McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Bridgewater Ratings and Reviews
We chose this spot for DH’s 70th birthday. We had excellent service from Carl! We shared coconut shrimp to start and both chose the king crab legs. They were advertised as easy to eat and it was true! Delicious and no mess! We washed it all down with a Sauvignon blanc and were very very happy.
McCormick & Schmick’s went out of their way to offer a special meals for Veterans Appreciation. That’s something surely needed during this time in our Country and Community where the values that made this country unique and great are under attack by revisionist s.
We went for the Veterans Day dining special. The parmesean crusted flounder was nicely done, but the fresh sting beans could have been done just a bit more. The rice pilaf was a nice touch and flavorful. My wife had the beef tenderloin and they were prepared as requested. She had ordered the creme brulee for dessert, but when it came time to have it, we found out that there was no more to be had. Settled for the lemon sorbet instead. Meal presentation on the plate was nice, but, the portion looked small on the large plate.
I love the restaurantthe and the highlight for me is the ribeye steak. This is my first time at this location. I am not a seafood person but my wife is. It was sat night 7:15 so the weekend isn't even half over. I place the order and I am told they are out of ribeye. I am shocked. My filet was good but I was greatly disappointed.
Had lunch. Cajun Shrimp wrap, large, tasty served with fries and house made pickles, all extremely delicious. I went for the fried chicken which wasn't on the menu this day but the shrimp wrap may be my new favorite. My wife had the Shrimp and Andouille Mac and Cheese which is really tasty and a very large portion for the money.
Overall experience was very good. Steak was tender & cooked perfectly for both of us. The only negative was we weren't told the specials...only knew their were any by overhearing them told to another table and we weren't offered bread but saw other tables getting it.I
On 10/28/17, my husband & I along with another couple celebrated our wedding anniversary at M&S. Our waiter Kareem was attentive, gave great recommendations and had a super friendly personality. The ambience, food & cocktails were awesome! We definitely be back soon.
Don't expect bread with your food. We asked on four separate occasions for bread starting with when we placed the order for food but din't receive bread until finishing our meal and trust me we didn't eat quickly and even had ordered an appetizer!
The wait service can be inconsistent!
A rather unpleasant experience. All of our meals were tasteless. Salt and pepper wasn't even on the table to try to rescue some aspect of the meal. We have been to M&S before and giving it another try since they had open outdoor seating on a beautiful evening. Most of the tables were swapped out with lounge seats and cocktail tables which made it difficult to have a meal. This is nice for drinks and appetizer but not for sitting and eating. They should bring back more tables to capture the overflow from Cheesecake Factory.
Portions are getting noticeably smaller over time. In fact, I left the restaurant still hungry but not willing to invest further in dessert based on our entree experiences. The cheeseburger kids meal was the positive exception in which it was an adult portion.
May be good if you want drinks and seafood apps as a unique change to the norm. Seek elsewhere for family dining.
My wife and I come here whenever we can make the happy hour. This was the 3rd time we have been able to make it for happy hour in the last few months. We thoroughly enjoy the happy hour menu since we don't each eat large portions so we like to share the appetizers and getting a drink. We happen to get the same server last time (Kareem) and he was very attentive and the service was excellent. He also remembered us and even played with our infant son. We appreciate the friendliness and great service he provided. Those are the small touches that always differentiates restaurants and services.
4 of us were out for my husband's birthday. He's in the Landry Select frequent diner program and they award $25 for his birthday.
As we're working through our tasty main courses, we ask for a 2nd basket of bread. The waiter says OK. After some time we ask again and he says it'll be out in 8 minutes. We finish our main courses (longer than the 8 minutes) and no bread. He takes the plates. We figure we're not getting the bread. We skip deserts and ask for the check. Besides our credit cards we put in the Landy Select card and mention the $25 birthday credit. The manager comes over with the check asking who's birthday it is and that he's sending over a desert for my husband. The waiter brings the 1 desert and we figure while he eats that, lets get that bread. We ask the waiter again for the bread and he says its coming out shortly (MUCH more than that 8 minutes). We talk / share the desert. And wait. And wait.. Easily another 15 minutes. At this point it was a game - will he bring the bread. We lower his tip on the receipt as we wait. Then we finally leave without the bread (and he had disappeared).
The place was quite empty the whole night. So no bread wasn't because they were real busy / ran out / he got distracted. He just didn't want to bring a 2nd bread?
And we don't want to eat there again.
My wife and I had dinner to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted warmly upon arrival. The waiter was friendly and professional. The food was great and we enjoyed the quiet ambiance of the restaurant. The manager came out to thank us for our business. We had a very pleasant evening.
I really enjoyed eating here this past weekend. Our waiter was great - he got everything right with a bunch of substitutions and was very personable. We even had my toddler baby brother with us and they had a high chair and a coloring page for him. Had a really lovely dining experience.
