I had a wonderful birthday dinner of the Scottish Wild Isles Salmon. It was prepared perfectly! I also enjoyed my birthday dessert! We were welcomed when we arrived and had very good service.
Excellent food, good value with outstanding service. A pleasant dining experience
As always, we had a great meal and service. They were running the twin lobster special which was excellent.
Our server was great, making sure we got out of there within the hour, however both of our salads were wilted and some leaves gone bad. My steak was overcooked.
Molly did a grand job, easy but attentive. Hats off to her
Food quality has really gone down since it was acquired by Landry's. The food was very bland, including my daughter's king crab (not sure how they managed that).
Always amazing food!
Food was excellent, service was unorganized and very slow. Had the ribeye, wife had the stuffed shrimp, both were excellent. Good wine list, good happy hour apps/drinks
The happy hour menu was easy and fun to order from! We had plenty of yummy small plates that filled us up with a lot of variety! We had the Tuna, the coconut shrimp and the fish tacos - My husband and I then split the burger and we even had dessert, too! It was lovely. Our waitress seemed a little flustered but she was nice and seemed to be working hard during a busy happy hour.
Really overpriced seafood. Pricey lunch menu. Can’t think of anything else to say about it.
The server was lovely. We were on the patio which was nice until we kept getting a foul smell in the air. Not sure if it was sewer or car exhaust from the valet parking nearby. Food was average. The waitress was doing her best but I don't think they had enough help.
Kevin was great. Very delicious meal!
The food was good, but extremely overpriced. My friend wanted to change her side dish from French fries to a green salad, and was charged an extra $4 up-charge. It would seem that based on the prices that are charged at this restaurant, there really shouldn't be any up charges--especially for a basic baby greens salad with a dab of blue cheese and a few walnuts tossed in. My coconut shrimp were quite small compared to other times that I ordered them. Overall, we were disappointed in the value of our meal, especially when we have dined there many other times.
Paul is a great server! Really good experience
Great food, wait staff and atmosphere! A favorite place!
The food was really good. It is the service that need a lot of help from waiters to the managers.
The food was fabulous and our waitress Brandi was amazing. The hostess with the very short hair was very rude. Said we didn’t have a reservation. I knew we did!
The bartender was very good so we decided to eat there rather than the dining room. The apps were good, especially the calamari. While the entrees were very good I thought the sides were lacking.
We will be back. It was good to visit them again but we don't seem to remember it is there unless we are driving past.
Wonderful evening. Drinks & food was excellent all the way through from appetizer to desert. Service was good.
Better value than some of the well known Steak Houses. A little more casual, but the food is comparable, and the prices lower. Cant speak for the seafood, but the steaks are excellent.
seated 30 minutes after arriving at the time of our reservation, took forever to bring the kids drinks, incorrect meal brought for my son (it was corrected), meal not plated as described on menu (was corrected). Food was ok, I've had much better food and service at other McCormick & Schmidt restaurants
they seemed understaffed as we waited at the bar table and no one came and at the table when we got seated late for our reservation, the waitress was very nice but pretty absent and not terribly attentive.
i saw the waitress from the bar area serving in the main restaurant
would come back for the bar happy hour maybe but for the prices, not the main restaurant
this is a reliable and excellent restaurant ... sea food always prepared well....not too fancy - a bit pricey but in range...nice atmosphere....will return soon
Excellent lunch - had the New England lobster roll and clam chowder special - great service too.
Management reduced wait staff due slow reservation responses. Then the restaurant got slammed with and over abundance of patrons creating longer than normal bar and food delays. Restaurant management put all available hands on deck to try for a valiant recovery.
Sry disappointed with service. I made a reservation 3 weeks before as this was an important business dinner- I was taking my client out.
We decided to sit outside since the inside was very quiet and outside looked nicer. I asked 2 waitresses for help. No help. I asked for menus and the waitress came back with 1 for the 4 of us! I complained to the hostess/ general manager who came to the rescue. She had to leave and put ya with her number one waitress. When it was time to leave for the night, I couldn’t find waitress to pay the bill! Complete embarrassment for me taking my client out to a business dinner.
So we have watched the decline of this restaurant over the past 10 years and it makes me sad! It is in the heart of an upscale business/residential neighborhood, so people are used to excellent service, and we did not get that on our last couple of visits. Our waitress did not have a lot of confidence, so maybe she was new, and our meal was served pretty slowly. Cocktails were "different" (lemon drop martini, but really sour, like there was an ingredient missing). This was a birthday celebration, and we were given a rolled up menu as a memento. :/ Most restaurants give a nice dessert, so that was disappointing (when you spend $300 for a meal, a free dessert is appreciated!) and the waitress did not even acknowledge the birthday person. For the price you pay, the food should be awesome--2 of our fish entrees were very bland and the sides are just thrown on a giant plate with the main meat/fish, so you feel ripped off right off the bat. Our waitress did not check on us after serving, so we could not ask for lemons. Hope this helps with some reworking of staff to gain the upscale atmosphere that is missing!
Our food was good and the service was too. Our only negative was that our mixed drinks didn't have much alcohol in them. At $12 a drink it seems like the drinks could be better.
We had reservations at 5:45 , I had misplaced my wallet and the restaurant held my reservation until I could return. As always the staff was pleasant, the food was excellent , we truly enjoyed our meal
Excellent dinner and wine. The entire staff was professional and friendly.
A group of six coworkers on a business trip out for dinner. Everything from the hostess seating us quickly to the semi private booth provided to the completely wonderful service person to the food was first rate. Based on my experience, you should have an enjoyable experience.
Dinner took greater than an hour to be delivered after ordering and the meal was mediocre at best.
Enjoyed a night out with the wife in the bar area. We originally were seated in the dining area but wanted to take advantage of their bar area only specials (happy hour). We did a gathering of their smaller portion dishes and drinks and they were delicious. We hid a small snag at dessert. The dessert we ordered did not come out as pictured. We were expecting apple pie with a layer of nuts covering the top but were told that the nuts were worked into the crust, which was unfortunate because I planned on skipping the nuts and eating the filling with the nut layer topping. We relayed this to our server who notified her manager and they quickly waived the dish. Very hospitable and had a great time.
Great atmosphere, awesome food but service was a little slow considering there was only a few tables. Having said that our waiter was pleasant.
Nuts in salad were old. Tasted like stale and had to return the salad.
I was extraordinarily disappointed in my meal today. Overall, the service was incredibly poor. One of my fellow diners didn't get her meal until about 10 minutes after the rest of us did, which led to a very awkward business lunch. When she did get her meal, they missed the side of vegetables she had requested. I had to ask for a refill of iced tea, and I had requested my salmon to be very rare. Not only was it not rare, it was so overcooked it was almost inedible. For the prices charged, especially for lunch, this type of restaurant should not have so many misses on both service and quality.
Nice building. Always good food however the service was missing this time around. Server just did not care. The bar service was great as we stopped there first.
The stuffed shrimp crab was watery. The dish didn’t seem fresh. Claim chowder soup wasn’t creamy.
The food and service was great. However the noise level was very high. A few time we had to stop talking till the noise level went down
Always know what you get here. Food is always good and love the wood and glass.
