I enjoyed myself. The service, food and atmosphere were all great!
My experience was absolutely horrible. Visiting McCormick’s for the first time ever in life for my anniversary was the worst decision I ever made. When I arrived there was an additional 20 min wait fro my reservation time. Once finally seated, it took a waiter 10 minutes to come serve drinks and dropped the tray on my wife. Everyone was starring is was the most embarrassing thing ever. We wanted to order and leave right away. The waiter comes back to our table 20 minutes later to let us know they were out of lobster tails. At this point, we just left and every other Romatic diner was closing at 10pm. So our anniversary was horrible thanks to McCormick’s.
Food and atmosphere were awesome. We had a reservation but still waited @ 40 min for our table. We were pushing it to make our show after dinner but we made it!
My wife and I made Valentine's reservations at McCormick & Schmick's. Parking is always a challenge at Easton, so that was anticipated. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation, and we were told it may be 20-30 minutes before being seated (from the congestion up front, we were not the only ones with delayed reservations). We found a couple leaving the bar area, so we sat down for the wait. The bartenders ignored us for 5 minutes before I was able to catch their attention - she promptly informed me it would be "a little while" before she could get to us. When she returned and my wife requested the cocktail menu, she rolled her eyes and turned away again (making us wait even longer). Luckily, we had time to finally order and enjoy our drinks before our table was ready.
We were seated in the main dining area. The restaurant is completely open, so you have a nice view of the parking lot and the people waiting in line for their reservations. Because there isn't a dress code, outfits range from jeans and baseball caps to suits and jacket/slacks. Because it's attached to the mall, most outfits tend to be very casual. For a ~$40 entree restaurant, it definitely doesn't feel higher end.
Our waiter was decent, but he seemed like he was covering too many tables. Our salad plates sat at the table for at least 15 minutes (after we'd eaten the salads) and water glasses were empty for much of the time. We never heard about any specials and didn't hear any recommendations. Luckily, the food quality was good (cooked as requested). Unfortunately, everything was delayed (and initially my wife didn't have utensils to eat her main dish with).
My wife and I are pretty relaxed when it comes to restaurant service, focusing on the opportunity to just be out with each other. If you're looking for a date night or an evening out at a quality restaurant, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
We had nice time, the only thing that bothered me was the fact that even though we had a reservation we had to wait 20 minutes for our table, and there was a delay in the food because of a large party. In my opinion they didn't plan ahead for the party and made other patrons suffer.
The food was quite delicious however the wait was a little disappointing. We didn't receive our entrees for an hour and to get a side of sauce my wife's steak was almost gone.
Great. Excellent service and a fun dessert
Always a great experience, which is why it's one of our favorites for everyday dining or date night.
Our experience was ok. The appetizer, which we ordered 5-10 minutes after we ordered our drinks came out first. Our entrees came out before we could finish our salads. The swordfish was over seasoned.
Great food and great service
Service was long and infrequent visits to table. Appetizers came out after the entree and the fish entree came out Cols and was sent back. Felt like the cold same plate was microwaved and brought back. No manager ever stopped over to apologize or offer a coffee on the house:((
We chose this restaurant for two reasons 1. It was 1,000 points for that evening and 2. We have been here before and enjoyed our experience. Overall the experience was good but didn’t live up to the hype from our first visit. I had been on a very strict diet prior to this evening and it was a treat for me to go out and eat so I was anxiously awaiting my order of filet Mignon with asparagus and grilled mushrooms. I also asked for extra asparagus. Wife ordered a salad and a salmon meal. Her meal was great. My meal came out and she must not have put in the order of extra asparagus. So I had to wait on the extra order. I asked my steak to be medium and it came out really rare. I told our waitress and it took about 20 minutes to make it right. When it came back out it was still medium rare but not worth complaining again since I was really looking forward to having a steak and couldn’t wait anymore. The waitress was friendly and the staff was friendly.
Our waiter John did a great job of serving us on our belated Valentine's Day date night.
