The food was very good. My wife had the lobster special - two tails for $30 and I had the seared scallops for $32. I was very surprised to find only four scallops on a bed of spinach and potatoes. The cost was a little more than expected.
Was in town and stopped here for dinner before a evening party. Food was great and Taylor our waiter was excellent. Will stop in here again the next time when visiting Charlotte South Park!
Food had no flavor service were really bad, I paid $30 for 4 tiny pieces of tuna and 2 spoons of rice , overpriced and not worthy of your time and money
Customer service was excellent!
This was the first time I've been to M & S in a while. The service was top notch as always, but the food quality has declined since my last visit. I started with the lobster bisque and the bisque itself was fine, but the chunks of did not taste fresh at all. They had an ammonia-like aftertaste that told me it was less than fresh lobster meat. For my entree I had the almond crusted trout. It came with mixed vegetables and orzo pasta. There was zero seasoning on anything on my plate. I could literally not tell the difference between one bite and the next. It was extremely bland and the fish was somewhat oily. I ate half the food and brought the rest home where I re-seasoned everything and sautéed it together as a hash and the taste was greatly improved. Lastly, we ordered a slice of raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Again, the item tasted like it had quite a bit of age on it and I only ate one and a half bites. I could not abuse my tastebuds any further. It's a shame because the prices and location of this restaurant indicate that the food should be much much better. On a positive note, Chad, our waiter, was exceptional.
We took friends with us who also enjoyed M&S. Me, I always get the fried shrimp tho I do wish the locations down here would start offering the Chesapeake Clam Chowder offered by ones in northern Virginia.
Wonderful. I refer clients all the time.
Food was great. Waiter and Service excellent. Upon arrival at the hostess stand the lady and gentleman told me that they did not have our reservation which I had made through Open Table and had the confirmation email and number in hand. First they said I must have made it at the wrong location and then when I showed them that I had not, they said they had this problem quite often with Open Table. They then said they could seat us as they had plenty of open tables. If they had just taken this approach initially it would not have taken the edge off the festive mood and excitement we had about dining for my wife's birthday, which it did. Not a professional greeting for sure, luckily as I said it was balanced out by the waiter and chef's excellent performance. We have used Open Table many times in different cities with no problem, but would not use for this restaurant again, if we revisit.
Great seafood, especially in-land. King crab legs were delicious. Service was great, thorough but not bothersome.
The food & service were excellent! It was a special occasion and the staff made the 85 year old birthday girl feel very special.
We had appetizers and dinner. The food (all types of seafood) was very good and the service was timely and professional.
Great place to eat. Service was good and the food was excellent. Easy access parking made the trip a total success.
I love there was an option to eat in private . Perfect place for a business meal . Service was excellent!
We were here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and everything was great. Our waiter, Taylor, was very friendly and efficient and always had a smile on his face. The food and the service were exceptional! We had not been to this restaurant in a while and will be back! We are glad that we came here for the birthday celebration!
We have been to McCormick and Schmicks in San Francisco and Philadelphia. They both are much more elegant and the food much better. We were very disappointed in this location of the restaurant. We are not a Landry's fan, but we have enjoyed McCormick locations before this one. I hope that it is not Landry's management changing their upper end chain for the worse.
Our server was awesome! Sweet girl, it was our first visit . I will definitely plan our next date night here.
They were out of seared tuna. My bourbon grilled salmon was about a 2 oz serving. Left hungry. Server was very nice & attentive. Food was disappointing.
Brought our parents in for dinner. Just a treat for us all.
Great service. Food was perfectly prepared and quite delicious.
Excellent food. Great happy hour deals. Happy hour only in the bar.
All lovely, delicious and great service.
If you want delicious food for your pallet and warm welcoming ambiance this is the spot for you.
