The food was outstanding as usual. The Chef's Special was great. Ricky, our server, was really great, efficient and personable.
The waiter, Peter, had several issues including not knowing the menu (requested no seafood and received ahi), surreptitiously removing a card for feee food that was unused forcing a demand to return the card, and dipping his tie into the food when serving it.
The food, minus portions his tie was dipped into, was excellent. The service was not.
Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
Food 😋 , music 🎶, service were the best. Looking forward to seeing you 😊 soon, dessert 🍨 was special.
Very nice place. Very good meat. Very kind for our anniversary. What else?
The food was simply amazing and the ambiance was fitting for the occasion. I’m sure to visit again soon!
The food was awesome in every regard. The sea bass was the second -to-none as was the crab cake appetizer. Our waiter was polite, attentive, engaging, but not overbearing. We had an exceptional dinner done to the drinks which were crafter the in the proper manner.
We went for seafood, after hearing it was a great place to eat down town. There was no one there on Sunday at 11:00 for brunch and they sat us in the bar area. The table was dirty and it looked cruddy under the placemat . Our server was good the food was average and super over priced. Four coconut shrimp for 12 or 16 dollars, and they were like warm and bland.
I ordered stuffed shrimp and it was also average. We both decided Red Lobster was a better deal, more good and tastier.
It seemed like it was kind of dirty and in need of deep cleaning and new recipes.
The two things I did like were the lobster bisque and oysters Rockefeller ( but again over priced)
I really sorry it was a disappointment, I wanted to be impressed.
My coworker remarked she had also been there for Irish coffee and found fruit flies in the mug.
Granted, it was a busy Saturday night. But the service was just terrible. For the first 35 minutes, we had nothing on our table but water. Had to get the manager involved just to get our bread delivered. Not good when you have a 7 year old at the table.
Great lunch. Burgers are definitely tasty.
Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow, however, the food and drinks were good.
Our waiter was outstanding!!! Great service and attitude!
We were really looking forward to this meal and then it took 15+ minutes for drinks to aarrive and over an hour for our food to arrive, bread was forgotten (although a to go bag was offered), requested items never brought to table or brought after my soup was actually almost cold. The cut of meat for my filet mignon was NOT something that should have cost over $30 as there was fat i couldn't even cut thru. We called and made a reservation so simply feel forgotten. The one positive was our hostess was delightful and cheery
I took my parents out to celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary as well as both their birthdays (all of which take within 4 days). We went for late lunch. The restaurant was not crowded so we were given our choice of seating and my mother picked a table sat facing Fountain Square. We had cocktails and finally ordered. The cocktails were made with fresh squeezed juices. The Long Island Iced Tea was one of the best I've had in a long time. The Raspberry Mule was very good and made my mother remember drinking Mules as a young woman. My father who usually drink his bourbon on the rocks, really enjoyed his Old Fashioned. I suggested the lobster bisque which I knew from previous visits was very good. When my parents decided to order it, I knew they'd be happy with it. Two of us ordered the stuffed shrimp and my father ordered the fried shrimp. The vegetable accompaniments were cooked a little al dente which showcased the flavor. I grew up on the East Coast where good seafood is easily found. This ranked up there with good seafood of my childhood. For dessert we had the cream brulee with lots of berries on top and a little molten chocolate cake. With candles placed on both it really made my parents feel special. I really appreciated all the attention my parents received.
We had a party of 10. Our server Amara was very pleasant but seemed to be fairly new to your organization. She didn’t know drinks and was a little combative when it came to requests to correct things with our order. The manager on duty was RUDE! When we expressed our concerns and wasn’t apologetic at all. Instead he failed to give us his name and offered the general managers card instead. Poor service overall...we will not be back.
Excellent Swordfish!! with roasted Vegetables and Potatoes. The bread is also outstanding. Recommended sauvignon blanc wine was excellent also.
I absolutely love the small plate, blackened cobia with street corn and black bean puree. It is my all time favorite dish at M&S. Service was wonderful.
I would recommend if you needed a place downtown. Parking is a challenge. Food was good. Certainly no bargain however.
Great place for birthday get together or dinner with friends. Wide variety menu perfect for a group!!
They really went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. The best wishes on the menu was so unique and a great touch. The food was excellent and the service was phenomenal. Also the creme brûlée was the best I’ve ever had.
