We celebrated our dear friends 48 Anniversary. Judy was awesome.our food was prepared as we asked. A great place to eat in downtown Indy. In fact a must go to place👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great place to meet friends and dine on great food. 6 people and we all had different items. Everyone was pleased with their selections.
Server had no idea what he was doing. Christian was adamant risotto was a vegetable and suggested a mash potato side. My fiancé said that he must be confused was responded that there is confusion on both sides. Food arrived without risotto. He again was adamant that this is how it is served, a fish and veg plate only, clearly not what was shown on the menu. He apologized and brought the risotto as a side.
We were there to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday yet they were not aware of it despite selecting this option with my opentable reservation. He again says that the creme brûlée is the birthday dessert, which it was not as shown on the website. He then brings out the correct dish stating they were out of creme brûlée.
I highly suggest your servers shadowed and trained more thoroughly. I was embarrassed to bring her here for this special occasion.
I visit Indianapolis once a year and go to this restaurant every time. Delicious!
We had the stuffed salmon. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. Our waiter was fantastic. He was informative, attentive, friendly and fun. Would definitely eat there again and recommend it to friends and family.
Great food, great service. Definitely on the higher end of dining, but worth it.
My husband’s tuna was delicious but my crab and shrimp stuffed salmon left much to be desired. The service was great however.
Great food and service. Pricey.
Great environment and experience for our anniversary. We will be back for sure!
Food was ok, price was a little high for everything overall. Service was just adequate and the temperature of the restaurant was overly hot and humid, even at 8pm. The restaurant said that the hotel controlled the temperature and would not turn it any colder.
The food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. Perfect for our evening.
The glazed salmon with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach was cooked perfectly and delicious. Service was excellent. It's a nice quiet ambiance and perfect atmosphere for a business lunch or catching up with a friend. Will definitely go back.
No one was there and the service was terrible. The food was great as always but took way to long for everything.
This is the second time in the past month and a half that we have visited McCormick & Schmick’s on a Sunday evening for dinner. As we have eaten there many times in the past, we chalked up the very poor service we received to catching them on an off night. We returned last week with our out of town company, and the service was worse. There were not that many customers in the restaurant when we were there, but perhaps the restaurant was just short staffed.
First, we ordered wine. When we received our salads, the wine still had not been served. Because our waiter was nowhere in sight, I actually had to get up from the table to hunt someone down to help us. I estimate it took us about a half hour from the time the order was placed until the time the wine was served.
After the salad was served, we waited and waited and waited for our meal. We had our 3 year old very hungry grandson with us, and our waiter didn’t even check in with us to see if there was anything we needed or to tell us the food was on the way. I had to once again get up and stand by the table before he finally noticed and came over to the table. I am not an impatient person, but the gap between the salad course and the meal was ridiculously long.
The food was good for the most part, but your chef needs to revisit vegetable preparation. I like my veggies al dente, to be sure, but, for the second time in the past month, the vegetables were barely cooked at all. For example, the carrots were hard and crunchy and barely warm. Please cook the veggies a tiny bit more.
Finally, when we finished the meal, again, no waiter in sight! Because my grandson was restless, I once again got up and walked around the restaurant until I found someone.
I have always liked this restaurant but I have no interest in returning unless someone tells me this problem has been addressed.
I truly was a little disappointed as were going there to celebrate my husband's birthday and they really did nothing to acknowledge it. Most restaurants offer some type of dessert for the birthday guest. We had great service at first, but as the restaurant became busier, the service got much slower. Need to take this into consideration when assigning tables.
Had a terrific dining experience & Halibut we had was over the top delicious
Excellent 👍 food. My daughter enjoyed herself and it was her first time. The service was top notch, timely, professional and friendly. We asked to be serviced quickly because of plans later and it was efficient while still maintaining quality of service and food. My daughter really liked the bottled water 🤗.
It was good. Felt pricey though
Very disappointed with very poor service and equally poor food quality. We have visited other M&S locations always with excellent service and excellent food quality. The restaurant was not busy, so very puzxled with the lack of any enthuiadm and cordial treatment from Monte, our waiter.
