Made a Saturday evening reservation thinking it would be required; however, arrived to find the restaurant fairly open. Busy through the peak dining hour and then dead -- very surprising. I've always had a good experience here and wondered 'where are all the other diners?' Has Easton fallen out of fashion?
The food was great as always. And the service was excellent!
I love this restaurant, if I want a nice dinner. Our waiter was wonderful and we didn't feel rushed, like he was trying to turn over the table. Food was amazing.
Good food and service. Was seated immediately. Nice atmosphere and not too loud.
I feel it was too loud. Could not hear my wife talking to me.
The ribeye was of poor quality. It may have been a select cut but certainly not choice or prime. The rub used was of a salt base, enough salt that it was as if the meat was being prepared for storage.
Great ambiance, great service! We all enjoyed our meals and wine and fell in love with the chocolate purse filled with white chocolate mouse dessert!
Just a small issue with the wait for a server because of the shift change but overall a wonderful experience as usual
The waitress didn’t seem interested in really waiting on us. The food was super salty and the dessert was cold ( we ordered the bread pudding). Overall, not great!
Best salmon I have ever had!! Great ambience for a date and great wine list!
Good food good service. That says it all.
The overall experience was wonderful. We were celebrating my husband’s new job and my son being home from college.
Food was good but it took a little long to get our entrees.
Could improve on quantity. For the price you didn't get as much as expected.
This was our first visit to the Columbus area and we choose to eat dinner at McCormick’s this evening. The area were the restaurant is located is very nice and modern and the restaurant is located right on the corner with a nice view of the area. I ordered the Surf-&-Turf and the steak was a nice size and tasted fantastic, but my Lobster tail was smaller then I anticipated, I was very surprised by this since this restaurant is part of the Landry’s chain who usually provides good quality meals as well as good portions! Don’t know what happened here, but I will probably not be returning to this particular restaurant when I return to the Columbus area.
Great food in an environment where you can conduct a discussion.
Good food, could have been warmer.
Very good service
Service was terribly slow. Although we had reservations, we were seated 45 minutes later and dinner service was even slower(was told the kitchen was backed up due to a large party). We’ve had better service before so I will chalk it up to a rare night for M&S. The food was delicious, the restaurant energy high and the company (our friends) great, which made up for the slow service.
The wait times were more than one hour past reservations. A stream of angry patrons complaining to the host did noting to improve the experience. The host handled the complaints and anger with more grace than could have reasonably been expected. The shrimp cocktail had been frozen at least once before it was served. We ordered a bottle of wine which wasn't very good and prompted us to pull out a phone to check the market price. ...500% markup. We over heard staff talking about the wait for food being another hour. I discussed these things with the manager and we left without being charged for the appetizer or wine. We had no desire to wait on the main entree and cancelled our order.
Our experience was terrible, we had a 7 o’clock reservation which we were seated late and we never got our dinner and had to leave at 9 o’clock to make the show at 9:15. It was the worst service we have ever gotten anywhere.
The food is always delicious, and the setting is very nice. This is still one of my favorite places to dine. Unfortunately, I find the menu selections to be less than reasonably priced so I typically only dine here once a year for my Birthday.
The service this time was not as good as it typically is, but we came around 6:30pm, which I realize is a busy time.
This was the worst dining experience we have experienced in many years of dining out regularly!
There had to have been a total breakdown in the kitchen! We waited over an hour for our entrees to be served. The people at the booth next to ours left without eating. Our waiter tried to stop by and update us but eventually was embarrassed and stayed away. The manager offered to pay for our drinks (3) but we actually got charged for them plus one extra!
We will not be back!
The fresh seafood options are hard for us to find in Central Ohio, and this place did not disappoint.
Very good seafood with great service in a great atmosphere. We decided to eat early and avoided crowds and noise.
I enjoyed myself. The service, food and atmosphere were all great!
