I honestly did not get to eat there because they advised the veteran meal was on November 11th not the 12th. Somewhat I guess my error but an employee of the restaurant at another location had advised one could book the reservation on the 11th or 12th I thought or the Military Veteran meal on Veterans Day. So I did not get to enjoy the meal for me and my spouse. However I have had there food in my lifetime so have enjoyed it in the past. So my positive review is based off past experience. : )
Everything was amazing
Excellent food and service! We went for Veterans Day and my husband whines a veterans felt so honored by them. They gave him a delicious free meal
Thank you so much for a lovely evening!
My husband is a Veteran!!! M&S stepped up to the PLATE (literally), and not only treated the Military Service men and women, but treated their spouses too!!! A memorable occasion!! Thank you M&S. We salute you!
From the moment you walk in the door from the hostesses to the servers you feel welcomed even through your dining experience.
Consistency at McCormicks never changes and I love it that’s why we return.
Very good atmosphere. the service was great. Although a little cold, the food was tasty. Would definitely like to have another
Restaurant was understaffed for a Sunday lunch experience. The Mahi Mahi was dry and the steak medallions portion was small. Overall presentation was poor as if chefs were just pounding out the food to fill the orders
Thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner at McCormick and Schmick's. We will likely make it an annual thing. Attentive service and great food. Thank you! -Mike P.
Advise maybe jazz or easy listening music in the evenings.
Thank you for making it special!
Service was really bad. Young guy who was obviously not trained well (i am not blaming him), had no idea about wine, could not carry the empty plates properly (silverware felt down etc.) ]. Food was cold for one of my guests, steak looked and tasted like old rubber. Didn't order mash but had it on the plate, vegetable was overcooked.......
The only good thing was the wine we had!
Overall a real bad experience for almost $300. Will def. not come back or recommend this place anymore. There are much better options for less in Charlotte.
Excellent food, excellent service. Our second time here for my wife's birthday and we will be back again next year.
Great place celebrated our Anniversary. Our dinner was outstanding. We received a Dessert to celebrate our Anniversary.
Food was excellent: nice selection and perfectly prepared. Service was a little slow at the end of the meal so we didn't have time for dessert. Another time...
This was a great restaurant for our trip to Charlotte. Food was delicious and the ambience and service were outstanding.
We made a reservation online ( which was quick a simple) we arrived and were seated at the selected time. I menu had many options and we had a party of 5. The wait was short and the waiter was attentive. I personally ate steak and double tail lobster. The steak was on my top 3 for juicest steak ever. The atmosphere was very relaxing and pricing was reasonable for the food options. We would ear there again.
Overpriced. Uninspired. $35 for a small piece of fish with a tiny portion of grilled veggies says it all.
I love their food, but the service is just ok, Capital Grille and Ruth's service really is better.
Felt like an off night for what is typically a great location
This restaurant was terrible. The fish was $38 and hard as a brick. The bouillabaisse was also $38 was horrible and the shellfish was mostly empty shells. The chef is terrible. Cobia is a white flaky fish not a hard yellow over cooked brick. The food was inedible but I didnt want to send it back and get spit in my food. Do not go here. I wasted $140 and went to eat tapas across the street the street when we left.
Food was way over seasoned and over cooked. I expected better from such a reputable establishment.
Our server, Trent was magnificent. Warm, knowledgeable and attentive.
The steak and seafood was very good but all the sides were very tasteless. We ordered the sautéed mushrooms which normally add to the steak and they had no flavor at all. All the sides very mediocre.
There was some foreign paper/plastic object in my food. We were offered complimentary dessert but we declined. The server was spacey and unknowledgeable of menu/serving options.
Still paid full price for my meals and left a tip. Won’t be returning here. I’ll go to the South Park location if I want M&S which I don’t expect to crave for quite a while.
Had a reservation for 6 and got seated at a table for 5...kept having to ask for silverware and glassware and squeeze in another chair. A little disappointing for the level of restaurant this is supposed to be.
Had to send a steak back and salmon was undercooked. Just not what I expected.
The menu selections are good. The service was good and the dessert was fabulous.
Overall very good. The food was excellent!
Very slow service in a half full restaurant. Their excuse was that they had a banquet of 40 people going on in the back. Poor planning on their part.
Excellent food and service.
My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary with McCormick & Schmik's. Their staff went out of their way to make our evening enjoyable and memorable, even with a 'personalized menu'. Coupled along with the food we ordered was over the top, I would definitely recommend them, especially for a special occasion.
Wonderful dinner! Shrimp kisses were presented beautifully. Crab and tuna entrees were great. Service was friendly and very good. Highly recommended for date or business dinner.
Service was slow. Entree was tasty. Salad overdressed. Very expensive for what it was.
Service was rather “matter of fact.” Wives food was good according to her. I had basic fish and chips. The breading on the fish was not good. Actual fish had a strange taste. Ate fish but scrapped all the bread. Did not elevate to mgt as I figured I had no plans to return
While attending a conference in Charlotte, our group of three couples dined at McCormick and Schmick’s. Excellent service. Great food. Decent surroundings. In all, what’s not to like. Lot’s of reviews for this location complained about bad service and less than great food. Not our case, with terrific service and excellent food.
Had to down grade service due to being out of ny strip and some other cut of meat. I can't remember which one.
Did not like the menu changes. The person that writes about "open tables" keeps responding we did not meet our reservation. We were there. We did tell the hostess and I don't appreciate constantly writing and this person constantly puts it on me the customer to figure out the incompetence of the host not having as a show. Not my issue!
The food had no taste. Service was ok. Took so long to get a cup of soup.
The food was awesome and the manager was amazing!! Will definitely be back.
My wife and I took my younger brother and his girlfriend out to celebrate their new jobs. We were able to book the private booth facing Tryon street. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was very relaxed and quiet and the service was excellent. My brother and his wife were really impressed and delighted. They loved it so much that they want to come back as soon as possible.
Food was good. Do not appreciate waiter "upgrading" the vodka used in the martinis. We ordered martinis. We did not order Grey Goose vodka and $14 for a 2 ounce poor is way out of line.
Fabulous as always and service spot on. Highly recommend for an after work gathering with teammates or just a relaxing dinner with the hubby.
