Excellent service by our waiter and the food was magnificent!
Birthday get together. Service was great. Food was tasty. Very good experience.
I've tried for a year to get the crab cake sandwich & I was finally able to get it. The service was good, as well as the food.
Sunday evening dinner was delicious.
Waiter was very personable and timely in his service.
Good food , excellent service
I ate at this location three nights prior and had an amazing experience. It is funny what three days can do. This visit was completely different. The service was still exceptional and our server went well beyond the call of duty to make sure we were satisfied. I wish I could say the same about the food this time. My food first came out barely above room temperature and my server took it back to the kitchen. She reappeared just a few minutes later with an overly hot plate... all they’d done was remove the condiments and put the plate into a microwave. The third time she actually dumped the plate and had the kitchen make a new plate. That plate was better. I’m not sure why there was such inconsistency in my experiences, but my advice would be for the diner to be a bit wary.
Excellent food, excellent service! Our server, Nikita, was very friendly and made excellent recommendations. Although it was nice to see the Blue Copaiba (?) specials in color, the presentation made it look like we were dining at a Chilis or Red Lobster. Descriptions as in the regular menu would have kept to the restaurant's classiness.
The server wouldn't let my boyfriend order my food. She kept talking over him.
Service was excellent and staff attentive, food was mid range and not up to the standards that we anticipated. valet service was loud and confrontational to each other and homeless hanging around made the location uncomfortable
The food was phenomenal! The shrimp appetizer was was delicious we should have ordered two! My steak was prepared perfectly & the blue cheese topping made it pop. Overall a wonderful experience & I look forward to eating there again soon.
Wife and I had an outstanding dinner accompanied by a great Ecco Domani white wine. She had the Chilean Sea Bass which was fantastic, while I had a great stuffed salmon. The salmon was delicious but I would have like to have had a bit more crab/shrimp stuffing. Clam chowder was outstanding as was the Iceberg Wedge. Finished up with a delicious strawberry cheesecake and a glass of Harvey's Bristol Cream sherry. We eat at M&S throughout the country. Sadly, they closed the one in Austin, TX, so we had to drive to Houston to enjoy their food and service. Morgan, our server, was very professional and personable. Great restaurant for seafood.
First time going to M&S and it was outstanding! Food was amazing! The steak was great! Will return!
Many things going on in Houston. However, it was a wonderful place to dine after a questionable meal at another restaurant the night before. Would highly recommend.
The shrimp kisses were amazing! Considering it was lunch time in downtown Houston, the service was very fast and the food was amazing. I would recommend bringing bread to the table prior to the start of the meal and appetizers. We received the bread after we ate the appetizers and some were working on their soup and salads.
We forgot that M&S is a chain in the worst sense of the word. It used to be pretty good, but it's become way too much of a "chain" mentality. Menu was limited to be candid, the wine and booze list was exponentially longer than the food item list -- we get it, you make all the money on the booze/wine and you want us to drink up! We won't go back. The food is OK, but no outstanding anymore. Bright spot was our server - ex military and he knew how to pay attention to all the tables under his purview, super polite and courteous (EVERYONE should get some military training in this respect), and he conversed with us during the meal.
We love going to this restaurant, the food and service is wonderful. We will definitely be back 😃
Great spot for a 2 couples dinner before a show at Jones Hall. The food very excellent and the service was very attentive. Quiet, comfortable, and affordable.
Excellent place for a business lunch
Had a great evening with my girlfriend on our 1 yr anniversary
We always enjoy dinner here. We have had the same waiter (John) twice and he is awesome- great service!!
The food was excellent. The service was horrible. We were on a home schedule. That's the reason I
made reservations. I took an entire hour to get our food. Afterwards it took 45 minutes to get our tickets. We had to actually go to the back where the register was, to speed the process things up. There was a game out I asked who was the manager. She told me that he was working with the thickets. Once I got back there she started working on them. The service overall was just ok.
Great service and the food was delicious.
I never got my lunch. The wrong item was brought to me, and it wasn’t replaced until everyone was finished with their meals, and it was just a salad. I got it to go because my clients had to get back to work. I literally had no meal the entire lunch.
Waitress was terrible, we were her only table and she removed our plates without asking and we still had food on the table...
Unfortunately very disappointing service. Sat at a table for 40 minutes without service. After asking someone finally came and then disappeared again. Only to put blame on the customer with an extremely rude demeanor.
Wonderful service and food
Amazing service and food was delicious!! I also love what M&S does for our US Veterans!! Thank you M&S!!
The food and service were excellent. Quiet, relaxing environment. One of our favorite restaurants.
Fantastic Service, Our waitress was Outstanding considering it was her first day of work.
Great deal for vets and families!
We were invited for a free lunch on Memorial Day to honor my wife and I as veterans. I served and my wife’s first husband was killed in Vietnam. We were treated like royalty and service was outstanding. Food was perfect!! Restaurant was amazing as all Tillman’s restaurants are! Fine job to everyone there
I already wrote a review for Yelp and for McCormick's. I have been a customer there since they opened in 2011. I went to the free Veterans meal on Memorial Day, and for the first time, I was charged a $.50 to go fee for the strawberry shortcake I ordered for take out. I thought this was a little much, as their prices are already pretty steep. The chef needs some training on food preparation. A shortcake is made with the biscuit on the bottom, with strawberries, juice, and cream on top. This was the opposite with the berries on the bottom, and a dry biscuit on top. It was not very good! Also, food presentation is important. The food was very good, but I had ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies. The veggies and mashed potatoes were on the bottom of the plate, with two hunks of chicken on top. It was not very appealing. Presentation is important!
Dead Fly in the food, when one takes clients to fancy restaurants for lunch... last thing you want is client leaves with bad taste.
Great ambience and waitress very knowledgeable about the food options. Family were very pleased with the food.
A good experience with friendly, efficient service and good tasting food.
We had a wonderful dinner, our service was great, and the food was delicious.
Everything was perfect, just too many beggars coming while you seat on the patio
Food and service was great - will definitely return
We had a very enjoyable Mother’s Day Brunch here. The food and service were excellent. The restaurant ambiance is very enjoyable. Even though there were a lot of big groups, ours included, we were able to hold conversations with each other and we didn’t have to talk over the din. Our server was awesome and took special care of my father-in-law, who has health issues. Our server was very attentive and paid attention to all our needs.
We had a lovely Mother’s Day brunch. The food and service were excellent. The only tiny issue was the tables were very close together to accommodate for this busier day. Squeezing in to a cramped area and then having another persons chair right behind me was a bit uncomfortable. The waitstaff seemed to have some difficulty squeezing to get to certain tables/diners as well.
Overall we enjoyed ourselves very much.