My experience was absolutely horrible. Visiting McCormick’s for the first time ever in life for my anniversary was the worst decision I ever made. When I arrived there was an additional 20 min wait fro my reservation time. Once finally seated, it took a waiter 10 minutes to come serve drinks and dropped the tray on my wife. Everyone was starring is was the most embarrassing thing ever. We wanted to order and leave right away. The waiter comes back to our table 20 minutes later to let us know they were out of lobster tails. At this point, we just left and every other Romatic diner was closing at 10pm. So our anniversary was horrible thanks to McCormick’s.
Food and atmosphere were awesome. We had a reservation but still waited @ 40 min for our table. We were pushing it to make our show after dinner but we made it!
We had nice time, the only thing that bothered me was the fact that even though we had a reservation we had to wait 20 minutes for our table, and there was a delay in the food because of a large party. In my opinion they didn't plan ahead for the party and made other patrons suffer.
My wife and I made Valentine's reservations at McCormick & Schmick's. Parking is always a challenge at Easton, so that was anticipated. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation, and we were told it may be 20-30 minutes before being seated (from the congestion up front, we were not the only ones with delayed reservations). We found a couple leaving the bar area, so we sat down for the wait. The bartenders ignored us for 5 minutes before I was able to catch their attention - she promptly informed me it would be "a little while" before she could get to us. When she returned and my wife requested the cocktail menu, she rolled her eyes and turned away again (making us wait even longer). Luckily, we had time to finally order and enjoy our drinks before our table was ready.
We were seated in the main dining area. The restaurant is completely open, so you have a nice view of the parking lot and the people waiting in line for their reservations. Because there isn't a dress code, outfits range from jeans and baseball caps to suits and jacket/slacks. Because it's attached to the mall, most outfits tend to be very casual. For a ~$40 entree restaurant, it definitely doesn't feel higher end.
Our waiter was decent, but he seemed like he was covering too many tables. Our salad plates sat at the table for at least 15 minutes (after we'd eaten the salads) and water glasses were empty for much of the time. We never heard about any specials and didn't hear any recommendations. Luckily, the food quality was good (cooked as requested). Unfortunately, everything was delayed (and initially my wife didn't have utensils to eat her main dish with).
My wife and I are pretty relaxed when it comes to restaurant service, focusing on the opportunity to just be out with each other. If you're looking for a date night or an evening out at a quality restaurant, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
The food was quite delicious however the wait was a little disappointing. We didn't receive our entrees for an hour and to get a side of sauce my wife's steak was almost gone.
Great. Excellent service and a fun dessert
Always a great experience, which is why it's one of our favorites for everyday dining or date night.
Our experience was ok. The appetizer, which we ordered 5-10 minutes after we ordered our drinks came out first. Our entrees came out before we could finish our salads. The swordfish was over seasoned.
Great food and great service
Service was long and infrequent visits to table. Appetizers came out after the entree and the fish entree came out Cols and was sent back. Felt like the cold same plate was microwaved and brought back. No manager ever stopped over to apologize or offer a coffee on the house:((
We chose this restaurant for two reasons 1. It was 1,000 points for that evening and 2. We have been here before and enjoyed our experience. Overall the experience was good but didn’t live up to the hype from our first visit. I had been on a very strict diet prior to this evening and it was a treat for me to go out and eat so I was anxiously awaiting my order of filet Mignon with asparagus and grilled mushrooms. I also asked for extra asparagus. Wife ordered a salad and a salmon meal. Her meal was great. My meal came out and she must not have put in the order of extra asparagus. So I had to wait on the extra order. I asked my steak to be medium and it came out really rare. I told our waitress and it took about 20 minutes to make it right. When it came back out it was still medium rare but not worth complaining again since I was really looking forward to having a steak and couldn’t wait anymore. The waitress was friendly and the staff was friendly.
Our waiter John did a great job of serving us on our belated Valentine's Day date night.
Out of town visitors. Valentine’s date. We were seated immediately. The food was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the tender and sweet crab cakes. Devoured the green beans. Mmmmm.
LOVE! The food was amazing and the service is great! Fantastic drinks, as well!
