Advertised a specific year of a bottle of wine then brought us a less than stellar year and tried to pass it over on us. We sent the bottle back and they tried to replace it with bottle that were double the price. Wine has a 300% mark up. They charged us for both bottles until we brought it to their attention. Filet was over cooked and had to be sent back. Service was slow. Food was mediocre. Will not return. Very overpriced for the quality.
Slow service, drink arrived after meal as provided, calamari over cooked, mahi mahi over cooked and hard, plate presentation was bad, messy, bread was good, spinach not cooked properly, seemed kitchen grossly overwhelmed or cook not paying attention.
Over worked and understaffed.Maybe those are the new words instead of living wage or 15 dollars an hour. Service was really good and food was fine. Charlotte is just a third tier city.
We made reservations as we knew this would be a busy night due to a concert. After being seated, we waited over 45 minutes to get our drinks. Our wine glass was hot, drinks was mediocre. We complained to the manager who said she'd comp our drinks - they weren't. We had to ask twice to get a basket of bread. It was finally delivered after an hour. Food was fine, but nothing fabulous. They were busy - but this is a chain restaurant in a busy part of town. They should be prepared for volume. Will not be coming back.
Restaurant was overwhelmed with too much business. Everything was too slow, even drinks. Some of the meals had sat for a long time before being served. Disappointing for the expensive price.
Horrible experience here. We chose this restaurant due to the proximity to our hotel and the Spectrum Center, as we were going to a show that night. Our reservation was at 6:00 and the show was to start at 7:30. We arrived at 6:00 and stood in line until almost 6:20. When we were finally seated, it took about 5 minutes or longer before the waitress came to our table. When she arrived, we were ready to place our entire order. We knew this was necessary since we had now wasted 30 minutes just to get seated and place our order. We ordered our drinks from the bar, an appetizer, and our entrees. When our drinks arrived about 10 minutes later, she dropped them and took off again. My husband's drink was not at all what he had ordered so after waiting a few minutes and our waitress not returning, he took it to the bar himself. He was told there that they had too many other customers ahead of him and he would have to wait. I then went to the host stand and demanded a manager as we hadn't seen our waitress in about 15 minutes. The manager came over and got his drink and went and fixed it. We complained about the wait at that time and she assured us she would check on our food and get it out to us asap. She delivered our food about 10 minutes later and we asked for her to go ahead and bring us the check since we only had about 15 minutes to eat and make the show. My food (the cobia) was cold and tough and I took maybe 2 bites. No one asked how our food was, if there was a problem, or if there was something they could do to fix it. I will note that our waters were only refilled twice and their glasses are rather small. We spent 170.00 for a horrible experience and we were late to our show by about 15 minutes. I will be requesting a refund.
Group of six for a business team dinner. Everyone loved their meal. Great server, but the bar service was a bit slow. I will attribute that to the full bar of folks going to the Justin Timberlake concert though. Great food, great prices.
Each course had errors, and one of our entrees was totally incorrect. By the time the correct one arrived, the rest of the table had finished. The only shared side dish also arrived extremely late with the redone entree. The bill included the incorrect entree, and when pointed out to server the explanation was that the kitchen needed that for inventory tracking. We will not be dining there again.
Stopped in for lunch for 4 of us. A little on the pricey side (bill was $80 - no alcohol and 2 of our party split an entree). Service was excellent (Ethan?) Sesame encrusted tuna was outstanding once we got a side dish of wasabi set up. When asked, the produced an entire gluten friendly menu which greatly impressed a member of our party who is gluten intolerant.
Fabulous food, service and atmosphere!
Food was extremely bland; Crabcake was actually good but came out cold; Risotto came out cold, as well. Service was mediocre; Drinks from the bar were mediocre. Portion sizes were not worth the cost.
