Made reservations for 7:30. Seared at 8:15. They compt a appetizer to make up for the delay. Nice touch but doesn’t really make up for a 45 minute wait.
Service was excellent. Food could have had more flavor. Portion size was lacking for the price.
Limited wine knowledge. I told the manager what I wanted out of a wine. He had an bottle in his hand so I agreed w it. Instead of opening it we had to wait for our waiter to come back. We opened it and it was not close to what we wanted. When the manager came back to discuss the wine he seemed annoyed. I finally ordered a wine when it came and I read the back it said what I wanted, mineral and clay with a Pommard grape.
We used to go here a couple times a yr now it’s every other yr.
at least our waitress was very nice
Wonderful waiter John! The best!!
I took my wife here last Sunday to celebrate our birthdays and the food was fantastic! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and my wife's scallops were incredibly tasty. The service was top notch as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Might have been a bad night. Service excellent. Knowledgeable and attentive. Sea Bass was not good... Fish and Chips, okay, friends who had steaks...loved them. The other four were regulars and had a long history with this place.
I've been here many times and usually have a great time. This time, not so much. The service was very poor - long waits to get things, long delays. Also, no real vegetarian meals were offered to our vegetarian diner at the table. Only 3 sides of asparagus, potatoes and Bruschetta. While the rest of us had nicely plated meals, he had to eat off appetizer sized dishes. We did not experience a special occasion for the $200.00+ we spent. Far from it.
Restaurant was nearly empty, but service was still slow and inattentive. We found a hair in an entree and were not offered something different or comped any part of the meal. The waitress never brought our sides. Poor experience for a special occasion.
Had to wait quite awhile to be seated. Love the food!
Good food, good service, good place to eat.
Usually their seafood is exceptional. This time is wasn't great. For $140 for two, the meal should have met our/their usual standard.
The food and service were superb. We appreciate the time given to the presentation as well as the taste. Great place for a meal and we will definitely go back!
Our server was fabulous, the food was good, atmosphere was perfect for our gathering.
They are make us feel so special because they said “happy anniversary” was like awww. The foods are ok and not great. Only need to improve from green beans taste frozen and scampi stuffed was not great! A little bit disappointed but other than foods was good. I was in heavenly with the color mashed potatoes taste so good! But need to more heat up. My partner plate was not that bad because dislike sausage. And dessert is soooooooo good!
We went here for my wife's birthday dinner and the service was excellent and we really enjoyed our meal.
The atmosphere is always great hear and the noise level is low so that you can have a conversation at your own table without being overwhelmed by other customers conversations.
The filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly and served with broccolini and mashed potatoes. The meat must have been served within seconds of coming off the grill as it was steaming hot; totally delicious! The halibut was as fresh as any I've ever eaten. The breading was light and tasty and the fish was served atop some roasted vegetables and potatoes, also delicious. It was a double birthday celebration and McCormick & Schmick's staff noted the occasion and also included a complementary dessert. Service was spot on, even on a busy night. We will return as it is a favorite restaurant.
Always a great experience and assortment of choices are always hard to chose from. Service is always top notch every time. Will definitely will be back soon.
It was Easter and the restaurant was full. The food although flavorful was all lukewarm. Usually very happy with M&S so we'll give them a pass since it was a holiday
Delicious brunch and excellent service despite a very busy Easter morning.
Overall everything was good (food, service, ambience, etc.). The only challenge was parking due to some large storage bins taking up space.
While we have normally given the restaurant good reviews, our Easter brunch was less than an inviting experience. While I would give the host and wait staff normal good reviews, our "server" was less than friendly.... I have never expected a lengthy conversation, but there should have been, at minimum, a "hello" and a "which one of you ordered...". Instead, it was a non-conversational toss of a plate to the wrong person at the table. Given that it was a time for family gathering, courtesy was especially important
We will never visit M & S for a holiday again. We visited for their Easter Sunday brunch. We were put in a very overcrowded, noisy back room. The brunch menu was very limited (Eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy items and beverages). Our lukewarm food had to be returned to the kitchen twice. Our server was very gracious about our disappointment and did credit one of our meals, but it was quite obvious that our food had been on the so called "warming" tray for quite a while as we received it about two minutes after we placed our order. We were hoping to have a nice, leisurely meal with good food as should be expected at a quality restaurant. I would suggest that if you are accommodating an overly-large holiday crowd, you should have enough staff in the kitchen to prepare hot food.
Once again we were not disappointed. Our server, Lois, took fabulous care of us. We can count on McCormick and Schmick’s!
The service was okay but the server forgot a thing or two, and why would you not ask how you want your steak done? Oh well, decent food served in a nice place, good overall
They do an excellen job for a birthday dinner. Food was excellent and service very good. Special menu and desert for the birthday person.
This is still one of my favorite places to eat. Great food, service and ambiance.
Excellent happy hour on the bar side. Good selection of appetizers
Went for my birthday dinner, with the extended family. Everyone loved the food. Our server (Matt, I think) was one of the best servers I have ever encountered anywhere.
I heard a lot of hype about this place and unfortunately it did not live up to it. I was expecting an exceptional meal, instead although good, nothing special at all about it. We were seated near the kitchen doors. The lights in the dining area were dimmed so every time a server opened the kitchen doors, we were flashed with bright lights. Not too big of deal but it certainly took away from the ambiance they are trying to create.
Overall the experience was very good. The seafood was very good including the crab cakes and the fried shrimp. The wine and the cocktails were also very good. The New England clam chowder was excellent. The server was extremely friendly and came back many times!!!
Wonderful steak and seafood. Our waiter was just about perfect and the chocolate bag for dessert was divine
Just so - so. Initially waited over 15 minutes to have waiter take order for drinks. Service improved as the evening went on. Waiter apparently going on smoke breaks between courses, as he smelled of cigarettes when he would deliver drinks to the table. Food was good, not great. Our bill was $486.00 for 6 people - we did have several appetizers and dessert (which was the best part) Just didn't feel it was worth the money.
Good food, good service
I have been here many times and look forward to menu options. Today I was disappointed they did not have a special value meal as they have and the hand breaded craft beer fish and chips seemed to be giant fish sticks. Heavily breaded and very little fish. Spaghetti had very little sauce. Menu seemed to be more limited than previous visits
Service was friendly, professional & timely. We had a booth and were able to have conversation & dinner even though families were dining at the same time. The lobster and beef medallions were perfectly prepared and paired nicely with sides. Special Occasion was recognized at seating and throughout meal including dessert.
We will visit this restaurant again for the food & service.
Thank you !
Food and service was excellent. Enjoyed our meal and experience at restaurant.
All the seafood was overcooked. My salmon was done to the point of tasting chalky. The shrimp was rubbery and flavorless. Crab cake was fine but nothing special. The lobster was over cooked. This was our second time leaving there feeling like we just wasted $150. Prior to that we had two mediocre visits. We won’t be back and I won’t recommend it.
