McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Charlotte (Tryon Street)
Lump Crab Stuffed Shrimp, Red Pepper White Cheddar Mash
Maine Lobster Bisque
The best part of the evening was our waiter, Eddie. The menu was very limited, but I understand the situation. Overall , we enjoyed the evening.
It was a quiet evening but perfect before going to the concert at BELK...
Great food ! A bit pricey though. Good drnks, deserts, and service.
We enjoyed the good and our waiter was very nice. All over nice experience definitely will return.
Service excellent, some of the best Bourbon Salmon I have had.
Amazing, food was great, waiter was fantastic, able to get in as soon as we got there.
We typically eat here before shows at the Blumenthal. The service is always great and the food wonderful. I had the blackened chicken pasta and was pleased with the selection. The clam chowder was great, as usual.
The food was excellent however the service was a bit slow for a 5:45 reservation and very few people in the restaurant.
Everything was good!
Excellent food , service and atmosphere...this is a special place ...enjoy a sumptuous meal and watch people scurry by the sidewalk outside.
My friends and I stopped in after a long day of celebrating. I was able to make last minute reservations through Open Table which was really nice. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were seated quickly and greeted with smiling faces. The waiter was very polite and proficient. The food was amazing! Several of us ordered the Mixed Grill entree which included salmon, stuffed shrimp, grilled shrimp AND a crab cake!! Tons of food for the price. We really enjoyed our visit and will be certain to return given the opportunity.
We come here before seeing something at the Belk Theater. The service was very fast and the food fantastic, as usual. One of us had the bourbon glazed salmon and I had the Chesapeake Shrimp. Hot and tasty. The Clam Chowder was a bit thinner than usual but the taste was still there. And the Caesar is a nice complement.
Definitely not the high end service I was expecting. Waiters were running thin and all over the place. Even the hostess was waiting tables. Just seemed like a mom and pop operation. Orders were not filled right. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone
Excellent food and service, as always. Only complaint was that the tuna had a very spicy coating, which wasn't listed on the menu. However, they took care of it right away. Great overall experience!
We celebrated our Anniversary at McCormick and Schmick's Uptown and had a wonderful time. The staff were very attentive and congenial; a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Dinner was over $500 and we went there to celebrate and our server was horrible. She never checked on us. It took over TWENTY minutes to get drinks when there was 5 tables full in the restaurant on a Monday night. She forgot half our table’s drinks. Our server didn’t know basic drink orders. She didn’t clear our plates so we had dirty dishes in the middle of our meal.
It was the worst dining experience we’ve had in Charlotte since we moved here. It was an embarrassing dining experience for you. Because we are local business owners, we will be hesitant to ever return. It was a terrible experience-and not one that I expected from a chain I’ve been to in several states.
Birthday celebration - arrived early with reservations. Was loud initially by employees but all quieted down once dinner hour really hit/guest began to arrive. Waitress was awesome. My stuffed salmon was very good, husbands ultimate seafood not as much ... asparagus was cold but waitress replaced immediately. We would return despite the hiccups..
The food was delicious and will go back wish they had more side items but overall service was great
My time at this establishment was definitely a waste. I had to deal with several customer service failures that led to me ultimately consuming the food out of desperation of being hungry. Food was sent back 3 times; I cannot say that I will come back after the numerous amounts of epic fails to recover by my server and the manager.
Excellent all around!!
Excellentdinner and excellent service.
Well, the food was delicious, but they have forgotten about the details! My cocktail was served at room temp. Champagne cocktails should be cold! The restrooms really are showing age and need a deep cleaning. Service was slow on a Sunday evening. Restaurant was not full. Not the place it used to be...
Everything was wonderful! We had a great time and the food was great.
The food was average. The service was poor. The price was very high. I will not go back personally.
The waiter was not very attentive rushed my party and did not if we wanted anything to drink besides water very disappointed
We waited a hour for our food just for it to be cold. Was not worth it at all! We witnessed 2 other people orders go back as well because their food was cold. It was our 4 year anniversary and it did not feel like it at this restaurant at all. It was horrible!
The food was excellent. No one has any complaints. Our waiter was very nice and made sure he checked on us. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was everything!!
I was there Valen's Day evening. The front desk staff (3) could not have been nicer or more accommodating. En route, I called and they moved my reservation for to a half hour later and on another call, pleasantly gave me directions. The waiter, David I think, was very personable and attentive. We sat there three hours and never rushed us. Lastly, the menu, was good but with some dishes sounding too "busy". Maybe that is just me. What my date and I did order were both very good. Thank you. Tom B.
I really enjoyed my Valentine’s Day dinner here! Although it was extremely busy, our server was very attentive and we got our food in a timely manner. The food was delicious as always and the wine was even better! The only concern was: we arrived for our reservation 30 mins early (did not expect to be seated right then) just notified the host that we were there. She told us we could wait at the bar until she sat the two parties infront of us, then she’d send us a text to come back up to the front. 30 minutes comes and goes and we receive no text. We were only seated once I went back up to the host stand and asked what was taking so long. Other than that, great night!
Wife’s favorite restaurant and she really enjoys the crab legs, as usual.
Great food and excellent service. Enjoyed earning points for my Landry rewards account.
Overall good experience
The food was very good which is what I have experience at other McCormick restaurants across the country. Service was very good and I was readily provided seating upon my arrival.
The food at McCormick however, we did have to ask twice for water and the mushroom risotto to accompany my dinner was noticeable by its absence.
Good waiter Bryan, was prompt, knowledgeable about the offerings and checked in regularly.
I normally do not feel compelled to write reviews but after this experience at M&S, I felt it was necessary. We eat out frequently and this was by far the worst dining experience we have had in years. It started off with us waiting for at least 1/2 hour to get water that we had asked for 3 times. We ordered some appetizers one of which was the fries. As soon as they were served we asked for some ketchup, asked again, and asked again. We never got the ketchup. On the menu there is a simply grilled fish. I asked our server what the fish was. He said any fish on the menu. So I ordered the sea bass simply grilled and he brought out the sea bass on the menu with udon noodles and broth. All our food was cold and the mashed potatoes were so old they were like glue. Not only was the food disappointing the service was terrible. It was so bad we almost felt like leaving no tip and I cannot remember the last time we felt this way. The table was dirty and the menus were filthy with dried food on them. My recommendation is that if you are dining in downtown Charlotte there are many other options that are so much better. We now know why it was so easy to get a reservation on Open Table because it is horrible restaurant and definitely is giving the M&S franchise a poor reputation.
SUPER friendly people, and everybody trying hard, but apparently, the kitchen was badly backed up.
The food had a lot of potential, but fell short of the mark.
For all that, the prices are pretty high.
We had high hopes, and were disappointed.
I think with some better management, this could be a premier spot. But I am not sure what could induce us to go back. Last time we were at an M&S, we had a similar experience, and it took us 10 years to go try again.
There is a great variety of seafood dishes which is one of my favorites. Very pretty restaurant. Loud but energetic. Food was good and nice presentation. We arrived within 5 minutes of our reservation time. We had called to say we maybe a couple of minutes late. It was 20 to 30 minutes before we were seated. They kept telling us they were clearing our table. When we were seated I looked around and there must have been 10 or more empty tables. So not sure what had happened. Waiter was very nice but I thought he was very rushed. I will definitely go again because I love seafood.
Food was good, but not great. Service was somewhat inattentive, but since there was a raging storm outside, maybe there were extenuating circumstances. Ambiance was good - it was a good place to have a lunch meeting.