We recently dine at this restaurant for New Year Eve. They had a pre selection menu, which was a bummer, because i was looking forward to trying something else on the original menu. The entrees and sides we ordered was HORRIBLE. Nothing tastes fresh. Fish was over cooked, shrimp was tough. The truffles Mac and cheese was runny. All the food tasted like it came out the can. After receiving my dish i notice it has root vegetables along with the fish. That was not highlighted on the menu. After expressing to the waiter that i was allergic to beets, he did not offer to take it off the bill. So i paid for food that I could not eat. I will NEVER dine at this restaurant again. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Horrible experience
Requested a booth upon entry. Was told you have to request a booth with reservation. However, two booths were vacant during the entire duration of our meal. Manager comp'd appetizer and side dish after complaining about bland steak and fully shredded crab cake rather than lump crab cake as menu described. Service was average. Waited approximately 10 minutes for waitress to bring initial waters. Waitress did not offer us to taste the wine before pouring. We were the only couple to be seated at a 2 person table when restaurant was only half full.
I am a long time fan M&S. I moved to Charlotte from the Washington DC area where there are many of the M&S restaurants. Alsways a great place to go for excellent food at reasonable prices. Have never been disappointed in the quality of the menu options or the service.
You can’t use your Landry’s rewards card on your drinks
THATS NOT GOOD
I go to Morton and you spend money you use your rewards on everything
Not happy I will not return because of that
And you should give me back my rewards because of that !!!!!!
We made reservations for my birthday. All of my party arrives and we place our order it took our food about 35-40 min to come out. The restaurant was not busy and the party that came about 15 min after us got their food before us! The $40 custom made cupcakes were given to the wrong table, then they lied about and finally admitted to giving my cupcakes away! Finally the valet gives my brother in law the wrong car same color and model just different state tags and had to wait a while for him to find my car! I was disappointed to say the least and my birthday was a complete bust thanks! The way the manager handled it was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend going here for soso food and bad service
Good food and good service. Would return on our next trip to Charlotte.
We arrived for date night. I ordered sea scallops and my husband ordered mahi-mahi. Both dishes were melt in your mouth delicious. The manager Eddie check in us several times and added to the experience. We also ordered shrimp kisses as an appetizer. So yummy.
My oldest treated me to great birthday dinner and conversation
We arrived early and it was packed Christmas evening
All was handled seemlessly and the experience was great
Food was good. Way too slow and lacking bus service to facilitate waitstaff.
Waitress was average at best. Steak was undercooked. It was sent back and they sent the same steak back and it was over cooked. Ate anyway to later find a hair on the plate. Thought it was a crack. 😔
Unfortunately, I would not be able to recommend. Our experience was less than favorable. We we very excited to bring out family visiting from Indianapolis (eating out for the 1st time and now only time for Christmas dinner).
I am writing this (since you asked) in the hope that there will be a response. We did reach out to the area manager, Michael Sidorovich not only in person 12.28.2018 (was too busy to speak with me) and also by email on 12.28.2018. To date I have not gotten a response of any kind with the exception of this and multiple emails to sell your products.
I've been in the service industry for over 4 decades. Not to say I know it all, however I DO know I have a good handle on what poor, fair, good, and exceptional customer service/customer experience is.
As I mentioned in my email to Michael, my hope is that my story will be important enough to take the time to listen.
This is the first time we've ever gone out for Christmas dinner. We chose this place because we had a great experience last year for our anniversary and expected the same. We started off with cocktails while waiting for our table. My drink was poorly made but I didn't complain. At dinner we ordered appetizers (calamari and shrimp cocktail) then salads ( caesar and wedge), both came out fast and was delicious. Main course I ordered the crab cakes, my husband the New York strip, my daughter the filet mignon. It took a long time to get our meals. The waiter kept apologizing saying the kitchen was backed up. We asked for more bread to hold us over. When the food finally arrived it wasn't hot and the steaks weren't cooked to order. We ate the meal anyway as it was getting close to taking our daughter to the airport. We mentioned it to the waiter and he apologized. Normally I would say I wouldn't go back but we have gotten a good meal as mentioned earlier but at a different location. Hopefully our next special occasion will be better!
