Maine Lobster Bisque
Seared Ahi Tuna
Seared Rare, Sesame Cucumber Salad, Sushi Rice
Patio dining with heaters. We were there for Happy Hour - very few people. Likely uncrowded because rain was expected, we’ve heard it’s usually mobbed. We reserved outdoor table and felt “safe” in this Covid era.
We had a wonderful time visiting with friends. The food was excellent, the wine was delicious and the service was also excellent. The server was friendly and got our orders exactly right. He brought fresh, hot bread to start us off which is always good. We have found that M&S has a good wine selection for any meal. The crab-stuffed salmon is wonderful for us and I would recommend that to anyone.
My food was cold. It is cold almost every time I dine here.
Formulaic. Very average cocktails, shrimp cocktail wasn’t deveined well, ahi tuna didn’t seem fresh, crab cakes were more binder than crab. Service was fine. On a Saturday night, place was fairly empty (although during a pandemic, that is appreciated!
For the price, there are many other options in Houston.
Enjoyed great service on New Year’s Eve!
Great atmosphere, will recommend to my friends and family
Went there for happy hour for my birthday. The server offered free dessert for me when she learned it was for my birthday. The happy hour is always great with the food and drink selections. We were able to sit outside in the patio on a lovely day. Thank you for taking care of us Channel!
My friend and I celebrated her birthday today and our waitress Taylor was excellent!! She went above and beyond to meet and exceed our needs!! The food was absolutely delicious 😋 Thank you for making this birthday dinner special for my friend!!
Great place with excellent wait staff
Food was good, but it was way too crowded for this Pandemic era. Tables were not socially-distanced. People waiting for tables were crowded into the small lobby. To reach the bathrooms, you had to wade thru them. Worse, reservations were running 20 minutes behind. Staff was working very hard. Do not know if they were under-staffed, but it was a bit chaotic.
Plus, we requested Creme Brulee to go. It was scraped into to-go boxes, with no attempt to maintain shape or form. Burnt sugar crust was mixed through it. Discovered that the next day.
We have decided not to return, for now.
Needed to put in a review- During this time of Covid, was assured of social distancing etc at the restaurant. Which was totally not true. At least 2 people I saw standing around with no masks and no one enforcing it. Every table was occupied, clearly not 6ft apart and extremely busy. I understand it was the holiday- but with the current pandemic, if general precautions cannot be followed- then either do not offer reservations or stay closed. Will never be dining here again coz clearly there is no regard here. Very disappointed. In addition- the food was nothing to rave about- thicker than oatmeal consistency lobster bisque, a “herb broth” which was 😐. Just so upset and disappointed-
Great experience!! The food was amazing and the service was impeccable.
Very good food. Not sophisticated, more casual place.
Service was very slow. Entrees were not served together.
What a major disappointment on Christmas Eve. My sea bass Oscar was supposed to have a hollandaise sauce, but, this sauce was ultra thick, white and had the most off putting taste. The whole tables food was cold. The apple dessert was not well cooked (hard apples) and not served warm. Service was pretty awful with my husband going most of his meal with no drink refill. We had to ask twice. $380 down the drain in my opinion. I sent them an email with my “review” and they haven’t replied yet. I’m not surprised.
Worst Christmas Eve ever! Five members of our party received their entrees in a timely manner. one entree was late by about 10 minutes. It was sea bass, which doesn't even take that long. Then when it arrived, it was the price fixe menu sea bass, which is not what was ordered. No one in our party ordered the 3 course meal, so this mistake was horrible. It came with different sides than were ordered and the second bite was cold and raw. After taking a ridiculous amount of time, it was not even cooked! It was sent back. The manager came over to apologize and explain how it was the "#1 priority of the kitchen" and was being expedited. After 20 minutes, it still had not arrived Again, sea bass doesn't take this long....so much for being the #1 priority and being expedited. Truly a horrible experience and other than not charging for the meal that in the end we chose not to receive, they made no other accommodation. Poor service, poor manager....will not return!
The restaurant service was wonderful. The happy hour bar service was terrible.
Server was great. Food was excellent. Good atmosphere.
Poor service and poor food quality.
The service was terrible. We had to ask the waiter several times for water. We asked if he could take a picture of us and he said he was too busy.
This was my first time dining here and in one positive word, it was memorable. I will definitely dine here again. Zero complaints.
Omg the food was spectacular!!! Excellent 100% recommended
We celebrated our 2nd anniversary and everything was amazing
Gold Margaritas, Sea Scallops and Shrimp Kisses on point. This place never disappoints.
Food was mediocre.
The waiter was fantastic. But the salmon was undercooked. Could not eat. And no I did not tell the waiter. Waited for survey
I love this restaurant. The management and staff are always paying attention to detail. It feels inviting upon entering and the atmosphere is quaint. Food is superb and dessert is scrumptious. Til we see each other again McCormick. :)
Everything was great. Hostesses were kind, wait staff was attentive, food was excellent. We were here for Thanksgiving dinner, and we were "thankful" for their being open.
I love McCormick and Schmick‘s but I’ve been there the last two years for Thanksgiving and I’m disappointed in their Thanksgiving meal. Tiny portion of gummy dressing small portion of cranberry sauce way under cooked green beans and sort of tasteless turkey. Might go next year but will order something else instead of their traditional Thanksgiving meal.
We were travelling back to New Orleans on Thanksgiving Day driving in from San Antonio and wanted a restaurant with a traditional Thanksgivung meal. We made good time on the near 3 hr drive and arrived about 30 min early for our NOON reservation. They had a table and sat us with a nice view of the greenspace outside. Oddly, we ended up not ordering the thanksgiving meal. My wife and son had steaks and I went with fish. While the food was good it honestly was not up to the high standard we are used to getting in similiar dishes at many of our New Orleans restaurants. Also, the meal for us 3 ( 3 entrees, a salad shared by me and the wife, and 3 non alcoholic drinks ) was quite pricey at $ 180 including a 20% tip for our great service. That said, we had a nice meal in a nice restaurant for our holiday. We left about 12:40pm headed home to NOLA ( 5 more hrs of drive time ) stopping at BUCEE's in BAYTOWN at 1:15pm for snacks as I was not full after my earlier meal.
We just wanted a night out. My husband ordered the mussels and the tuna, both were delicious. I had the featured Red Snapper which was delicately flavored and the mashed potatoes made me forget me diet! Overall great. Masks were worn properly the staff and we felt safe and enjoyed our meal.
Very nice, menu somewhat limited due to CoVID, however our meals were excellent.
The food is consistently good. On our delightful fall days, the patio is a perfect place for lunch.
I brought my wife to M&S for a regular dinner date and we had a nice experience. Our server was attentive and we enjoyed our meals. Each of our entrees were well prepared.
Server was inattentive Food did not come out and then came all at once
Excellent greeter! She made us feel welcome to come and dine with them. Thanked us repeatedly for selecting them for our birthday dinner celebration. Our waitress was very attentive. Will definitely come back and the food was delicious!!
Managment and wait staff were exceptional as was the filet.
Great food! They even ran out flounder special and substituted our fish for no up charge at all! Julian was an excellent waiter! Thanks again for the experience!
