Best seafood meal ever. A clam chowder with just a bit of bite, not the sometimes bland offerings elsewhere. I took the recommended Chilean sea bass casino style, and it is exquisite. Nothing I'd previously eaten had the quality of taste and texture of the dish, and my dinner partner spent considerable time laughing at my "look of bliss" with each bite. It was that kind of experience, and it will be repeated often. The table service was the best I've ever received, so I urge you to hurry to the Plaza and find your memorable meal.
We had to wait for our table to be ready. Had a drink in the bar area which was very crowded!
Food was good for the most part. Our server was excellent but he seemed very busy.
We were celebrating anniversaries for ourselves and our son and his wife. We made an early reservation to avoid the busy dinner rush which proved to be a smart idea. The food was excellent, especially the Crab Cakes and the McCormick Shrimp Trio.
We had not been here for quite some time but realized how much we have missed it. The food was fantastic. The service was excellent our server did a wonderful job. He took care of all our needs quickly but was not overbearing as some servers can be. Over all it was a most enjoyable evening. The friends we had invited we greatly impressed with this restaurant.
Entree’s were really bad. We did get our money back. Just really unhappy experience.
The food was very good. Unfortunately we never got bread with our meal. The waitress said she would bring bread at the beginning of the meal and my husband asked for it twice. We never got any. There was a customer that was complaining about there bill several times. I don't know if that threw the waitress off but she also was not good at filling my tea refills. After the unhappy customer left she was much better. The bag of chocolate was fantastic.
Very attentive service, food quality was excellent. Good variety of choices.
Had the opportunity to sit at the bar for a few beers and dinner. Prompt, courteous and knowledgeable bar tender. Tried some local beer and even a local whiskey. Sad that my scallop risotto dish was no longer on the menu BUT they made it anyway! Also got a free appetizer coupon from my hotel! Win-win.
While the food was still very good the service on this visit was lacking. It started immediately when we were led to a table by the hostess and the table was very obviously dirty. I actually had to ASK to be seated at a clean table. This should never have happened at a restaurant of this caliber. When I made the reservation I noted that it was to celebrate a birthday, my son's 15th. I wasn't expecting anything free but not one person from the hostess to the waitress offered a happy birthday to him and I mentioned it twice in front of our server. The waitress was unfriendly and we had to ask for our water glasses to be refilled. The whole experience was lackluster and for the first time I was disappointed in this restaurant. We've been eating here for many years and this was by far the worst. On a positive note the chocolate bag dessert, my son's favorite, which had gone up in price and down in size in recent years, was back to a nice size and packed with white chocolate mousse and berries! It was spectacular!!
I'm hoping we just hit an off day for this restaurant and we will try again sometime to see. If the service is bad a second time, I doubt we'd return.
When I made the reservation I indicated it was for an anniversary dinner. Absolutely no acknowledgement of this fact - so why bother. We were place in a back room with a bunch of teenagers having a prom night. McCormick & Schmicks has a beautiful view of the plaza - and we were shoved in a back room. Also waited over 25 minutes to be seated - even though we had reservations.
Was an awesome evening. We enjoyed a nice dinner and conversation. The new oysters with shaved ice was a fun new treat to try
Food was good, service was acceptable, unfortunately we were seated by the kitchen which was loud and at times distracting.
Our main waitress was excellent!
Food and service was exceptional! Thank you!
We had a lovely time. Our server was very good--attentive, helpful and quick.
Food was excellent but was very disappointed in the drinks..
Food and service was good. Although we felt a little rushed
We have been to McCormick and Schmick's many times and unfortunately have had a bad food experience there the last 2 visits. The king crab legs were cold and not of good quality for the price. It is unfortunate as my son loves to go get crab legs specifically. The calamari was very good.
I haven’t been to the restaurant in a while. I gave my sons graduation party there in 2011. Service wasn’t that great considering the amount of money I was spending. I decided to return and everyone was quit pleased. I feel much better with my experience this time. Thank you
Easter lunch with my Mom and Sister. Extremely busy lunch service.