Excellent steak and seafood place! I add the ribeye, and my husband had fish (forget what kind, sorry!) Everything was excellent. My husband was a little disappointed about the portion size of the fish but my 13 oz. ribeye was more than enough to share so it worked out well. Everything was cooked to perfection and our waiter was very friendly and attentive.
The only restautant in Cincinnati with Cobia on the menu and a bar that stocks Tanqueray 10—my preference.
I had the lunch special for July. Crab cake sandwich with clam chowder and fries. It was soooooooo good
Very courteous staff, had the Monday night twin lobster special, which was very disappointing. Small lobster tails that had no flavor. Crab cake appetizer & lobster Braque were very tasty.
Food, hostess, and server were phenomenal. Big drawback was all of the staff hanging out in the dining room talking and making noise the whole time. One server knocked a chair on the ground to mess with another server. Typically this doesn't bother me but I expect a better environment for a meal that is over $100 for 2 people. It was distracting for my wife and I who were trying to have a romantic dinner. Our server did go above and beyond and really helped with keeping this rating from 3 stars.
Fantastic service and the Chef made sure we were accommodated‼️
Excellent professional staff.
Will be back. I recommend all to experience M&S.
I come every year that I am attending the CMF. It's always around my birthday and the staff is so nice.
Was very good food! And worked great for us this weekend.
Food was cold & not as tasty as usual. Was super busy due to festival going on. Seemed understaffed. Drinks were awesome though. Will try it again another time when less busy.
Had a great dinner. Terrell, our server was amazing! He was very knowledgeable of the menu and the pairing of wine and food. Food was amazing. I would visit this restaurant again.
Food was cold and overpriced for the quantity we were served. Will not return to this location.
The salmon was overcooked and thus quite rubbery: salmon jerky..this isnt Alaska). The fish portions were too small for the price we paid. You get a better cut and larger portion at Outback. The lobster tail was also small.
On a positive note , the steak was an appropriate sized cut for the price and delicious. Our waiter, Christian, was outstanding: courteous, knowledgeable and made a divine presentation of one of your signature drinks at our table.
I have eaten at the Washington D.C location and value for what is received is much higher both is price , portion sizes and quality.
We had a very disappointing dinner at this restaurant in Cincinnati. We started with the crab legs, which were inedible. They had a fishy taste which made us think we might get sick. Lobster salad with the same seafood quality of the crab. Sea bass which may have been microwaved, and tasted like the crab and lobster. The lettuce for the salad was mushy.
The wine was nice and the service was good. At the end of the meal the server gave us a sales pitch for Landry’s restaurant club. That was off putting and awkward.
I wish we would have gone anywhere else in Cincinnati for dinner.
The restaurant was not busy and the service was very slow. The waiter was a nice young man, but lacking in fine dining training. On arrival I had to repeat my name three times and they obviously were not paying attention. They gave a person seating patrons menus but we were not invited to follow this person and I had to ask twice if he was the person to seat us. I have eaten in their other locations and this one is considerably less qualified to be classified as fine dining.
We had not eaten at McCormick’s since right after they opened a number of years ago.
We will return much sooner for sure.
It was a rather quiet evening there so we were greeted by the evening manager and made to feel welcome immediately.
Amarra, our server, welcomed us as well and her friendly demeanor was immediately impressive.
We enjoyed cocktails and dinner with excellent service. The fish was served by kitchen runners and was hot and appetizing. Even though seafood is the specialty there, I noticed a lot of steaks were served that night as well. Our server stopped back several times offering drink refills but gave us privacy to enjoy a delicious meal. She even wished us a happy anniversary as we had indicated when making our reservation.
It was an enjoyable evening for sure.
My family and I had a great experience! The service was amazing! Mindy and Byron made our evening wonderful! The food was delicious! Thank you so much!
Wedge salad very good
Added 4oz salmon; dry
Service was fine
Ate in bar area
Lunch time; not too busy
Server very nice and attentive
We got to the restaurant a little early to enjoy "Happy hour" in the bar, drinks and apps were fantastic and great prices. Our waiter, Cameron was so friendly and efficient, we can't wait to go back!
The service was outstanding. The food was very good but a little on the pricey side. Quantity was good as well.
Good place to dine in Cincinnati after a Reds game.
Had a great dinner. Food is consistently good. Desmond our server was attentive and helpful. Our booth along 5th street provided an abundance of entertainment via people watching.
