Easter was delightful! Food was excellent and my son said best biscuits and gravy ever! He had the side order. My son in law had the entree. It needed a fruit side or bacon.
Definitely one of the best outdoor dining venues in KC with excellent martinis, fresh fish , veggies and an excellent wine list ♡
40 minutes to get drinks/bottle of wine. Good crashed and spilled right by our table. Missing crackers with soup. Our friends were frustrated and we were embarrassed for recommending. For such a high-dollar restaurant, it was miserable. They clearly have major problems with staff coverage.
Very slow service
The enthusiasm and professionalism of our server Shanterra made this a wonderful evening. You are to be complimented for finding such a great staff member. Please pass along our compliments.
The server was horrible attitude inattentive. Spent over 800 and was not worth it. All of us had sub par food. Had to send back one and no offer to cover any of the ill Wtf. Done with McMormicks
Good place and food. Dessert was wonderful!
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at M & S. We were greeted with a happy anniversary wish and our server also wished us happy anniversary. Service and food was excellent!
Excellent food and service as always! We will be back!
The food was good, not outstanding. The service was good as well. The waitress was nice and engaging. However, it is a terrible shame that such a beautiful location does not have any dress code.
This is not being a snob, but we dropped $200 for a meal with wine and dessert and were seated next to a guy in old sweatpants and a hoodie. Kind of sad.
Timely seating, server friendly but not great, seafood and drinks delicious, sides were so-so. Spilled coffee all the way to table and on the table and did not clean it up. Entrees did not come out together. For the price we expect a bit more. Still, patio is lovely and seafood selection and prep is hard to beat.
The table location was not great. Lots of walk bys. From the door to other seat locations
Had a fantastic experience. Went here for an anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed. Our server was incredible and the food was really good. We were very impressed.
We had our daughters 16th birthday party here and the restaurant was very accommodating! Food was amazing and the staff was fantastic!
Did not have the wine I ordered by the glass off the menu. Ceasar salad was unsatisfactory- very little flavor.
I was there with about 15 business partners hosting a happy hour. Our server was super and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The manager, in particular was very attentive and accommodating. She really hustled to make sure we were attended to.
Went there for our 37th anniversary and was greeted promptly and seated promptly. Great food and service.
Aside from drinks on the patio, this was my first full meal at M&S. Two guests and I we thoroughly pleased. The food was fantastic! Although the prices are moderately high (still reasonable), the portions and quality were on par.
The service was appropriately timed and attentive. Only knock was the server seemed to forget a few simple requests and had to return a few times to take care of things even though the restaurant was not busy and seemed sufficiently staffed. Ultimately, she did a good job.
Great service! Amazing food- we can’t wait to come back
The halibut and swordfish were prepared perfectly with wonderfully flavored sauces and sides. The service staff all did an outstanding job as well. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal.
Great service and even better food. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good night in the plaza.
We had a couple of mixups on our order. The server was very pleasant but a little overwhelmed.
The dry aged bone-in ribeye is my favorite steak from any restaurant. I live in Oklahoma and have eaten this steak 3 times in the last year in Kansas City!
McCormick & Schmick's has always been a special place we go to celebrate special occasions. It didn't live up to our expectations this time. The service was great, patio had a great ambiance but the dining room was loud and the food choices weren't as good. We're not giving up on them yet...we'll try again soon and hope for better!
Our waitress, Jennifer, was friendly & attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
We had a great time, the food was very good as usual and everyone was there to make our evening wonderful.
Everything was great from the time we walked in and dessert was awesome!
Lovely!! We celebrated our daughters birthday and we enjoyed the entire dining experience!!
Food was excellent, though pricey. For that price level, I was not impressed with the attentiveness of our server.
Took my husband for his birthday. Requested a quiet table and indicated that it was for a birthday. We were seated immediately. We were put at a table which seemed quiet at first but turned out to be in front of a supply door and right outside a private room. The private room was soon occupied by approx 30 high school prom attendees and, if there was a door on the room, it wasn't closed. Staff had to keep interrupting us to get more chairs from the storage. In addition to the noise factor, I felt like I was being rushed through a meal at Denny's. We were offered drinks before we even sat down. Within 5 minutes of our seating we were ready with our drink orders. At the same time, we were asked if we were ready to order. Then our server brought our drinks. He started to pour what was supposed to be cabernet but was a white. As we were enjoying our cocktails, chatting and looking at the menu our server asked if we were ready to order. I explained that we needed a few minutes. Three more times this occurred within approx 15-20 minutes. We ordered our meals. He had the halibut which he said was very good. The asparagus spears were thick and tough. I ordered the twin lobster tails. They were very small and borderline cold. The lobster bisque mashed potatoes had good flavor but were room temperature. We were never offered a second round of drinks. There was no complimentary dessert offered for the birthday. This was to have been a nice, romantic, 65th birthday dinner for my husband. Instead, with a 6:15 reservation we were back in our car by 7:20 PM and the check was over $100 without the tip. I realize that cocktails can be a big part of the cost but he had one Boulevard Wheat beer and I had one glass of $8 Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon. Really reinforced my opinion of chain restaurants. It's not about the customer. It's about turning over the tables as quickly as possible. We won't be going back.
Loved it, but was seated right next to kitchen so there was a lot of hustle and bustle. Thankfully, we were able to close the curtains to avoid most of it.
The food was amazing! We started with shrimp stuffed mushrooms then shared a bowl of clam chowder. Both excellent! Then we shared the seafood sampler including grilled shrimp, stuffed shrimp and salmon. The plate was complimented with lobster mashed potatoes and green beans. Absolutely awesome. We finished the evening with the chocolate basket. Mmmm!
We ate here on a recent Friday night. I started with the salad with blue cheese and walnuts and my companion had the clam chowder. Both were very good. He had the mako shark and i had the blackened mahi mahi. We each enjoyed our entrees and shared the upside down apple pie for dessert. Everything was tasty and nicely presented. He really enjoyed the shark. There are some nice wines by the glass. Service was very professional. The restaurant is pretty with the stained glass ceiling. We were seated close to the bar but the noise level still allowed for conversation. Parking in the adjacent garage is easy.
Food good as always. Service good. Music way to loud and maybe inappropriate. Had to talk loud over music which add d to noise. Never been quiet establishment but tonight was a little to much
Service was great, we showed up early and took advantage of the happy hour!
A Kansas City favorite. Dinner was delicious. Service exceptional. Always a number one choice.
Love going for special occasions. The wait staff doesn't hound you, very nice to have an uninterrupted conversation over dinner.
We asked for a private table and got one... the crabcake and clam chowder were good as always... a great place for a business lunch...
Our server was amazing. We had a quiet place for lunch, away from the dome, as it was a birthday celebration. My friends had pesto pasta with salmon and chopped salad with shrimp I ordered a roasted turkey sandwich. It was horrible. It was ice cold as if they brought the pre-made sandwich out of the refrigerator and served it. The bacon was cold and not fresh, there was the s sliver of avocado and lettuce was wilted. The French fries were not recently cooked/some were burnt. I did not complain because it was a celebration for a dear friend and I didn’t want to spoil the celebration. I have eaten at MS many times, but never had food this bad. With no alcohol our bill was $66 plus $10tip. It’s not the money, it is the disappointment I experienced. Take the Roasted Turkey sandwich off the menu if you can’t make it fresh.
Stacey was a great server. We will ask for her section the next time we visit.
