McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Charlotte (Tryon Street)
Book your next event with us
Excellent food from soup, salad, appetizers and seafood main courses. Waitress was very friendly
but about average on keeping things on the right pace. Nice place for a night out with your spouse.
Staff GREAT. Food and drinks GREAT!
Overall experience was great. Food was really good except the shrimp on the combo platter were burnt. Very loud table next to us but it was ok. They were in town for the Panthers game. Would definitely go back!!!
Staff was friendly. Some of food was served cold. I don’t mind dropping $60 on a good steak but In my opinion the quality/quantity of food was not worth the prices.
I usually really like there, however this time it was just ok Salmon was good , veggies barely cooked some of the green beans had not even changed shades of green , scampi pretty flavorless. It was not bad but nothing memorable. I usually always find it excellent in other cities where i have visited .
Date night. Food was great, service was super slow and out of it. Took awhile to get water...
Excellent food and service....waiter hustled but never was rattled.
Our dinner was amazing. Even though short staffed use to unexpectedly larger crowds coming in, staff were moving and helping each other! The food and drinks were delicious and the service was great!
We had a great time. Good food.
I would recommend, but would caution the place was full at 7 pm. We waited 20 minutes for water. Drinks arrived with hor derves. Food quickly (too soon) came after that. Waiter seemed distractedly busy.
Waiter never told us his name, and rushed away our steaks, to present desert. We didn’t get a chance to ask for a to go bag, and yet had a 1/3 left over cut of beef.
Was our sons 32nd birthday, which waiter never acknowledged. Food was good.
Eaten there a number of times and never been disappointed. How come I didn't get any points for eating there?
The experience, service and food were all great!
We were looking forward to a a great experience with this location being in Uptown Charlotte. Great wine and cocktail selection. The service was not great, our waitress did not have a great personality and took a while to get back to our table. We noticed two other of her tables got up from what we assume because her service was not great. There were other servers that seemed to give better service. For the price of food, it was not worth it. They have a great menu and I was really excited about the filet and lobster tails. The steak cut was terrible for the price you pay.
My mother wanted seafood for her birthday dinner and as it was her 60th we wanted to do something a bit fancy. Unfortunately, with a 7:15 reservation time, it took a 20min wait for bread, 30 for our very bitter Arnold Palmers and about 50mins for our shrimp and salmon dishes. The sides weren't very hot for the amount time we had to wait and at 8:00 at night it was not crowded with over half the diners gone. It also amazes me that restaurants give small-medium portions on such big plates. It always makes me question why I'm paying so much for such little food.
We had a great time for our first visit to M especially for the oysters at happy hour! Thanks for creating a memorable experience for us!
DJ was fantastic waiter and food was very good!
I had sesame crusted salmon with wasabi mash. Very tasty. The service was just ok.
The only complaint my family and I have is there was an event uptown and Valet at McCormick & Schmick's would not park cars, instead they instructed us to go to the Valet parking deck and park the car ourselves, then walk to the restaurant. I thought this was very unprofessional and would hope in the future when there are events uptown the Valet team will be more prepared.
I have over 185 open table reservations completed so I have been around the block. I am not a complainer but I felt compelled to write my review of my experience. Restuarant was not busy but it took a while for our waitress to see us. My order was incorrect and our side orders did not come with our meal. To top it off they were very slow to bring my bill and just as slow to bring my change. All in all a terrible experience. I hope they were just having a bad day because I have always had good experiences at McCormick and Schmicks.
Great food and atmosphere for business lunch. Too bad it cost $ 24 to park and with all the construction it was hard to find a parking place. Uber! will be my suggestion next time.
Great location. Friendly staff. Awesome variety. Drinks are well made.
Great food and service! Al and a favorite!
Food was excellent, as usual. Service this time was a little slow. Still, a great restaurant for good seafood.
Always a good choice and conveniently located. Being a Landry's member is well worth it as well since you get rewards points towards $$$$. The lobster/shrimp roll was tasty but not stuffed with as much lobster as I would have liked.
Although the staff was friendly, attentive and the wine suggestion was good, the noise level was way too high (overhead music) to "chat" or relax.
The Oysters Rockefeller were absolutely wonderful but "oysters on the half shell" were VERY small and disgraceful! The ahi tuna was over "crusted" and the swordfish was very dry.
There are too many wonderful restaurants to eat at Uptown. We will not be back.
Perfect date night before the theater. Service was excellent and food delicious. I recommend the lobster bisque.
My wife is going to have a bone marrow biopsy this Thursday. Today was a day to relax and breathe before having the test.
Colton, our server made My wife and I feel special. My wife was able to relax and take her mind off the test.
We are so appreciative of the memorable experience provided be the staff and host!
Our experience was quite average. We had a nice waiter, the wine was reasonably priced. The food was adequate. I had sea bass pan seared and found it a bit on the over-seasoned side. The roasted root vegetables consisted of three tiny carrots, a half of a fingerling potato and a half of a turnip (sad and overcooked at that). The jumbo shrimp cocktail was a nice portion but the shrimp were rather bland and tough. LOVED the ahi tuna appetizer - that was excellent. Partner had that blackened wahoo and also really enjoyed it. Ultimately, we probably won't be back as the $150 we spent on the meal didn't really feel like a good purchase.
Always good and convenient to most of downtown Charlotte
We had an enjoyable time for dinner.
Soup and steak was so nice, moreover a selected red wine was perfect.
Service was well-organized and the atomsphere of the restaurant was cozy and cool.
Food was excellent and service was excellent as well. Our server, Tara, knew we were going to s play and expedited our experience perfectly. Jenna, the manager, was personable and friendly, and even helped me navigate as a member of the Landry Club. Wonderful experience.
My husband & I had a lovely early dinner here on a Monday evening before an event uptown. We have not been to McCormick and Schmick’s in years and were pleasantly surprised on how wonderful it was. From the time we walked in the door, Eddie the host was friendly and welcoming. Levi, our server was outstanding. He explained everything to our satisfaction and gave us the perfect balance of attention and privacy. Our meal was delicious. We will be back!
Crab legs were small and overly salty
DJ and Eddie made our experience wonderful. Will definitely return again.
Great food and exceptional service!
Terrible service and too expensive for this type of chain restaurant
My fiancé and I have been here several times, this by far was our best experience! The food was EXCEPTIONAL!!! From the presentation to the taste and temperature...it was ALL superb! My salmon was moist and flavorful and asparagus cooked to just the desired crispness that I love! From the hostess to our server Nick the hospitality was impeccable! Whatever you’re doing at McCormick and Schmick’s continue doing it! We will be returning very soon. You are now my favorite seafood restaurant. WELL DONE!!!
Queens Feast limited menu but everything cooked & presented beautifully. Appys could have been larger
We sat at our table for 15 minutes and no one ever came to greet us or get or drink order. Needless to say we decided to leave and go to Ruth Chris
