THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED! After an awkward encounter with a construction worker that informed us of this, I don’t understand how you can make a reservation for a place that no longer exists... Extremely disappointing as we had to find a place to go last minute
Great service & even better food
OpenTable let me make a reservation for an important business dinner at a McCormick & Schmick's that is NOT still open, caused major issues.
My wife and I often go to this location and in the past had no problems. On this trip however we were having a good-bye supper for my wife's aunt and she and my mother-in-law ordered the chicken pasta (a dish I have gotten before and enjoyed). On this occasion the meal was not satisfactory - both my mother-in-law's and her sisters pastas were dry - and the top layer of noodles were tough, as if they had either been left under a heat lamp for to long or were reheated in a microwave.
I was very disappointed that when we tried to enter the restaurant we had a hard time entering! Because of the parade they were very skeptical about letting people in with or without reservations!
Ahi tuna was far too spicy hot.
The food was mediocre at best and not even close to the prices charged. Will not go back.
Seafood is fresh and well prepared, but over priced, DC prices. Service has declined and for a Friday night they were not busy - prices? Disappointed, it was my birthday and being a Landry club member, no recognition. Should have gone to Mortons!!!!
I came into the restaurant for dinner to celebrate my birthday. It was very quiet minus a few patrons in the bar. Our server was super attentive and recommended great options which I truly enjoyed. I will definitely visit again!
Enjoyed our dinner but not without flaws, e.g. Film on wine glass and had to request replacement and cold stuffed mushroom appetizer. Nice atmosphere - enjoyed a stop here for a quick Saturday night dinner but not esp memorable
This is a great restaurant for a romantic evening. I like how the booths are very private and have curtains that you can close for even greater privacy.
This restaurant is in an office building on Westpark Drive. Do not follow Google Maps directions! It tells you that you have arrived when you are on Rt. 7 behind the building. Food was excellent but it was slow in getting to the table. Server seemed overwhelmed but very nice. This place is kinda not worth the hassle of finding it/parking/waiting for food—which was excellent when it finally came.
Always a great outing. Food and service are always exceptional !
We had a nice dinner in the bar area. Service was excellent and the clam chowder is always one of my favorites. Wine was good also. Thank you
This restaurant is consistently very good, both food and service. The private booths are particularly good for business conversations.
My experience was great. I was celebrating a late birthday and really loved the quietness and my waiter was excellent.
Not the level of service you’d expect at a place like this. It took over 10 minutes to be acknowledged once we were seated. A server that wasn’t ours noticed we’d been sitting a while, brought us water, apologized, and let us know our server would be right with us. (They weren’t busy at all, by the way). About 5 minutes later an older gentleman literally threw down some bread and butter on our table and quickly walked away. Another 5 minutes passed and the same man pops up and shouts “crab cakes?” Turns out this same older man was our server. I don’t know his name, because he never introduced himself or apologized for the wait for that matter. To make a long story short the food was great but the server was extremely off putting and put a damper on the entire meal. With all of the great options in the area (it was our first time at this particular McCormick and Schmicks) we’ll opt for Eddie V’s or Ruth’s Chris.
I love McCormick and Schmicks. They never disappoint. The menu looks like it's been streamlined recently. It's always a good option for business dinners. At this particular M&S, the bar is often active during HH hours.
We had reservations for NYE in a booth and were initially disappointed we still had to wait for about 25 minutes. The entire staff made up for it and it turned out to be a fantastic night with great food and excellent service! It was definitely worth the wait! As we've always experienced dining there, the food was absolutely the best.
Disappointed in the overall experience. Had dinner at 7 on New Year's Eve prior to going to a later party. We selected the restaurant b/c of location and because we thought it was a high-end steak house. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed the entire time, even though the restaurant was not very busy. Other waiters were more friendly and not harried. My husband ordered a rib-eye and was told they were out--- for a steak house to be out of one of the prime cuts of beef seems odd- obviously the kitchen had not planned and prepared for the holiday. The food was only mediocre and not what we expected for the price. The wine list was less than mediocre and very overpriced. We will not be returning to a McCormick & Schmick's.
I’ve visited different location, McLean location was a disappointment:
- Seated initially at worse table in entire establishment despite multiple open tables. After we were moved others were seated at same table and they asked to be moved as well.
- Waiter did not go over specials or dessert choices
- Waiter forgot order and did not bring out all appetizers
Great food as always. Just what is expected. The steaks where cooked to perfection and the truffle butter topped it off. The two different mashes where great.
The food was pretty good, but the service was slow and our server was forgetful.
we have a great time, the waiter (Carlos) was very helpful and I enjoy the place. Food was great.
Mammon our waiter was fabulous. Salmon rigatoni was terrific. Steaks superb and fish n chips to die for.
We have had Christmas dinner at the Tyson's McCormick & Schmick several times over the years and always had an extremely positive experience. This time the soup was cold and salty and the rest of the meal was only so-so. Greatly disappointed! However, the chocolate bag and the apple tart were terrific.
M&S at this location ha gone downhill over the years. Asparagus taken off the menu years ago. No valet parking the last few tears. Smaller portions and the variery on the menu is down. Not what it once was.
The food and service was excellent. The only negative was it was way to hot.
I have eaten at this restaurant on multiple occasions and have always felt it was worth the expense. I decided this would be an ideal place to celebrate our Christmas Eve by taking the family out for a high quality dining experience. Unfortunately, I experience was anything but high quality. While our server was polite he was barely existent throughout the evening, only coming at the obligatory check-in points. I even had to chase him down to get the check and pay for the meal, finally asking another server to help. I never did see our server at the end. It took us neatly an hour to get our meals, and when we did one member of our party was not served. His remarks was that there was an accident in the kitchen. The buttermilk battered shrimp had not been properly peeled and cleaned, and the Chesapeake fries served with them were so over-seasoned they were inedible. The pesto salmon pasta barely had any salmon, mushrooms, or artichoke hearts in it, just mostly sauce and pasta. The french fries served with one filet Mignon were heavily salted making them unpleasant to eat. Not once did the server ask how the dinner was. All in all a expense and disappointing dinner.
