Food was not good. My fish was dry and cold .. Service was TERRIBLE!
Seated right away. Server was friendly and appropriately attentive. Appetizers were great, as were soups/salads. Dinner was mixed, mostly due to temperature of food. Some dishes were scalding hot, others were just warm. One dish was actually cold and we had to send back to the kitchen. One meal was terrible, but my son ate it before saving me the last bite to show me how awful it was. I would have sent it back if he hadn’t eaten it. The rest of the meals ranged from ok to great.
We were here for a birthday, and it is the birthday girls favorite restaurant. Luckily her entree was one of the great ones. But we plan to return next time just for starters and soups/salads.
First and last time at this restaurant. Service was horrible.
The quality of the food has gone down quite a bit from the last time I dined at this location. Have no plans to come back anytime soon. The waitress did a great job.
There were nine of us. Mike was our waiter and was fabulous. Three of my guys told me it was the best steak they had ever had!
Our dinners were very good. Scallops and stuffed shrimp. Service was attentive and good. Nice and quiet. We had a window seat so we could watch street activity.
Excellent service and the food was absolutely EXCELLENT.
Food was great and the location is very convenient to Fountain Square. Very friendly and helpful staff!
This was a busy Friday evening downtown. We had reservations, seated immediately, the order was taken and we began our evening. The service was good, busy Friday evening, the food was excellent and the associates were friendly and helpful.
Great food and serve. Just real noisy
We were greeted cordially, seated in a roomy banquette and served food prepared to perfection! Who could ask for more?
Awesome atmosphere. Perfect for out of town guests.
Excellent turkey dinner for Thanksgiving!
It was just ok
Ordered the medallions and they were tough :(
Incredibly disappointing --- I used to love this restaurant, but I can't recall a worse restaurant meal in several years.
I don't know if they were just having a bad night in the kitchen, or if they have gone WAY downhill in the past year, but the food preparation last night was horrible. There were only two of us -- one ordered soup and the other a salad, and we specifically asked to have them served at the same time. They were not -- the salad didn't come until my friend had finished his soup -- server apologized about it. Our entrees and side vegetables took probably 30 min. after that -- the server stopped by twice to apologize for the wait. We both had entrees incorporating shrimp, and they were dry -- overcooked -- and lukewarm. Mine included some sort of mashed potatoes, which were probably 2/3 of the entree, and were COLD. I couldn't eat that much anyway, so, I took them home --- even though really nothing was satisfactory, we had already been there over an hour, and sending them back would have meant starting entirely over with the entrees. $8 grilled asparagus was 8 spears -- rather expensive. The high point was sauteed mushrooms -- those also didn't come out with the rest of our food, but, at least they were hot and seemed to be prepared right before serving.
I'm very disappointed -- I've had better food preparation at places such as O'Charley's. I won't be going back. After the fact I wish we had complained to management -- for almost $100 we got two barely edible meals with things served at the wrong times.
Good tasting food, great people, slow service, needs an interior refresh.. good location.. fine, not fancy..
The service wasn't the best, but the food was excellent! We don't believe it was the server's fault, but poor restaurant management. We were seated promptly upon arrival with a reservation for which we were running late, but literally sat at our table for 10-15 minutes with no one acknowledging our presence. We finally said something to a server passing by and a few minutes later, someone explained that they had "double seated" our server. In my experience, you have all hands on deck in that situation and make sure that someone stops by with at least water and bread while you wait for your server. Once our server arrived, everything was great! Excellent food - we'll be back despite the hiccup at the beginning of our visit, but still can't give 5 stars.
We were celebrating our 2 year anniversary and everything was quite perfect! The atmosphere, food & service was excellent. We will be back
They made my 22nd birthday perfect ❤️
McCormick and Schmick's is a local favorite. Great after the theater. Great food, great service.
They made the evening memorable, as they made special menus for our table as we were celebrating two birthdays.
I decided to go to McCormick & Schmick's for my birthday meal. A few years ago I had Alaskan King Crab and enjoyed it very much. I was surprised to see a 'fish' place of this status not having it on the menu.
The food was beyond disappointing, I was shock at the quality. I had the stuffed shrimp and there was absolutely no flavor. This was one of the first times I have ever had mashed potatoes from a restaurant without any seasoning. For the amount of money I was willing to spend I expected an exceptional meal. It was my first night and Cincinnati and this dinner was a horrible start to my trip. Not worth it.
Food was very good, and a good value. Service was truely excellent.
The restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious.
The restaurant advertised closing at 11 PM. We got there at 10:20 and the doors were locked.
great service, the food was outstanding. The restaurant was very clean. staff very friendly.
Very beautiful wood-paneled fancy restaurant located across street from Fountain Square in Cincinnati. Excellent food and service. Highly recommend for fine dining.
Although the meal was excellent and the decor very good, the serving was very small and pricey.
Free entre for veterans!
server took forever and could not answer our questions. fish was like warm. was not impressed
Our meal started very poorly, but LeJason saves our dinner. We came with our 12 yo daughter before taking her to a musical. A couple minutes after we were seated at a wonderful private table, we asked the hostess that sat us for a kids menu- she reaponded with "well she looks 16." She is not and wanted somethingnshe has had before off the kids menu (we are Landrys Reward members). We then sat for 15 minutes. No water, no greeting. We finally flagged LeJason down and he immediately took our order. He was great and took great care of us. He made the meal pleasant for us in the end.
As we were preparing to pay, we overhears the table next to us flag him down because they had been sitting for 10 mimutes without a greeting. To note, neither of us were his tables originally.
We are debating whether it woupd be worth it to return to this location, especially before a show where we have a specific time we need to be finishwd by.
I’m retired military, so brought my daughter with me. She was given the same menu as myself and no prices were on the menu. Imagine my shock at the cost of her meal. Wasn’t happy with no explanation given.
Veterans Day. Nice choices, some of food not to hot temperature wise. Nice ambiance. Staff nice.
The Cedar Plank Salmon was cold and not cooked all the way. It didn't come with any rice or potatoes just a small amount of vegetables. My cheeseburger was a hot but the fries were cold and there wasn't any pickles. Wasn't very good due to food temperature.
A special treat on Veterans Day!!!! Thank you for the entrees! As Vietnam Vets, we cant begin to express how much this means to us! Wonderful salmon, and fish & chips.... great wine selection (the bottle of Storypointe was jammy with spice & a perfect finish), and we finished with the Chocolate Bag - oh my!!! Totally over the top service, and perfectly timed.
To be honest my wife and I were a little surprised and a little disappointed with our lunch at M&S.
They host a very nice Veterans Day menu on the Sunday before the observed holiday and we've partaken more than once.
On this occasion the service was somewhat lacking. The lag between each step in the experience was long - being seated and being visited by our waitress, placing a drink order and actually getting the drinks, being able to place our order, etc.
Our food seemed like it might have been good... but it was just barely warm by the time it got to us, and as a result things were not as nice as we had had there previously. As an example: My fettuccine was rubbery and the sauce had turned pasty.
The waitress offered to have it recooked, but we had waited a very long time to get it, and we chose to eat rather than sit and wait for who knows how long.
We make it a point when we are there for Veterans Day to spend a little of our own money and tip according to what we would have paid; the wait staff shouldn't take the hit for our free entree. My guess is this waitress had been cheated out of sufficient tips by veterans in the past and lumped us into that bucket.
Veterans Day meal
This was so disappointing. Our steak medallions arrived cold. My Wife's dish was extremely boring as well. I have had much better food at Applebees.
