We had a group of 6 for a special birthday. The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent!!
Visited during Restaurant Week and ordered off the fixed price 3 course menu. Food was good and well prepared but portions were a little small. Waiter was friendly and attentive. The chef walked through to talk to the patrons to get feedback on their meals, which was a nice touch.
Quick lunch with a friend turned into almost 3 hours. Food was excellent, service attentive yet gave us the time and space for a deep conversation. What a lovely place to enjoy food, friends, and family!
I come here quite regularly for business dinners. I like the consistently high quality of food, great service, the menu choices and the relaxed ambience. I hesitate a little to rate the place as outstanding because there are lots of good restaurants in Bellevue but it is a reliable, great restaurant that I really enjoy coming back to.
Excellent food. Quiet restaurant. Great service. Would definitely recommend McCormick and Schmick's!
We had a large group of 8. And it is kind of like trying to heard cats. Gretchen our wait person was wonderful and professional. She understood it was to be a long meal and made it a wonderful experience. The restaurant is great and seafood and steak offerings were very good. I would recommend this restaurant.
We went there for restaurant week, so I tend to give restaurants some lee way on preparation as I know that it can be fairly busy.
However we went on a Thursday evening, and while the restaurant was busy, it never really filled up.
The food was very tasty, but there were some notable misses:
- The lobster tails: They were 2 significantly different sizes, so one was quite over cooked and a bit rubbery the other was pretty much correct.
- The Molten chocolate cake was VERY VERY over baked. It was solid all the way through, dry, and frankly crisp on the outside. It was salvaged by the sauce and ice cream on top of it making it palatable.
I've been to M&S before on non restaurant week menus and have had a much better time. I'm hoping that this is a one off because of the special menu.
We were given the regular menu when seated, when we also asked for the Restaurant Week menu our server was a little perturbed . He seemed placated after we ordered from both the menus! The food was excellent !!! The self checkout was very techy, but there was also a tab for a printed receipt which was an experience in itself, there were 4 people trying to generate it, inc the GM. Suggest the tab be removed if a printed receipt is not readily available . My impression of Restaurant Week was not favorable as it seemed that the servers were unhappy about the total bill and the possible tips!
Excited, then disappointed, to try Seattle Restaurant Week here. They won't offer you the special menu, you have to ask ... we had to ask three times. I ordered tenderloin medallions, which were chewy and a bit grisly. The beet salad and almond cookie mousse desert totally saved the meal for me. If a restaurant isn't excited to participate in the event and isn't ready to delight potential new customers, why do it? I have colleagues who love this place, but I don't think I'll go back.
Over priced. Under seasoned. Oysters Rockefeller was great.
We had such a grand birthday celebration. Our server, Keith, was very attentive and outstanding. We tried the steelhead & the Maine lobster tail from the SRW menu. They were perfectly done & delicious. The desserts, an almond cookie basket & a warm molten cake, satisfied our sweet temptations. And, our kids enjoyed their Calamari, and fish & chips. We doubtlessly chose the right restaurant for a special occasion.
Like to have seafood so we went here for restaurant week and it was very good and drinks were great. Good waiter.
Mediocre food for a huge price. Way better places to eat at in this area for sure. Server was nice enough, but non attentive and slow. Not worth the price tag by a long shot.
We dined in the Bellevue location for a date night. It was a nice, romantic dining experience. The food was well presented and tasty.
We tried the Seattle Restaurant Week menu which was varied though they had already run out of gnocchi which was a big disappointment for one of our party but the server got an upgrade on the beef for the medallions to make up for it. The steelhead was excellent. The dessert was satisfying chocolate melt cake and ice cream.
We had a group of four comprised of local professionals. There were a couple highlights such as the sole and sea bass entrees. The not so highlights were the lobster bisque/lobster tail and calamari. The extreme low point was the group with several sick gagging kids seated directly next to us though we were early and there was plenty of seating. Had we not already been served appetizers etc, we would have asked to be moved. This group coughed non-stop through our meal. Other diners were eying them as well, who would want to be near them...we certainly did not. Understandable awkward situation. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive.
The service was outstanding. Everyone was very attentive. The trout was a little off; but it was quickly replaced with another choice. As an apology, we were offered a "Chocolate Bag" complimentary for dessert. Oh my . . . it is to die for! It was Easter Sunday afternoon and the number of guests was just right . . .not too many, not too few. It was a very pleasant experience.
Via OpenTable, hostess generally is very respectful of seating request if available. That was not the case on 3/30 at this Bellevue location. I was put it the back by the kitchen; I specifically noted not wanting a table like that. While there is other table available per my preference, the hostess said others have that request. I told her I made the same request as well. Then, she checked and led my party to my requested table after she went back and forth 3 times. Obviously, she did not look at the note. Once seated, My lips were almost slit in their thin and chipped water glass. The manager came over and said he would check the rest of the glasses. That's it. Then, I did not get my 1000 check in points on OpenTable. I called them 3 days later to check. They said I was check in and unknown why I was not credited. He will call me back upon my request. In this case, I would only recommend coming here for HH as I did not have any good experiences in the dinner room here each time.