It was Christmas Day and I am thankful a restaurant was open. It was very busy and a little too loud and lively for my taste. The shrimp cocktail was overcooked, a bit chewy, and the lobster bisque was so-so. The main course, once it came (long wait) was outstanding. Crab stuffed Shrimp! The 3 of ate for $150. No wine or alcohol. I wont be back but if you go, definately try the Crab stuffed Shrimp.
Steak was under cooked, lettuce was brown. Definitely not worth the money.
Christmas dinner here was good. They were very busy. Con - our reservation was for 3:15pm, when we walked in at 3pm to check in the hostess said 'it's not 3:15pm yet'. So that was weird. And then we didn't get seated until about 3:40pm.
Pro - Food was good to great. Waiter was great. Our seating was great - corner area with curtain. We felt very lucky to get this spot, made our meal even more special.
Con - nothing for a younger one on the Christmas menu - but they were nice enough to make our daughter a burger and fries.
Con - the music was blasting over the speakers right over our heads. Had to speak very loudly to each other. It was cold in this area next to the windows. Glad we had our jackets.
Con - Vallet forgot his 'pass' in our car and ran about 5 blocks to catch up with us a light. Poor guy! Thought he was going to have a heart attack. ;)
Overall fun experience.
Where do I begin? The music was completely wrong for Christmas Dinner. It gave me indigestion. Waiter was overwhelmed. Could not have a conversation with your spouse because it was so loud. Will never step foot in this place again!
The staff seemed very overwhelmed and unorganized. My guess is that they overbooked or were not prepared for the crowd. Though our waiter was very kind, he seemed extremely overwhelmed. We were looking for more of a relaxed Christmas Eve dinner vibe like we have had at other places (not overbooked, chaotic, loud). Unfortunately, we will not be back.
Excellent food and impeccable service! Impressive desserts as well!
Blender was broken so some drinks were not available. Overall experience seems dated, limited dinner selection, overpriced and under valued. Better experience, service, selection and value at Bone Fish Grill.
Stoped by for lunch on Christmas Eve,great service ,great food...
Oysters Rockefeller arrived at table Cold. Music super loud and not apropos. Definitely will not return to this restaurant. Waiter did a great job other than bringing cold Rockefeller to the table.
Very overpriced for just average food. Olive Garden would have been better. The music was loud and obnoxious, it was a better fit for a place like Applebees or Chillis. I will not go back.
We were hoping for a better experience based on our previous visits to the nyc location. It started out fine. But the service wasn’t great. Our server, however polite, missed a few things. I asked for my wedge salad to have the dressing on the side. It didn’t. It too over 10 minutes to bring a new one. I called the manager over and he took it off the bill. Nice. I ordered a side of vegetables that were not delivered with the meal. By the time I got them I was as finished. The waiter admitted he forgot to add them. This was odd because he recommended them. My salmon was ok- but very soft and not as tasty as I have had. Would I go back. Maybe. Next time I need a pre event place to eat, I’ll try someplace else.
Music was not appropriate, there were protectors outside, steak was undercooked & food was warm. Overpriced for the value. Will never go back.
Holiday dinner with family
Very disappointed in the food. Not worth the money
I had an excellent dinner at McCormick & Schmick's Seafood in Uptown Charlotte, NC. I ordered the filet mignon and it was prepared exactly as I had ordered. Everything about my meal was first-rate including the service provided by Dylan.
I can recommend this fine restaurant without hesitation!
One of our favs. Moderate pricing great service and fresh fish Great steaks and pasta as well. Ask for a snug. They are spacious booths where they pull the curtains. Very cozy and quiet. Great for two up to a tight 6.
I took my boyfriend to dinner for his Birthday. I really appreciate how the staff paid attention to all of my reservation notes and even gave us menus with a birthday message and made our table VIP! He really got a kick out of that.
Thanks for helping us celebrate!