LOVE! The food was amazing and the service is great! Fantastic drinks, as well!
We waited 15 minutes past our reservation time for a table. The waiter was good, my steak came out without blue cheese and mediums rare instead of medium well. This was rectified once we were able to track down the wait staff. A manager came by and offered a quick apology but not even a small reduction in price. Overall a good meal but unfortunate presentation and service.
Valentines Day. Loved that we sat at one of the private booths. Lauren was our server and she was great. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the menu and all they have to offer from the kitchen. She knew all the cheeses they had to put on my salad and she explained how we could change cooking styles on the menu. We had a great evening!
Although my wife and I have eaten here several times before I was extremely disappointed with my most recent visit. We arrive late due to traffic and our friends had already been seated. They told us they had to request that the music be lowered because it was offensive. Service was terrible and the food was only mediocre. The house was full of coarse, because it was Valentine’s Day, but a restaurant of this caliber should’ve been able to handle it. I am not very demanding when I comes to eating out, but this establishment was way off the mark.
After we were shown our table in a brighter, louder part of the restaurant, we asked if we could have a booth in a quieter, less bright part of the restaurant—on the opposite side of the restaurant. No problem. But—they didn’t reassign the waiter, so we were served by someone from the way other side of the restaurant. He got to keep his table—but as a result, we had less attentive service.
This place never disappoints ❤️ The food and the service is always great.
The music was loud and out of character for the ambiance. Had to talk over the music and others seated around our table. I was expecting a more higher class of clientele and a dress code that would coincide with the prices of the meals. I saw people in dressed in jeans, work boots, flannel shirts and camouflage vest. Was really let down for the romantic meal we where there to enjoy.
Excellent as always. We love the swordfish!
I usually enjoy McCormick & Schmick, however on this occasion the service was slow. The food was “warm” when it arrived at the table. I ordered the Ultimate Mixed Grill. My food was salty. Maybe next time ...
This place is always special and amazing. Our service was good but not fantastic. And the music was odd - up beat current pop music in what otherwise feels like it should be Sintra/classics esk. And, I think we were sitting under a speaker so the music seems very loud to us. But not enough that we complained.
The chocolate box with the white chocolate mousee - to die for!
Took daughters out for a special night! They had a blast and loved he experience!
I was awarded an Open Table gift card for this restaurant. I really want to give a more positive review because the service and ambiance were awesome. I have had a love for Swordfish for years and unfortunately received the worst tasting piece of fish of any kind. The plate looked great, very artistic. The Crab meat and spinach bed were awesome and honestly the only way I could finish my meal was by mixing it with the Swordfish. I am surprised and disappointed - I really don't know what went wrong but the Swordfish itself was bitter and very sour. My Open Table reward seems wasted. Can something be done to make up for this unfortunate event.
I've had mixed experience with McCormick & Schmick's. This time though it was just not good. We got seated right away but there was a long gap between our appetizing and dinner. Then the waiter removed our bottle of wine without asking and we had to ask for it back in order to take it home. The coffee came to us lukewarm and the cups were only half full. The whole meal took about two hours which was an hour longer than it should have. The kicker, though, and why I won't go back, is that the rounded my bill up when they charged my card. I didn't notice until I got home but the receipt had one amount and the card receipt a higher amount. Granted it was only about $0.50 but I gave no permission to round up. That's basically stealing.
Had a great meal with great service. Would definitely be back.
They were very accommodating to the requests I had. From the host, waitperson, and chef.
It took a little while for us to be served. Another waiter (Matthew), noticed how long we had been sitting there without being helped, so he stepped in and we are glad he did; he was awesome!
Second time I've eaten here and been disappointed. With so many other options in this same space I will go elsewhere next time. Portions were small, I was served a small end piece of fish, which is unacceptable. We also had to wait for our reservation, even after showing up early. If I'm going to spend that kind of money, i'll go to Ocean Club, Coopers Hawk or Kona.
