The service, food and accommodations were superb. While I cannot recall the hostess name who sat us, she, Nick our server and Eddie the evening manager were on POINT! Will certainly be back soon!
I just wish I had known they had stopped their brunch menu back in the fall.
Visiting Charlotte and wanted some place nice to have dinner for the wife’s birthday. Loved our experience! Will definitely be back!
Good food. Cameron was great.
We were dining out for my birthday. Absolutely wonderful experience!
Loved the our food and the service was great!
The meal was excellent. Had a young man that was not on top of his guests. We had to ask for majority of everything for our table, then he would be gone a good while and forget what he was supposed to bring to our table.
We would return again bcause food was excellent. If they sent him as our server. We would ask for a different seating area than his.
We go for business lunches and the prices are way to high
Poor service--waitress not very good--made mistake on check. etc.
This was my husband's birthday dinner and we were not pleased. First, we were under the impression we would lose our reservation because we were told they only have 10 tables available. When we arrived, no one was hardly even eating at any of the tables. There was a rowdy crew at the bar who kept screaming and being extremely loud while we tried to eat. We had never been to this establishment, so we assumed that the waitress would inform us of the fish of the day or what was good to try. We enjoyed where we sat until they brought a rowdy bunch in and sat them directly behind our table. We could barely eat and enjoy each others' company! Then, my fish was cold and rubbery. My husband had a sampler platter, which he says was also cold. For the price of what we paid ($145) we expected a lot better service and food.
Great restaurant and service, will come back. Valet service is convenient.
Everything was great from the food, the hostess, waitress, etc
Unfortunately, our service was horrible. I've dined at this restaurant numerous times and not sure how I feel about going back at this point.
The Antarctic Salmon choices were delicious. It was tasty and light.
47th wedding anniversary
Seated @ booth quickly with VIP service in spite of crowd waiting. Food presentation lovely & quite good. Overall, a delightful evening out.
Outstanding cuts of beef, fresh lobster tails steamed just right
Very understaffed. Hostess was borderline rude and my steak medallions were mediocre at best.
The seafood on the other hand was very good and our waiter was as well. We did wait awhile before being acknowledged at our table but it was obvious that he was covering way too many tables and did the best he could.
Good location re: where we stayed downtown. We were seated quickly per our reservation and the service was ok. Service could have been more attentive given quality of restaurant. Wait for appetizer was a bit long as well as for cocktails.
Bar service poor, cocktail mediocre, table service slow, food average...not worth the money...not going back.
Everything was so tasty. Great food!!
This was the only place that actually had a decent wait time when I was visiting Charlotte, which was GREAT! My friend and I were seated promptly and out waiter Malik (hope I spelled it right) was FANTASTIC! He made sure my friend and I were confortable and checked in on us as needed without it being overbearing. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and even gave us a great recommendation on which oyster was the establishments best. Although my friend didn’t enjoy her pasta my Salmon Pesto Rigatoni was AMAZING! Even the next day! We were upset about the krab legs however with the price being so high we expected a good quantity however that was untrue. I would eat here again but I don’t think I’ll be ordering the krab legs.
Had wonderful service and food to celebrate my birthday. Have always had excellent experience when dining at this restaurant.
The lobster bisque is outstanding. I had the fish and chips and it was average. My husband had the salmon stuffed with lobster and crab. He said it was very good. I highly recommend the bowel of bisque rather than a cup because it is so delicious.
Slooow service. For starters - Dry martini, up with twist came out wet and untwisted. Chardonnay was warm. Food was ok. Starters came out in slow waves. The calamari was tasty but not crisp. The lobster bisque was awful. Thick and gooey - lacked salt. Not worth the price. Then it took forever to get entrees. And when they came - they were meh. Scallops and risotto lacked salt. Risotto was goopy. The need medallions were tough. And no gravy. The seared ahi was good. But slow service and so-so food made this a bad dining experience.
