This was our first time eating here and for the price of our dinner compared to the quality of our entrees & service provided by the waitress we will not come back. We were very disappointed because the menus looked awesome. If the server had been more passionate/informative about the food OR if the food quality had been better that would have changed my opinion. This dinner was supposed to be a celebration of our 3 year anniversary and unfortunately I was the one to pick this restaurant as I wanted to try something different from our usual “special dinner” locations (we usually go to either Hyde Park or Smith & Wollensky… which I thought your restaurant would be on par with, but after dining at your Easton location I would consider your restaurant to be more so compared to the value of Red Lobster or Olive Garden… but with worse service). As far as the food goes our experience started off well, the oysters were awesome… but unfortunately after that our dinner took a nose dive. There were may things that made our special night something to forget. To start off our server was very unhelpful, she did not offer any recommendations on specials, recommendations on food (like when I asked if the Tuna entree was spicy), or wish us a happy anniversary (the hostess did wish us a happy anniversary right and we walked in the door and again when we left though). I ordered the Hawaiian Bigeye Ahi Tuna which I was not able to eat more than a few bites of because it was wayyyy too spicy for me to tolerate. While I do have my limits on spice levels, I do enjoy a moderate amount of heat… but I was told this dish was not spicy at all. My boyfriend ordered the Crab & Shrimp Stuffed Sixty South Salmon which was also a huge disappointment. Even with it being saturated in sauce, the salmon was so overcooked and dry that it was crumbling apart every time he put his fork into it (he had to use leftover crackers that came with our oysters to scoop up the salmon onto his fork).
This was atleast the third time we have had fried shrimp that came WELL done! We should have refused the plates!! Once we returned the shrimp twice!!! We had not been there since
Covid & just expected better food.
Great atmosphere, food, and service.
I would recommend to others.
The service was good. Food was terrible. The Hawaiian tuna sounded good on the menu, however what showed up was a fish so covered in spice (heat not flavor) that the actual tuna flavor, the thing I was wanting, was gone. I had 2 bites and couldn’t finish it.
This wouldn’t have been a concern if ANYWHERE on the menu it mentioned that this tuna will be dredged in cayenne and no flavor. I paid 32 for some sticky rice and flavorless tuna
We visited M&S on Thanksgiving day for dinner. We were seated quickly. Seating was not overcrowded with some tables (I believe intentionally) left empty. Our food (sea bass, salmon) was excellent. Our server, lily, was very attentive and never left us alone for too long. We would go back again.
The food came out brunt (salmon and potatoes) and was told there were no more red potatoes. Asked for fries to replace the brined potatoes and was charged $5. The service was slow, sat for 10 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order.
Wonderful for the holiday meal they offered. Lots of turkey! Delicious selections!
Food was not impressive. Ran out of product to provide smoked old fashion bourbon, steak was initially under cooked even for medium rare request, service was slow and not attentive to check in frequently after food was delivered. Had to wait several minutes for waitress to arrive to flag her down to request for extra warm marinara sauce for the calamari and after waiting a few more minutes she brought cold cocktail sauce. Once I realized it was the wrong sauce, I had to wait again and repeat the request. Just overall very average food with minimal flavor in main course and sides. Prime location and ambiance was only positive from the experience
Service was good. The waitress was pleasant and efficient though not a wealth of knowledge. The decor is very nice. The look and feel are certainly the high point of the restaurant. The music choice is ridiculous for a restaurant; A bar maybe but not this type of restaurant. The menu was uninspiring. The food was good but not great. Do not order the calamari as it is very very overdone and flavorless.
In general, if you need a place to each while in Easton this place is fine. But if you are choosing a place to eat in Columbus there are dozens of better choices. I would recommend with an asterisk.
Our server was somewhat overwhelmed but understandable for the Pandemic era. The food was well prepared.
Delicious food, attentive server, delicious birthday dessert.
Run, don’t walk, from this restaurant. This was hands down our worst dining experience of all time. We eat out quite frequently. I’ll keep it as simple as I can due to the word limit.
Waiter asks what we want to drink. My husband asks for rock ice for his bourbon, he says no because they’re only for certain special drinks. Okay, no biggy.
I ask if they have bread service to which he oddly responds “usually” and then brought it out with app.
I got the grouper and subbed mashed potatoes with lobster mashed potatoes which was just mashed potatoes with some of there lobster bisque poured on top for an up charge I thought there would be actual lobster involved and there wasn’t- no big deal). My husband got the filet, medium.
