McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Cincinnati Ratings and Reviews
Had amazing dinner Byron was our server made us feel right at home. Came for dinner but had the lunch entrée instead which was more generous portions. We all had different fish dishes and they were perfectly prepared. Lobster mashed potatoes are out of this world. Tried the Millionaire Coffee after dinner could have had another.
We had a great experience, started with being seated a little early. Had the shrimp bites for an appetizer, could have stopped there and been satisfied. Salad was fresh, filet was perfect temperature, lobster mashed potatoes were amazing. Finished with the bread pudding and I was down for the count.
I went here for my birthday with about 10 of my friends and family members and everyone had a wonderful time and an exceptional meal. I was allowed to bring in my own birthday cake which some restaurants didn't want me doing and I even served it for me which was very special. The food is excellent of which I already knew that before I went but it is more on the pricey side so it's more for date night or special anniversaries but I'll definitely be back for my birthday next year
We went here for our 5 year anniversary. It was romantic and nice, however, the food is definitely overpriced. It was all good food, however, for the price we paid we didn't leave feeling full. The service was quick and we got our food quickly. My stuffed shrimp was overcooked and slightly burnt. For the price we paid, we felt we could have had a better dining experience, better food (and more of it), and overall a better time somewhere else.
I took a date to McCormick & Schmick's for Restaurant Week. They brought out his entrée and not mine. After 5 minutes, we flagged our waiter down and returned his so we could eat together. They then brought our meals out and it was like they microwave his steak. Then our crème brulee was watery and not cooked through. Very disappointed. Thought they would of done a better job considering it was Restaurant Week and trying to get new customers.
We usually really enjoy this restaurant. Since we do, we thought we'd go during restaurant week when they were having specials. Unfortunately, the specials no where close to their normal quality. The fish dish small and not very tasty. The shrimp dish had so much spice on it, the shrimp couldn't be tasted. The desert was so small, it came out in what looked like they'd serve condiments like ketchup or mustard in. The service was excellent as usual. But if they think they'd attract other business with new customers trying the specials, it's just the opposite, sorry to say.
Our serve was very attentive. One problem, I had asked him what Achiote Potatoes were and he responded just small potatoes. It was with the Fish special. Had I know it was spicy and with onions, I would not have ordered it as I don't like anything slightly spicy. As a result, I only could pick off the fish and ate bread. He later offered to get other vegetables, but I was already partly through the fish. The salad was wonderful and my sister was pleased with her dinner.
We went to celebrate my birthday . It was a Sunday evening so it was pretty quiet which was fine for us . We sat by the window facing BoiNaBraza and for some reason when a homeless person would walk by he or she would flip us the bird ,lol.
The staff was awesome but not annoying - I believe our servers name was Mindy and she couldn't have been more pleasant. As for the food : Out of this world !! My husband had a perfect steak and I enjoyed the stuffed salmon . There coconut shrimp is to die for and the desserts should be against the law !
Overall a very nice experience and we would highly recommend to everyone .
This was our second night in a row eating here. The first night service was prompt, my husbands steak was cooked properly, my shrimp however were rubbery. The food was ok enough that we came back a second night because it's super convenient to our hotel. Last night however made me never want to eat here again. The service was extremely slow. We ordered calamari for an appetizer which was nothing like we had the previous night. The first night there were tempura fried carrots and jalapeños , last night neither of those things were on the plate. My husband ordered an 8 ounce filet medium and it came out well done. I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken with lemon caper butter fettuccine and the pasta was cold and there were zero capers to be found. The other couple we were with , their food was just as overdone and cold. It took 2.5 hours for this meal and there wasn't one redeeming thing about it. I'm disappointed that we joined the rewards program as I don't think we will ever eat here again.
First time ever eating at this restaurant and it will likely be the last. The food was decent, but the staff of the restaurant was not. Had a reservation, but was still questioned if we were "supposed to be there" by the host when being seated. Then it took 25 minutes for a waiter to even see us and take a drink order. We were stuck right in the middle of a busy pass through and have never felt so ignored. For the price point, this restaurant should really have their stuff more together. The staff didn't act like they knew what they were doing and management was not able to be found which was kind of odd, because there seemed to be more employees than patrons. There was no excuses or apologies provided for their lack of service. Very disappointed in this experience. Could have gotten this level of service at Red Lobster. When a dinner for 2 runs more than $130.00, I expect more than subpar service.
Very confusing evening. Not enogh staff. Downtown very busy with festival. We had reservations but people were poring in from the street wanting to dine but had no reservations. We felt slighly ignored while they handled the crowd. Not a pleant fine dining experience and there was no valet parking that evening.
The restaurant was completely understaffed. Guests waited more than an hour for food. Servers did not display courtesies or provide updates. Even with confirmed reservations, guests waited 30-40 minutes. Open Table offered a 1000-point bonus to book tables but people who walked in were told the placed was completely booked. This was the worst experience ever!
This was the first time in a long time that we visited this establishment. We were going to go to Ruby's but a client had given us a gift card so we tried. The WORST service in a long time. Even told manager and he could care less. This was not the McCormick rest. it use to be. I think the chain would notice it's poor performance, manager and food. My daughter's 8 oz filet juice was dried on the plate by the time it got to us and cold fries. Would have saved our self the nearly two hours it took and the bad experience by going somewhere else.