Mouth-watering seafood choices. [That's all I wanted to say, but this site REQUIRES AT LEAST 50 CHARACTERS. ;-) ]
As a fine dining establishment, I guess I expected more from this restaurant. When I made our reservations I specifically requested a table as opposed to a booth, although we arrive early, about 10 minutes, they had to discuss where to seat us, in a completely open dining room, and then offered us a booth. I had to decline a booth and requested a table. They moved us to a table close to a private room where a party was going to be seated.
We sat for about 10 minutes before someone came over to take our drink order. I do not blame the server for this, as I do not believe we were one of his tables, once he started taking care of us, everything started working out better.
I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna and a Ceasar Salad. I never recieved my Caesar Salad and when the waiter realized this I told him not to worry. I received my Ahi Tuna, it was good, on the very spicy side, which I do enjoy, but it tasted like it had been dipped in Cajun Blackening seasoning after it was seared, which seemed a bit odd, but I did enjoy it. The Cucumber Salad was great, but the portion was tiny, as was the portion of Sushi Rice, probably 1 - 2 tablespoons of rice!
We ordered desert, I got the New York Style Cheesecake, it was amazing.
Nice Restaurant, we do go occasionally, but for the price, it feels overpriced.
Good service. Mo was great. Food very ordinary. Dessert of chocolate bag very good. All else just fair. Won’t be back.
Our server Michael was knowledgeable energetic and attentive without hovering. Great dinner!
Always have a great meal here. Can be counted on for fresh seafood, and wait staff who know the menu and make informed recommendations.
Great Valentine's Day dinner at McCormick's at SouthPark. Both wife and I enjoyed our food. Manager stopped by to check on us. Aleeza, our waitress, was outstanding. Would definitely recommend for others.
Our server Chad was properly attentive and equally helpful. Management checked in on us and was properly attentive as well. The food exceeded expectations. The Shrimp Kisses were divine and Chocolate Silk pie was to die for. One of our favorite places to eat in the Landry group.
You could tell the staff was really busy. Valentine Night had them stretched. But our server, hostess, everyone was great. One of our favorite spots!
Good food. Nice atmosphere. Waiter was good but never saw him again after we got our food and no one came to check on us. I'm not sure what happened. It was weird though.
Steak was bland and not very tender. With the exception of our server, staff lacked professionalism and courtesy. Deffinately NOT worth the price.
The food was good and prepared in a swift time frame. Although it was a busy holiday the staff was very attentive and addressed any minimal issues.
My husband and I dined here for Valentine's Day. Our food was fresh and delicious. I'd definitely come here again.
We were there for Valentine's Day for a 6pm reservation, and we were put into the overflow room, thank goodness my wife and I have been married for 30 years, nothing romantic about this room, we were just waiting for the retirement video and talk to begin. M&S should give the diners that sit in this room for a special occasion a free appetizer or desert as compensation for having to sit in this room. Nothing in the entire room but tables, you don't even get the cocktail menu or candle on your table.
Valentine’s Day was a wonderful occasion this year because of the fabulous time we had at McCormick & Schmick’s! The food was divine - I think I could have cut my small filet with my fork. And, the service was impeccable. The ambience was marvelous. and it was quiet enough to actually enjoy conversation with a dinner partner. The management took time to come by our table and check to see if our food came as we requested it. This type of attention and civility are something missing these days in most restaurants. And it will keep us coming back to the Southpark M&S.
Location and ambience were great. Food was perfectly prepared.
We enjoy the ambiance. We especially love the private dining, it's such a nostalgic, elegant option. While we were somewhat disappointed with the menu for Valentine's Day lunch, my husband tremendously enjoyed his meal.
The food and service were on point. The staff was appropriately attentive. I asked for a particular type of table when I arrived knowing that they may not be able to accommodate my last minute request. They were able to take care of us and immediately sat us at perfect table.
Not a very good experience. BrickTop’s, right around the corner, is a superior choice.
When we want a great fish dinner we head to McCormick & Schmicks, they never disappoint.
