Bluepoints, fried calamari and scallops were all delicious.
The best place to go for a celebration lunch or birthday. We always appreciate the attention to detail.
Nice. Seemed like the menu was smaller than normal. Likely due to virus impact. Nice evening very good service.
NY Strip was disappointing. First bite gristle and fat. Should have been trimmed better before cooking.
Seafood requires a very strong culinary skill to do well. McCormicks does that. The lobster was very good and the drinks well made. The calamari was outstanding!! If you want the most tender calamari you can get, go here. I used to think Capitol Grille had the best, but I am no longer sure. My wife and daughter shared the filet and the crab cakes. I had oysters as an additional appetizer. They were good. The cheesecake was delicious for desert.
My fiancé & I were celebrating a date night that he won from a fun bet we made pertaining to the early snow fall. The waiter was not impressed w our humor & did not provide a very fun environment that we had hoped for.
The food quality was average at best. The fish was wet & Luke warm with a disappointing ‘crab cake filling’ on it with dried out mashed potatoes & warm green beans. My fiancé’s steak was also like warm & the side of lobster mashed potatoes was nothing more than dry mashed potatoes w lobster bisque soup poured on it. Again the good was disappointing for the cost & quality. The service started out ok but over time became slower & worse throughout the time there. I was so excited to take my fiancé here as it used to be one of my favorites.
Our party of four enjoyed excellent service and delicious food. Our server, Lois, was friendly and attentive; she made our dining experience very pleasant.
Same night availability private dining
Wait staff very attentive
Food was excellent
Recommend king crab legs
Service was exceptional and food exquisite and well spaced out tables. We felt very safe and enjoyed a lovely evening out.
Good food and service. The Shrimp Scampi had a nice looking presentation and was delicious. Brandy Manhattan was very good. The mostbimportant thing was the COVID precautions seemed in place: well spaced, masks and gloves worn. Felt safe.
Excellent food and service !
Tables were too close together. Didn’t feel safe.
There were four of us for Sunday dinner, celebrating three birthdays and an anniversary. The drinks were very good, the appetizers amazing, the dinner spectacular, and dessert was sublime. Our server did an awesome job, we were very happy with her. The ambiance was perfect, low noise level beautiful surroundings.
We sat outside. The outdoor space heater near our table was off so it got cold. The space heaters near other table were being used. Our waitress left us unattended for about 30 minutes at a time while giving all of her attention to other tables. After waiting over half an hour to place my order I was told my choice was sold out. Our crab legs were cold when brought to the table and the salmon was over cooked. The man who delivered our dinner wore a plastic face shield but no mask which is proven to be ineffective (allows germs to spread out the sides and bottom, including onto our food). This was the most disappointing experience we have ever had dining at our favorite restaurant. At this point we don not expect to return to the restaurant in the near future. Service and food were not the standard we have come to expect from this restaurant.
Beautiful day for outdoor seating. Server was outstanding. Savored the food.
The special is what we both had and it was excellent.
The service was as good as could be given the circumstances.
We will return.
It was a wonderful experience. Four of us enjoyed every minute from drinks to start to dessert at the end. Two of us had the Chilean Sea Bass, which was to die for, and our husbands both had steak. They both raved about it. Creme Brûlée and Caramel Cheesecake were wonderful to end a very enjoyable afternoon. Will definitely be back!
My friend and I sat out on the Patio and got dinner and drinks at happy hour prices. Lots of food, hot, cooked to perfection. The drinks were very tasty. Excellent service, attentive but not intrusive.
Great wait staff. Super attentive. And it was slow so they allowed us to linger for two hours. Food was average overall. Scallops were outstanding. Two of us had the fish tacos which were not so great. Little fish and little flavor. Shrimp lunch special was average. Fries some of the best! We'll continue to go back. It must be so hard right now (only four of us in the beutiful restaurant over Sunday lunch hour) and we overall love M&S
We were the only people on their heated patio and it was wonderful. I have kidney disease so I need to not be around people. This was our first night out in a year and it was perfect.
The walleye was very fishy, the steak was over cooked, tuna and pasta were pretty bland.
We celebrated our son's 41st Birthday and really enjoyed the food. The service was great too! We will definitely dine here again.
Rob Roy crab cakes wine steak lobster tail all excellent. Our waitress is a favorite of ours. She remembers us each time we come. We travel from Rochester mn to eat here and stay at the Westin a couple times a year. Thanks for a lovely time.
The earl grey tea was of a poor quality- especially for the price and the water was not hot. Food was good, atmosphere is excellent.
We really enjoyed Sunday lunch at McCormick our service was pleasant and knowledgeable, and made some good recommendations; and the seafood was delicious. Highly recommended.
The Lobster/shrimp roll was 1/2 the size compared to photo in advertisement. It also lacked shrimp and the clam chowder was luke warm on arrival. Better on past visits not sure if they just ran out to add to plate?
Very nice dinner. The fish was excellent. Attentive service from Ryan.
The Cobia was amazingly good.
Hamburger not cooked to diners specification
Crab cake and buttermilk shrimp were rated excellent
A touch overbearing regarding masks
Had a really nice time hear. One of the only places that we could find that is still serving a full menu. Will be coming back again.
They didn't have my 20oz steak, no steak sauce, and I still had to wait for fresh bread
We sat at the bar - the bartender was outstanding!
Not only was the server VERY pushy we literally sat down and she wanted our order but the food was NOT good. The lobster tails that I ordered had been shelled and the shells were all over the meat. The drawn butter was garbage and the potatoes tasted like they were from a box mix. Then to boot they weren’t serving the chocolate bag because: “ we are trying to cut down the people making desserts” okay, however this is a staple of the THIS chain ... so disappointing . So we order the French silk pie . It was frozen .
Great food, outstanding service, and a very drinkable Pinot Noir made for a wonderful dinner,
Was traveling for work and took colleagues to dinner. The restaurant seemed a bit understaffed, but the waiter was trying. Was brought a really nasty glass of wine with some gross looking substance floating on top of it.
Not sure if it was cleaning product or something else, but especially concerning with Covid-19 and general good food/drink prep procedures.
Our waitress forgot something requested by me at least 3 times during our meal. She also brought my husband's soft drink before bringing me my cocktail. I was totally disappointed in the service I received! The food was great!
We went for our wedding anniversary and had just an okay experience. Our favorite “chocolate bag” dessert really the main reason we went wasn’t available and when asked the server she said “we have to all be flexible during COVID sorry.” The calamari was very good which was appreciated. Our scallops were cooked perfect just interesting to place them on potatoes and corn instead of maybe risotto. Honestly next time at this price point we’ll try another restaurant in the area. We have been to this location many times and the server had such low energy/interest not to mention food changes that it was our worst experience there.
Really excellent experience. Comfortable and well-spaced. Derek put us at ease. Fresh warm bread. Immediate water. Raspberry Moscow Mule crisp and delicious. Portions great. Chef willing to actually cook the vegetables (What is with that these days). Cobia and shrimp superb. Seabass in broth obviously frozen, But well prepared. Id give a 4.8 if i could, But we will return . Comfy and good
27$ for a lot of potatoes some veggies and cold fish/crab. wife had watered down corn and 2 pieces of sausage in her boil.