Food is very good. Service extremely slow.
Birthday, my trout was very fishy
Great late afternoon meal. My wife and I were traveling through Seattle from the airport and thought we would try it. Nice location and good indoor shopping/walking nearby.
The seafood was delicious, although it was covered with a "sauce" that was more of an oil. But push that aside and the shrimp and salmon were tender and very tasty. Wedge salad was not very good, but the mixed green salad was good.
Service was very bad. I was never offered another glass of wine and asked twice for more iced tea which I never received. We wanted to order dessert but could not find our waitress anywhere! We finally asked her for dessert menus and she never brought them, so we paid and left (after waiting over 30 minutes!!!)
Excellent service. Consistently good food. Continue to repeat.
Great service from a very attentive and experienced waitress.
I love sitting in the bar area. It can get a little noisy at times though. The best happy hour deal is definitely at McCormick & Schmick's. An entire quality made to order hamburger fries and two alcoholic beverages can cost about $20. That is a great deal for great food.
Have had great experiences at Ruth Chis for 20 years. This location did not live up. Food was of a non Ruth Chis standard. Server did not appear at table enough. hope i have a bettre experience next time
My wife were impressed by the greeter acknowledging our anniversary and finding us a table in a quiet area. Tha waitress was attentive and very helpful with information to facilitate our dining experience. While having viewed oysters on the on-line menu, I was a little disappointed that they weren't on the restaurant menu. Nonetheless, the food selections were superb!
Good food, good service. Prices are a bit high, but still acceptable for special occasion meals.
The lunch was great! My friends and I enjoyed the tasty food and quiet conversation. Good for casual get-together.
Christina the server was very attentive
We had a great time!
Had a great lunch. Server was excellent very attentive and professional and food was very good. It was noisy behind us the men are talking too loud. Next time I will request a corner table. Otherwise it's all pleasant dining experience will be back.
Out steak was cooked perfectly. The garlic frites were delicious. The birthday dessert was full of chocolate yummyness!!! Thank you!
Waitperson was kind of frantic which diminished our experience. Asked if we waste wine before w got our coats off like she was rushing us. Wait between salad and entree was very long and we didn’t even have the wine we ordered to enjoy while waiting. Food was wonderful. Took way too long to get the check as well. Probably won’t be back, it was too expensive to be rushed with I’ll-timed service.
We are Landry’s members and M&S is the best Landry’s Restaurant we have been to. Very good food. We enjoyed everything very much. We will definitely be back.
Excellent restaurant. Monique was fun and engaging at the bar. Would definitely go back again.
We were disappointed that the crab & shrimp louis was removed from their menu. But we enjoyed some other new dishes. The ambiance and décor of the venue is wonderful. Seafood is their key entrees and they are fresh and beautifully done.
Sadly, McCormick & Schmick’s didn’t have their “Schmick” together to deliver a tasty or special Valentines Day dinner. I had the Parmesan crusted sole—which was 9/10 breading/Parmesan and 1/10 fish. The vegetable risotto was gloopy and cold , and the uninspired green beans and Julien carrots were nearly raw—missed “al dente” by miles—and lacked any seasoning. I also had a Cesar salad that was drowned in dressing. The first waiter (who never introduced himself or presented any specials or asked if we had questions about the food) took our order and we never saw him again. It was a litany of different servers throughout the meal. We didn’t know who to grab to order more drinks and actually asked for the bill from 2 different people, and after paying, were asked if we wanted to order dessert! It was a very disappointing meal and a clusterf%#k of an evening for the floor staff. I’m going to make a point to tell my family NOT to get the McCormick & Schmick’s gift cards from Costco so I won’t feel obligated to use them or have to subject someone to the same experience via regifting the gift card.
Went here for Valentine's Day. Made reservations and was seated at a nice view booth in corner, so started off well. Our server was excellent, Keith or Kevin. Started with a cocktail and oysters, both very good. I ordered the scallops with pork belly, (killer), and my wife had filet mignonette with prawns, (xlnt). Finished with the bread pudding, another good choice. The only disconnect is that I was quoted a $15 charge for corkage and we were billed $20, but no biggie. The tablet bill process was interesting as it did not let you go back and review once you got to the tip, so I think we took care of the server correctly. Overall another xlnt experience at McC & Sch.
We were very excited to have Valentines dinner there. We were quite disappointed! We were seated a a tiny table next to a ransom wall - tbey really crammed us in. The service was so slow, and the food came out cold! We ordered crab cakes as an appetizer - but were SHOCKED when it was brought out- it was ONE small crabcake! For $16! My steak was cold, as were the potatoes. The potatoes had sort of a crust formed from sitting out waiting to be brought to our table. We were very disappointed
