then the waitress brought a lovely creme brulee, which happens to be the birthday girl’s favorite! Great experience— we loved our waitress too. She was delightful, attentive without being obtrusive. Thanks to the entire staff for a lovely celebration!
Place is awesome service was awesome food was great waitresses was great
Food, service, ambiance all meet expectations. This is one of our favorites on Orchestra Hall concert evenings.
Fantastic food! Fresh fish and seafood prepared perfectly. The piped in music was too loud and energetic for a nice dining experience though. Would recommend softer music.
Food was excellent! The margaritas are great - definitely recommend
I have to say that while the ambience was good and the service superb I had trouble seeing anything we ate as truly special. The meat menu was limited, perhaps the restaurant should brand themselves soley for seafood.
My Ribeye was very good. Prepared the way I like it and very tender. However, my wife's meal did not match. She got the McCormick Seafood Trio. Her shrimp were good but the Salmon was under cooked. It tasted fine but she got very sick. It was not the shrimp as I had some and we had no other food. Too bad. Very nice place and the service was excellent. Not sure we will go back. For the same price we could have gone to Fogo De Chow or Manny's.
Great food. Service was excellent. Frank is an exceptional waiter. Food cooked to perfection. Meal was well paced. Food arrived hot and so wonderfully prepared.
I had the salmon with orzo which was quite greasy for me, but tasty! The server gave us a chocolate lava cake ala mode with a candle gratis. Thanks for that special treat! My huband's cocktail never arrived, but he said that was oK as he didn't need it.
With a reservation we waited over 45 minutes to be seated and ended up eating in the bar. The crazy part is that no one ever ended coming to seat us!
Donna is a great server, usually works in the bar area!
The food was great. The wait staff was great. We were there just before noon. Not to busy for lunch time. Noise level was great. It was easy to listen and chat.
Booked table for 2, which became a table for 3 when the babysitter called off. The restaurant accommodated the additional child on Valentine’s Day, which was greatly appreciated. Had to wait over 45 minutes for our 6:45 reservation, so we sat at the bar, where the staff engaged our son and helped the time pass by giving him some cherries and other fruit to snack on. Once seated, our server was noticeably disgruntled and unpleasant. When prompted for the milk we ordered he told us it was our mistake since we had not ordered milk. We are Landry’s members and eat at theses restaurants all the time, so we were surprised at the inattention, which continued throughout the meal. Other staff brought our salads and meals which we saw sitting in the kitchen waiting to be picked up. 1 1/2 hours later we spoke with a manager about our experience. He offered us desert, which we accepted, but it did not make up for the nearly 3 hour ordeal which was our valentines date. The food was standard, but good. I had the scallops and wife had fish. While I enjoyed the scallops, they were visibly over cooked and tasted the same. They were even sandy as if they had not been cleaned. My son eats grilled cheese a lot, but on this night he only took a few bites. I sampled his sandwich and the cheese tasted like it had s wrapper on it - although it didn’t. First time dining at the M&S location will be our last unfortunately as there are other good choices nearby.
Great love the staff
Meal comped for Wait time
They were busy because of Valentine’s Day but the service could have been better
Even on Valentines Day where everyone is overly busy the service and food were still great.
Valentines dinner, so it was busy, but that was expected. We got seated almost immediately to our reservation time. The service was outstanding. Responsive and friendly.
The calamari appetizer was very good, highly recommended. I got the steak medallion and lobster tail, my girlfriend got the salmon. Everything was cooked perfectly, with the lobster tail being the real winner. The steak medallion sauce I personally disliked, but it’s no reason to lower the rating for the restaurant.
I got the walnut apple pie for dessert and, I have to say, for boot being an apple pie fan, it was amazing. The crust is superb.
Wonderful food but the “Chocolate Bag” dessert will have me coming back every chance I get, definitely something I haven’t had anywhere else
Excellent food!! Especially there lobster potatoes..
Great dining experience, our server Aime was extremely professional, attentive and made awesome recommendations. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxed although the dining room was quite busy. Great choice for dinner before heading over to Orchestra Hall.
We had shrimp kisses, ribeye, lobster, and king crab legs. Everything was great! The raspberry mule was excellent. Comparable to Ruth’s Chris at almost half the price. We will definitely go back.
We dined at this place a number of years ago and did not care for it, but thought it was time to give it another try. My husband had the twin lobster tails, as he loves lobster, but they were not very good - not at all sweet, as he prefers. They are served with mashed potatoes topped with a COLD lobster bisque on top - also not good. I had the mahi mahi, and it was also not very good.
The ambiance is great, the beers were reasonable ($5), and the server was also very good. But the poor food quality will ensure that we do not return.
We went for a romantic dinner on a Sunday evening. As it turns out, the restaurant was going to close in a few hours and convert to a hot chocolate stand for the Superbowl. While the server was stellar, the food wasn't. The plating seemed rushed and almost distracted. The fish was overcooked. The vegetables were a strange combination of beets and onions - as if they were emptying out the last of their cooler. The price for two people, $160. Super prices for the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, I'm a local...and I won't be coming back.
Mitchell our waiter made for a wonderful meal