They used the little coctail type oysters for the oyster rockefellar. By the time its prepared and cooked, you couldnt find the oyster. The clam chowder was excellent. Then we waited , waited , waited and waited for our main entree. Probably waited for about 30minutes. My 2 lobster tails again was slightly bigger than a 10-15count shrimp and was overcooked so it was terribly dry. That entree was $30.00! Our server was attentive but believe it was the kitchen that should get the Gordon Ramsey work over!
Great atmosphere, wonderful food and our server was AMAZING.
Made ressy. For a Thursday night. Prime time 730. No ressy needed. Plenty of tables. Quiet. Server was elderly woman. Pleasant and very knowledgeable. Party of 3. All had salad and fish. Food was great. They have fresh squeezed juice. Titos and grapefruit. Fan friggin tastic. It is a pricey but was a special occasion. Most folks would get steak i suspect but don’t dismiss seafood out of hand. Even that usually rocks at places like this, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
Great business meeting location. Food was excellent and we felt well taken care of.
The Beach Body convention screwed regular travelers.
Overall just HORRIBLE experience for this meal!
Arrived 15 mins early.
Told, not asked, to sit and wait, though tables were open.
Seated at one of the tables exactly at reservation time...and it was open the whole time.
15 mins to be greeted for drinks
25 mins before server came by
ordered and waited 1 hour and 5 mins for food.
3 of us - my son's calamari was good.
My wife's meal (salmon) came atop risotto which is not what the menu stated and server said yet that's wrong and he'd fix it. She ate her salmon and 10 mins after she was done, the risotto "replacement" was delivered.
I had mixed grill, shrimp and potatoes were cold but everything else hot.
2 desserts were comp'd
"Sales Manager" was filling in to help and she tried and was kind.
still gave server 20% tip and bill was $200
No where near value for the experience.
All of this with the restaurant about 70% full
The service was outstanding, noise level was low and the salmon was perfect.
A great dining experience.
The flavor of the food and the presentation was wonderful. Three of our four orders were mistakes. Mine was completely wrong, I sent it back and it was replaced with half an entree. I gave up and ate it anyway. It was delicious but not what I ordered.
Although the food was great, services was lacking on a slow Tuesday night. Margaritas were awful and we were still charged, were told to hold the menus after appetizers were brought, and the wrong appetizer was brought with the others. We were charged for this appetizer even though it was sent back. Salad and soup were brought after the entrees only after two people asked where they were. We were not offered any discussion with the manager and just wanted to leave even though our check was about $500 for a special occasion.
My filet was overcooked. The goat cheese mashed potatoes are delicious! Our server was excellent!
The food and service was good. I can’t say there was anything that was very memorable and the prices were very high given the quantity and quality of the food.
The 2 type of oyster was excellent and the coconut shrimp was really good. We ordered both of the soups and also the Caesar salad which are both good. The entry is on the salty side.
The waiter we had is not the friendliest, we felt rushed all through the meal.
I have eaten at McCormick & Schmick’s in several locations. This was the first time I did not have a good experience. The service was terrible, we waited a long time for each visit from our server. Our wine came when we were almost finished with the meal. The food was overdone. In general, this was not up to the standard a place like this should set.
The food was OK, but not quite as good as I had hoped.
The seafood was excellent, as we had the chef recommendations. We also celebrated a birthday and had the upside down apple pie which is fantastic. Excellent service.
The food and service was exceptional. The waiter was good and extremely knowledgeable.
One if the best value restaurants in downtown Indianapolis. Good food and service!
I don’t think the food was very good for the price...tasted bland
When we arrived on schedule at our reserved time (4:00 P.M. Sunday). there was no one working. No one. No bartender. No server(s). No manager(s). It felt like we were there after/before hours. A kind employee, still in street clothes, came by and offered to show us to our table and take our beverage order. He checked to confirm we had reservations (though none would be needed). He changed into work attire and remained our server through the visit, giving quality service. The food was good. The cocktails too. Odd though, we felt we were intruding at an inconvenient time. A lot of choices in downtown Indy, so maybe limit this restaurant to busier times when there is staff on shift. The valets (shared with the hotel) were charming and helpful. Many compliments to them.
Food was very over cook ask for medium well steak got a well done steak salmon over cooked and dry and hard
