McCormick's Seafood Trio
Grilled Shrimp, Stuffed Shrimp, Grilled Salmon
Dry Rubbed Black Angus Ribeye Steak*
The service was great. The food was ghastly
Stopped for a post Nats game meal on Fathers Day. Food was excellent! The service was outstanding. Well done to the M & S team!
Kayla did an awesome job taking care of us. She was very attentive to our needs throughout the meal. She was professional and respectful. I would love to have her as our server in the future.
We had the ribeye steak, the shrimp scampi, and the Cobia. All three food items tasted outstanding. We would order these items in the future.
Wasn’t busy so we were able to be seated quickly and to my table preference. The food was good but steak was undercooked, asked to be cooked a little longer then got a new steak that was overcooked. Server was really slow for it not to be busy. Just the details for me that made the dinner short of spectacular.
Food and drinks was good
The server was very attentive and made good recommendations for our party. The classic clam chowder is very good and has the perfect spice to it. The fish and steaks were cooked to perfection. A great place for a business lunch
The first time they gave us potatoes that were hard and raw from the inside. Made a complaint and they replaced the potatoes and when we came home the ones they replaced were not very different from the earlier ones. Will avoid this restaurant in the future.
Service was great. Staff was friendly and attentive without being nosy. Food was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Would come back again.
The only good thing about this restaurant was the drinks. The mashed potatoes taste worse than the boxed ones you buy at the grocery store. All the food was more than horrible- I will never be returning.
We enjoyed the flavor of all the food we consumed.
Food was really good. Service was outstanding. Even sitting close to the bar the noise was very minimal. Obviously this was due largely with very few people being here due to Covid.
We had a good time. Great Service! It was very quiet and we enjoyed lunch a lot.
It is refreshing to have great food and service. You pay for it, but it is worthwhile if you want to enjoy yourself.
Service was very good the night that we were there. Food was very good.
When I got there for my reservation no table was available and we got placed at the cocktail area. Nobody came to take our orders for 30 minutes before we had to say something. And everything I wanted to eat was sold out or they didn’t have butter for my lobster tails. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this location to anyone
Went for Mother’s Day Brunch and the service was horrible. 30min wait for drinks from the bar. 45min wait for a glass of water and appetizers I requested when we first sat down. 1hr for entrees. It was ridiculous and the restaurant was not busy at all.
This was the worst steak house I have ever been too. Will never go to this chain again. Service was horrible and my steak had to be sent back and it took 15 minutes to get it. My friend was already done eating her small lobster tail!!!!!
The food was underwhelming but the service was good.
Scheduled seating was much delayed. Alternative suggestions to be seated on very high stools after witnessing the cane being used by one of us. I was assisting her. That was thoughtless.
My steak and presentation, resting atop smashed, mashed potatoes not great. Meat was tough.
Service was slow although there were only 2 other families in the dining room at the time. As things picked up I could see the wait staff hanging out near the kitchen area but not checking on diners. Apps came out fast but soups/salads took much longer than they should for items that are mostly pre-made. Cobia was dry and flavorless and crab cakes had lots of filler. An overpriced, underwhelming Mother's Day experience.
Pre-Mother’s Day Dinner!
Boring chain menu. Overcooked fish, over seasoned entrees, slow service. Ignored the special occasion tag. Price point doesn't match reality. It's not a seafood version of Morton's, its a fishy upgrade from Friday's. Too much good seafood in the DC area to go back.
I had the Lobster Tails... They were old and over cooked. My Green Beans were extremely soggy. Very disappointed in the meal... more disappointed that they did nothing to rectify the issue. So. Not.worth.the. money.
Great Happy Hour specials, the bar is great, nicely spaced tables, very clean, and great service. Our waiter was always checking in with us about every 5-10 minutes, which was nice. We’ll be back.
The food was great, the portion sizes just right, and our waiter was very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant was almost empty and therefore no problem with social distancing. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was good as always. My guest enjoyed seafood and my Tuna was perfectly cooked.
Restaurant was completely empty. Carlos was AMAZING!! Thank you for your service!!
We are Landers Select card holders and we got a server who was on day 2 at the restaurant. I think he should have shadowed someone to make a better experience.
Great date night out with my fiancé! The food was wonderful! They followed COVID guidelines. A little noisy at times due to some people enjoying themselves loudly, but overall it was great!
We loved EVERYTHING we got here. We decided to make our own tapas-style meal by ordering a bunch of appetizers and sides and we were all gushing over everything the whole time. The cocktails were yummy too, plus our server was attentive and just so delightful. So glad I live close by and will definitely be coming back!
Absolutely wonderful choice for catching up with an old friend!! We each had a different entree (crab stuffed shrimp, salmon, tuna, and filet) and all were delicious!!! Three different desserts -- chocolate silk pie, cream brulee, and apple pie were all yummy, though we agreed the apple pie was the best ever! The service was outstanding and all "rona" precautions were taken without negatively impacting our dining experience. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area. While not inexpensive, absolutely worth every penny, especially for a special night out!!
M&S remains a solid choice for a regular meal or a special event such as a recent bday celeb. Two tiny things to suggest for the manager:
1. Make sure to use filtered water for the tea, as I could taste the impurities in the water in the hot tea, which greatly diminished its taste.
2. When people order tea, offer the entire box for them to select from, as opposed to grabbing a couple of random options and adding it to the tea saucer.
All else, particularly the Hawaiian bowl was perfectly delicious!
The waiter was ignoring us and also he never came back to check on us.
Everything was amazing. This was the first time we were able to all dine as a family together in 5 years! The ambiance was nice and it felt like we were in our own private section
We made dinner reservations for Easter Sunday at the McCormick and Schmitt in Crystal City. We were very disappointed to find this restaurant with no outside tables even though they are located on an ample corner. Inside the restaurant in very dark and uninviting. Most of the table are still closed off but even those that are open had the feeling of bare bones afterthought. No table cloths and only a wine glass and a rolled set of silverware greets you at the table. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. The Lobster Bisque, which should be a stand out in any seafood restaurant, was thick and tasteless with just a hint of anything lobster. The stuffed shrimp, which used to be a stand out dish, was just mediocre -- the crab meat stuffing tasted more of breading than crab meat. On the bright side, their bread is good although the butter has very little taste.
Had reservations online and requested distancing and because I'm hard of hearing, I can't hear when others are talking around me. Was placed near restrooms and large party, while it was only.two of us for special Easter dinner. Requested another table and they were very accommodating. Food was very good, lobster tail was very cold, and cocktails were delicious. Service with waiter was impeccable.
We had a party of ten and everything was taken care of for us.
I have to say I was very disappointed, I ordered the Fish & Chips and what I got was 4 little fish sticks and a hand full of fries. If I am paying $22 for a meal I would expect a lot more than I got. Can't say I will go back anytime soon.
For a Friday night it wasn’t crowded. We were seated immediately and the server promptly appeared to take drink orders. The Oysters Rockefeller were outstanding. However the whisky plank salmon was just OK. Nice piece of fish but it was a bit fishy and the flavor didn’t work for me.
The server was delightful and stopped by just enough to be attentive without rushing us.
Overall the food was good and the service was great. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants fish and steaks in Crystal City.