The food was great. The atmosphere and service was not what I was expecting. Loud and poor service
The customer service was awful. The staff didn’t come to our table for 20 MINUTES before we had to flag one down and ask for bread and water, which took another 20 minutes. We were then rushed to order because the waiter seemed inpatient. The waiter walked past our table to help Older white people, and made them comfortable. I honestly felt out of place and uncomfortable because I’m black.
made a reservation for Friday, 2/15/2018 for 6:00. Specifically Chose M&S because of the its proximity to the theater and they offered valet parking. (Valet parking was mentioned in our email reservation confirmation) turns our the city shut down all valet parking because of the NBA Allstar game in Charlotte,. Understandable however, could have mentioned that in the email reservation confirmation. the manager was very nice and gave us a free dessert. the menu was limited and made especially for NBA Allstar patron, which we were not. Paid a premium. The green beans were not cooked (Al dente would have been great). the waiter (Malik) was very professional.
Great service and great food, outstanding staff and very clean
Everything was great but it was so cold. It's February and I know the place is packed but it was too cold.
First timer and love the food the service was awesome and i will be back real soon.
We dined here for Valentines Day and had a great experience. They were very busy with the All Star weekend crowd, but managed it beautifully with lots of staff. Great place to eat!
Went here for Valentines Day, me and my date we’re running behind for our reservation and their staff worked with us, Thankfully we had no wait. I’ve dined at McCormick & Schmick’s on multiple occasions and as always their service and food quality is Awesome. Definitely my favorite restaurant for seafood.
They sat us in the back of the restaurant by ourselves, past 10 open tables in the front, because they assumed it would get busy and fill up. It did not. Our waitress was ok. She checked on us once the entire time. The food was not worth the price. I got the stuffed jumbo shrimp. $39 for over cooked shrimp. It tasted like chicken. I was only able to eat two of the five on the plate. I couldn’t stomach the rest. We waited last minute to make a reservation on Valentine’s Day so we had limited choices. We should’ve stayed home. $160 later and we grabbed burgers on the way home. Disappointing.
The restaurant was as expected. The service and food were excellent. The server was great and very attentive. It was my birthday and we enjoyed ourselves immensely!
Our waiter was very nice but overall the restaurant was understaffed. He forgot to bring water, we had 1 dirty glass, a chipped wine glass and waited awhile for our checks. The food was fabulous though- and reasonably priced.
Exorbitantly overpriced! $114 for two margaritas, a bowl of gumbo, water, bread an appetizer of 7 very small pieces of ahi tuna, an entre of stuffed flounder and an entre of shrimp and grits. Atmosphere was nice but not worth that kind of price! I found it amusing to see the size of the plates that came and how "lost" the small amount of food appeared to be on that huge plate! I would recommend smaller plates!
To top it off, I used your valet service. When we were ready to leave, I gave my receipt to the valet representative...….and then started waiting. Twice I went back to ask him how much longer it would be before I received my car. The second time I asked, he was fumbling around with the keys within his little valet stand. He told me the other fellow had just gone to get my car. He then picked up a set of keys and asked me if that was my set? I looked at him in wonderment at how his cohort was in the process of retrieving my car and yet he was asking me if this set of keys were to my car? I received my car 20 to 25 minutes after it was requested!
The food quality was OK but certainly nothing to rave about and certainly not up to par with what one would expect for a $114 meal.
Not that it means anything to you, I will definitely not be back to your establishment! I'm certain if it were not for expense accounts, where folks are spending someone else's money as opposed to their own, McCormick and Schmicks would be in Chapter 11 ........ and for a Friday evening, I was surprised when I walked in and saw the small number of patrons that were there! When I left, I understood!
In the next section of you questionnaire, I would recommend that you add a check box for "NOTHING"!
We have been to several M and S over the years and the service at this one was not satisfactory. The food was good but our server never came to the table, was very late with our drinks, and did not provide bread or refills. Based on this I would not recommend this location.
Very Nice place for after work networking