The steak wasn’t cooked properly and The grouper wasn’t cooked through. I knew the second I stuck my fork in it that it was cold (fish is flaky when done-this was tough).I stuck my finger in to be sure it was ice cold. Since our waiter didn’t bother to come back to make sure it turned out ok my husband asked the hostess to speak to someone (at this point he’s eating dinner without me while I have to watch).
A manager came and took the plate. She never bothered to come back and check on us. She did offer a free dessert and my husband declined. She sent the hostess to bring the new fish to me and stand and watch me try it (why didn’t the manager or our waiter do this?).
I realize the new entree did not include the “lobster” addition to my potatoes and my husband mentioned it when he finally came around again. I had already eaten most of the potatoes at that point and I told him it was totally fine without it. He came back with a small condiment cup and quickly dumped lobster bisque on my Plate and walked away (so bizarre-but I realize he did this so they could still charge me for it. It’s $6 so whatever). My husband and I took turns watching each other eat. No manager came back, the waiter did nothing to make it right.
Food was great ! Great experience with Norman 11/18! Terrific server !
Everything - food, service, ambiance - was average. The steak was undercooked. You could have an equally good experience at Olive Garden at half the price.
Great place for a celebration among family or friends. My father-in-law thought it was the best clam chowder he's ever tasted!
This place has the best food! The steak was just amazing!!
Food was average. Price was expensive. $150 included tip. Not great for average dinners.
Great overall experience. Food was incredible, but the service was a little slow for how few customers were there.
First we are told out of mussels appetizer, note, this is the third time we
have been their over the past year where they were out of mussels! Next
told out of the wine we ordered! Then are "walnut" salad came with no
walnuts and was small for a 12$$$ salad! Entrees were good but little
on high side. Waiter was okay but entrees took long to show up.
We will think twice about dining at this place. Nice ambience.
Anniversary Dinner. Lobster meal came out cold and was sent back. The cook just wasn’t good this evening. The Lobster Tail was tough, my husband and I concluded we should’ve gone elsewhere.
Nice job recognizing Veterans Day, always a great service by McCormicks
my sea bass was the best fish I ever had. Awesome!
Reunite with my sister and her family
Veterans Day special light number of people. Good service, ok food at a reasonable price.
Nice place to go eat on a date night. First waiter we had was very rude but after speaking with the manager and got a new one. After that it was a great experience
Enjoyed a relaxing lunch during a busy girls weekend full of shopping. Soups were on point and the fish & chips delicious.
We were greeted quite nicely, and we loved the decor. Our server, Benjamin, was terrific, attentive, friendly, and communicative. The clam chowder was among the best I've had, but the ribeye and Chilean Sea Bass were quite average for this type of restaurant. Additionally, my wife had to send the ribeye back for additional grill time, which still wasn't good enough, as our medium rare + order came to us as rare, then barely medium rare. Surprisingly, though the manager stopped by and was apologetic, the restaurant didn't do anything else for our trouble. The restaurant was out of one of our choice sides, surprising for 6pm. On the positive side, the chocolate bag was unique and terrific, if overwhelming!
Given the available competition in this category nearby, we probably won't be in a hurry to return.
Happy Hour with a friend… GREAT value on the happy hour menu!! The truffle fries & fish tacos were delicious! Benjamin greeted us & was an awesome server!! We’ll definitely make it a regular thing!!
Great overall experience as usual
Waiter was excellent
We both had the Shrimp Kisses appetizer and enjoyed it, very tasty. We both also got the Open Blue Cobia with shrimp scampi, potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Our dinners were very good and the service was good except we received no recognition that it was our anniversary. That was disappointing.
Very comfortable and relaxing to have a dinner Date are going out with your family
Great experience last night. Good swordfish and lobster tail
We had the best and most knowledgeable server and the food was excellent!
The big eye tuna looked like an appetizer. Fish was oddly dry and cold as not seared with a cool center but refrigerated cold.
Anniversary dinner, John provided outstanding service, happy-friendly-informative information answering all questions and provided options. Main meal along with desert was so… good .
Very nice server
A note was left for the restaurant and it was not honored
The service was slow . The waiter was slower
I came for my birthday had a party of 15 people it was nice inside very neat but as my service sitting at the table was nice just couldn’t get are steaks medium well they kept making them medium rare or well done which is not what I asked for also by me having a birthday dinner I thought they would give me desert or ask they didn’t I asked them so wouldn’t recommend coming here for your birthday dinner coming