It was Easter Sunday and they were packed. But our waiter wasn't harried at all. Very attentive, professional, and provided us with a well paced dining experience from appetizers to the chocolate bag. Manager stopped by our table twice to ensure we were enjoying our dining experience. Great food and wonderful ambiance! Definitely recommend!
Paid way to much money for burnt steaks that were ordered. Medium! Whey better steaks at cheddars for a heck of a lot less money! Won’t ever go back!
Easter Brunch! We started with the M&S Johnny Shucks Oysters they were great. The baked stuffed mushrooms were (outstanding). I had the seafood trio and loved the stuffed shrimp. My husband had filet and lobster (the filet was just ok).
It was very loud and hard to hear even the people sitting right next to you. The service was very poor it took over an hour to get our food and even then it was lukewarm.
Went for Easter brunch. We got there before it was busy, but food was slow to arrive, and it was cold when we got it. Limited selection on the brunch menu. Ambiance is great, but I think I have other locations I prefer for brunch.
We went for Easter Brunch and it was our first time eating here. I was impressed with the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very neat. I will definitely go back again.
We have been to M&S several times and have had very good service and food. But this time, the execution of order was sub-par. We arrived for Sunday Brunch on time at 11 am and were seated promptly. The facility was perhaps 70 % occupied. It took 20-30 minutes after or order to receive just our cups of soup. The entry took another 20-25 minutes and was flubbed, i.e., waiter brought us the wrong food. When we finally received our meals, they were luke warm at best. All this for simple biscuits and gravy.
I don't mind paying a premium for premium food and service, but this was not that. We'd been better off going to The Biscuit diner.
This was our first time to this establishment and it was absolutely amazing. I hope to come back in the summer out on the patio. Great prices, great Ambiance. There's even a curtain you can close for privacy at the booths. The dessert was amazing, I got the chocolate bag. I've lived here 7 years and finally made it. Boy, I've missed a lot!
Our Waiter Trevor was AWESOME! He was very friendly, prompt service, great personality!
Fabulous food and service, always excellent quality and wide variety of dishes
Amazeballs... first time I’ve eaten fish and loved it. Thankyou
Everything was delicious! Especially the Lobster Tail & Lobster Mac N' Cheese!
Only half full but stuck us in a small corner table. I complained and was moved to larger table in the much noisier bar area. The soup was luke warm. I told the waiter he commented he had heard that before . All in all no one really cared if we were there or not. I have eaten at other McCormicks . The Plaza location was not even close to the quality of food or service I have received from other locations
Fabulous food, wait staff, atmosphere, and company!
Food and service were excellent as always. Regina our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. A very pleasant time.
Great food atmosphere and staff. Views are great; we were sat at a table overlooking The Plaza. Top notch!
Staff was excellent and friendly! Food was delicious especially the dessert of the Chocolate Bag.
The salmon I had was absolutely delicious as well as the swordfish my husband had. Love the Chocolate Bag filled with fruit for dessert. It's a must have. Our server was very attentive.
We were in the mood for tasty seafood, which can be difficult to find when you live in the Midwest. We prefer to eat our evening meal before 6:30 so we were pleasantly surprised to have several options when making our reservation. We each had a salad, then enjoyed a dozen raw oysters and the lump crab cake. Simply delicious!
On our reservation I stated this would be for our anniversary. When we arrived the hostess wished us a happy anniversary and wrote it on our menu, which our waitress wrapped for us to take home! We ordered oysters for an appetizer, which were delicious. My boyfriend ordered the salmon special and I ordered the blackened mahi mahi. Both were amazing! Perfectly cooked, flavorful overall we were impressed and very full. They did offer us a dessert menu but we were too full to even look at what they had. Our waitress did surprise us and brought over a small brownie topped with ice cream for our anniversary. Kind of pricey but would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially for a special occasion.
