McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Indianapolis Ratings and Reviews
We had reservations for over a month and requested s table, not a booth. I even called the day of our reservation to confirm the table and was told we were all set for a table.
When we got there, we were told we couldn’t have a table because they had several large parties that would be using all of the tables. I asked to speak to a manager, but the hostess left and came back and said they were getting a table ready for us. So we waited about ten minutes for a table. We were then seated in the crack dining room in the middle of a huge party all around us. Very awkward. Our waiter was clearly new and wasn’t familiar with the menu. Still the best NY strip in town though!
This was second time to eat there and both times one of us did not get what we ordered. this last time we waited 2 hrs. to get our dinner and then one order was incorrect. I don't mind waiting within reason as long as the order is right but since it was wrong, I do not think I will take anyone to this restaurant for a good while. It is a little pricy and you should get what you order in a reasonable time frame. One hour is long enough but two hours come on now that is pushing it.
My husband and I have been here several times and it was really nice. This visit was horrible. Service was slow, food was terrible, it was so loud you could not hear your self think, much less have a conversation. Granted, it was a Big 10 tournament in town, but we expect more from McCormick and Schmick's - probably won't take that chance again.
We arrived in time for happy hour. They have a large happy hour menu selection. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and the bruschetta. They were both wonderful. They also make a good Patron margarita. We moved from the bar to a table to order dinner. We both had the oysters, for an appetizer. It was my first time having them. They tasted good, but were a little slimy for my taste. We ordered the shrimp, crab cake and salmon for our entrees. It was wonderful, especially the salmon. Creme brulee for dessert. Spectacular! The service was impeccable. Definitely worth every penny. We'll be back!
It was our anniversary, so the ambiance was perfect! Soooo romantic, and minimal noise. The server was very polite, and brought our food and drinks out quickly. We really loved the shrimp kisses as our appetizer! We couldn't stop talking about how good they were.. and very creative! Definitely going back for more celebrations in the future!
Terrible service all night. Had to ask for refills every time. Asked for a bowl of chowder and never got it. Ordered a lobster tail with my meal and it was extremely small. Messed up another order in my party as well. Food just wasn't good at all. Don't think We will be going back.
We were pleasantly surprised with the Thanksgiving feast! So good!! My mother got the scallops from the normal menu & they were sensational! Service was slow & a little awkward.. He didn’t necessarily do a bad job. All in all it was a good experience & the food was delicious when it did come!
Robert complained that fish & chips were average. (It is something he often orders.). My bourbon glazed salmon was 'dry', especially close to the glaze. (Perhaps it had been glazed too severely.) A couple of bites were perfect, but that means about 3/4 was quite dry. I really enjoyed the spinach & mashed potatoes, tho.
Ambiance was nice. Waiter (Max ?) was attentive & pleasant. Bread & butter delivered prior to meal was very good & seemed fresh & tasted very good. Main meal arived in a timely manner.
It just seemed like everyone was rushed & were cutting corners. Quality suffered.
