Exceptional service by our waitress who went out of her way to ensure my fiancee was served the excellent asparagus she really enjoys--no longer on menu--which is a MISTAKE. But our waitress asked chef and the asparagus served.
Worst McCormick ever... Bad service and management. We sat down at 6 pm and we didn't get our soup until 7 pm and of course, it was ice cold... I ordered steak (med-rare) and, it was colder than the soup... When we called the waiter we told her not to rewarm it in the microwave guess what, they threw it into the microwave and brought it back, steak still cold plate is burning. it was the worst night ever. I or anyone I know will never go to this place...
We were originally placed at a booth that was in a somewhat noisy section. I had initially requested a quiet table. Even though the private booth area was closed, they did accommodate us with a server there which was great. Very private and quiet. Our server was fabulous with her service; I believe her name was Rachael? I would definitely request her as a server again because she was so great. We thanked her with a generous tip. Our appetizers were over fried (lobster bites) and way too salty (shrimp kisses), my salad tasted like it was missing something, just kinda bland, but our entrees and dessert were good. Because we care more about the ambiance than the food, it was a nice date. I would just skip the apps next time.
I don’t know if it is just us getting older or what, we used to love McCormick’s, but, you can totally tell they have been turned into a corporate machine.
Everyone was nice but the bench seats are ridge and tight, maximize for occupancy and to keep you moving.
Waitress was very, very nice - but didn’t know the menu enough to recommend food to match her customers and while we were a very laid back table, we just wanted good booze and food. Mojito was made without sugar and had to be sent back (no comp or discount). Manhattan made with a reserve bourbon on the rocks was over machine made ice, think hotel, not McDonalds ice. Then wine was a 15 min wait... raw steak was out and sent back before it arrived.
Seriously, we are NOT those people, but when you have reservations for a 15 year anniversary and it takes a GM to come out to make a steak correctly, that is bad.
Don’t get me wrong, friendly and I can get how things happen, but it just seemed like a lost night that cost us $180 for yd2 cocktails (1 sent back to remake), 1 app, 2 mains (steak returned twice before GM cooking a filet up to perfection), 3 glasses of wine and that’s it.
Nothing compensated, no military discount. McCormick’s used to be a high end place, now it’s an Applebee’s with s limited and over priced menu. Just empty flat food, unless the GM fires up the grill - has it come to that?
The steak was overcooked (although they did bring me a new one and it was OK, not great). The wind didn't come out with the meal. We waited quite a while for our food. Pretty pricey for mediocre. Was disappointed.
M&S is a good option when you want a good meal at a decent price. They changed their menu since my last visit, so I played it safe and had the grilled salmon with rice; always a good choice. My wife had the trout which was also very good. They will not wow you, but not a bad choice for a good meal.
Good service. Food was good. Parking options are lacking but not the restaurant’s fault.
Service was slow!!!!! Went there before the theater and had to rush out because we waited so long.
The food wasn’t what I expected. For the prices the taste was less than its value.
Meal - Salmon rigatoni, pasta was terrible, leathery and tough. My guess is they used leftover pasta from the weekend.
