very good food and very good service at lunch for a group of five. The place is never crowded at lunch and I only hope the restaurant stays open for lunch since it doesn't seem too popular in the area even though the food and prices are competitve.

Always love McCormick And Schmicks. Great food, great service and nice atmosphere. This time around especially the wait staff was younger, newer but very eager to please. There are lots of new restaurants cropping up near them, but this restaurant is still tried and true and will always be on my list of favorites. And compared to the newer restaurants, I can actually have a conversation here and hear what my dining partners are saying. Great place for deep conversation over a great meal.

This was my first time trying this restaurant and probably my last. It’s a good thing I had a gift card to cover the cost because it was definitely not worth it. You pay for the name on the outside of the building because it wasn’t for the food, presentation, or service.

I was so disappointed! Service was terrible, I even spoke with the manager half way though our meal, but it didn't help. To my surprise the manager didn't even come by the table, tacky. Drinks were slow to the table and the same drink was prepared wrong twice, bread with a tiny little butter for 6 people, my dinner came with my sisters salad like it was an appetizer, waiter never came to the table to see if we needed anything after our dinner was delivered, desert with no utensils to eat it with you get the picture. There are too many great places to eat in LA so I wont be back

First time - and certainly not the last time we will visit McCormick & Shmick. The food and service were both amazing - one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Don't forget the side of garlic mashed potatoes as well. Definitely going back, especially if Adam is our server! Thanks for the awesome birthday dinner M&S.

It was our first date night since having our baby boy! The service was a little rocky... our server had a mix up with my drink order (rosé champs instead of the rosé wine), then we ran out of sauce for the calamari- he was supposed to bring more but never did.. My hubby ordered lobster tails- the meal came out sans fixings (ie: drawn butter .. drool). The server took a while to return with said fixings.. My Chilean sea bass was over cooked, making it a tad hard and dry. Not the typical melt-in-your-mouth experience I’m used to. BUT the dessert was amazing!! :)

server got our order wrong and all he said was "its ok just get what you want next time" (SERIOUSLY!! WTF!!). he charged us for other peoples desserts. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

It took a long time to receive our food. Once received I wasn't thrilled with the piece of salmon that was on my trio plate (tasted fishy). It also took an even longer time to receive our check.

Disappointing experience - not characteristic of other McCormick & Schmick's we've visited.

First problem was that the restaurant said they didn't have our Open Table reservation. I had called earlier in the day to move up our original reservation only to find out they didn't have it. If I hadn't called, we would have arrived with no reservation at all. When we arrived, I showed them the emailed confirmation and they still insisted that they didn't have the reservation.

Second problem was the poor quality of the entrees. Lump crab cakes were small, poorly plated (broken and mashed up) and fishy tasting. Bourbon pork chop was cold and over cooked so badly it was almost inedible due to being so tough. Other elements of the meal were acceptable, not remarkable.

Finally, our waiter (John) must have been having a bad night - never introduced himself, forgot our wine order which only arrived well into the meal, and added a charge for a service we neither requested or received.

Overall, not at all the Anniversary/New Years experience we had been looking forward to.

Had a hilarious early family New Years Eve. Fantastic food for picky eaters across seafood and meat options. Were seated in a semi-private area. Lovely drinks, nice ambience with a touch of class. THANKS - we'll be back!

The server was great; One of the best I have had in the past. However since a lot of items are fried like Popcorn Shrimp and Fish & Chips they should use better oil. At least I had during the night a lot of stomach trouble. Also the Lobster Bisque was far too salty and too creamy. The fried fish was layered on the fries (chips) and made both extremely greasy. For the price it should be much better. I do not think I would repeat a visit.
