Food was not up to their usual standards. Disappointing.
The services I received was good and the location is a great location right across from the mall, but the foods was blend. Needs more seasoning (salt & pepper).
We made reservations online and entered a special request for a booth by the window and entered a special occasion for a birthday. At the restaurant, we were taken to a table toward the back away from the windows and when we asked the hostess for a window booth as requested, she appeared irritated and upset that we asked even after we entered it with our reservations. The four of us settled in and ordered our meals. The steak and potatoes were fantastic, but all vegetables on our plates were undercooked and some inedible. We let the server know and the head chef came to the table and apologized for the vegetables and told us this was the first service with these vegetables. Ok, but who can't cook vegetables and how were they not checked before being sent out. We finished our dinner and dessert and were given our bill with 10% off the entrees for the vegetable problem. We paid our bill and not once was the special occasion for the birthday we entered on our reservations mentioned. Overall we agreed if we are going to spend over $260.00 for dinner, we are headed elsewhere.
Good food, but service is always slow even if the place is not full.
Wonderful service & food. Of all the available booths, we were seated in a nice booth, closest to the door. A cold rainy day and we froze each time a patron entered or departed. Sounds minor but it was distracting.
I had the filet and stuffed shrimp. The filet was amazing but the shrimp was on the line of being over cooked. The veggies were great and the garlic mashed potatoes was amazing.
The confusing part was how loud they were playing top 40 music in what felt like it should have been classier lower volume music for the type of of restaurant it is supposed to be.
I’d go back, but not for the shrimp or ambience.
We are regular at McCormick & Schmick's and my wife and son were very very disappointed with our last visit. Overall we enjoy going there as a family outing, and in the past the service has been great and food as well. This time the service was great but the food was disappointing. I ordered some cedar plank salmon which it was OK, but i felt overpriced. My son ordered some pasta with seafood and he felt it was oily and not that good. Finally my wife ordered chicken and past and basically she did not like it.
Very tasty! Great for seafood and steak lovers. It was pretty expensive for what it was, I got salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans and it was $32. But, it was definitely delicious and still worth it. A little loud with the music but definitely not as bad as other places.
The tenderloin steak was not up to the quality of previous visits; I cook better steaks. In other words it was disappointing. We had practically had the place to ourselves at 2:30 pm; the noise level was to loud. If the restaurant had been crowded it would have been difficult to carry on a conversation. This isn’t fast food; you want to enjoy the food, the company, and the conversation.
They should be forced to change their name. It is nothing like McCormick & Schmicks was when it was good.
Love the restaurant! After the McCormicks closed in Seattle, this is the first time I tried the restaurant in Bellevue. Great selection of food. Fish and chips are always the best. Love the seafood trio!
Just ok. My lobster tail was dry and over cooked or worse...just old. The filet was nice, but nothing special. All in all nothing special. This location is very corporate and boring. I went to this same restaurant in Pittsburgh and it was much better.
The food was tasty and flavorful. Our server and her helpers were not very attentive.
We were served our main entrees at the same time that we were served our salad. We felt we had to eat our salads quickly so that our main entree did not get cold. This does not make for a relaxing date night. She did ask her manager to remove the charge for the salad. The manager approved that, which was nice. Our water glasses were empty much of our meal. She would flit by our table on her way to tend to other tables. At the end of our meal she walked up with our bill in her hand and asked if we wanted dessert. It was a disappointing dining experience. I would not chose to go back to this location.
Decent gluten free menu. Very good food! Recommend for date night!
Dinner was late in coming and was incomplete when delivered. Mistakes happen but once an apology was offered the meal should have been very accurate. Otherwise, good experience, however we didn't order dessert due to that less than acceptable experience.
It’s was better before. My food was ok, salmon and crab cakes were very good, shrimps way over salted and green beans probably cooked yesterday, my husbands medalions were not bad, but not greatest. Hostess was unhappy, and unless it’s open table fault but my birthday was not mentioned(ok I’m not 5 to be sad about it, but other restaurants usually are better with that). Overall I’d say for that price it’s not worth to go.
worst dining experience in a while. The service is ok, not great, not bad and it is rather fast. The food is terrible. The seafood trio was overcooked and with way too much salt. all the ingredients were floating in stale cooking oil. The fried calamari appetizer were too dry, overcooked and looked like someone just tossed some food at a plate. 2 people sharing an appetizer, one iced tea, a draft beer and two entrees: $92! will never go back. I guess it is the first bad review we wrote in over 7 years!
Food is always great here. Our server, Daviana, was terrific.
Birthday celebration. And they served a wonderful ice cream cup cake with candle that we all shared!
Always love going there. Excellent everything. Very classy and professional. As a professional server I tend to look at everything and I can't find fault one. Worth every dime. Keep up the good work.
Disappointing this time. For a Seafood restaurant, the fish and chips were ok but not great. Tuna ok but again not great. Bok choy needed a streak knife to cut. The sword fish was highly praised. So the choice of the restaurant was not poor but I will have to think about my usual recommendations to others. The dessert, upside down apple pie, should always be tried if you are out bar hopping.
Cold coffee slow replacing
One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. My wife and I both had fish (ahi tuna and mahi mahi), both were sub-par compared to other restaurants in the area. The mahi mahi plate was extremely disappointing. For the prices we paid, it was like getting mugged in the alley.
The jumbo shrimp cocktail was delicious...
The steak was wonderful and grilled to perfection.
No room left for dessert, was wonderful all around and good conversation as well.
We had a pleasant weekday, early afternoon lunch and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the experience. M&S continues to uphold the standard we have come to expect. Highly recommend.
I booked this reservation for my birthday dinner. We arrived at the restaurant to find out it had been closed permanently. How does this happen that you can book a table and a time and the restaurant no longer exists. We had my 6 year old niece on a school night and had to find an alternate restaurant that would take us in and did not eat until 8PM. Not happy.
I ordered salmon with seasonal vegetables and the serving size of veg was too small.
We had a fantastic Reuben sandwich and the service was great.
Service was prompt and attentive. Server was upfront the drinks may take a little extra due to a very busy night. But drinks were prompt. Managed expectations. Nothing bad to say.
A great evening. Celebrating my and my son’s birthday. Only negative was the noise. Hard to talk and hear.
Food was good... Server messed up several times
Loved the experience! Mahi Mahi was superb! The staff was great!
The server was friendly and wanted to please but unfortunately the service was embarrassingly slow and got it wrong on several counts. Wrong oyster variety/wrong count on the appetizers. Drink rounds took 20-25 minutes. The food was quite good though not outstanding considering the price of dinner for four people. One of us ordered her steak rare+ and it was medium. All in all, a friendly establishment with poor service on an evening where they weren’t even busy. Disappointing.
Service was not very professional, server had zero personality and was rushing to take our order in a nearly empty restaurant, checked on us very infrequently after taking our order. Did not ask if everything was to be put on one bill, just brought the tab to the table which made it awkward for the person paying for my guys dinner (birthday), me, to not feel obligated to just foot the whole bill. That should have been questioned not assumed. The food tasted good but not worth the $...nothing I would absolutely rave about. For the price, overall I was disappointed mainly in the service, not just from our server but from others as well who came across as less than enthusiastic.
The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing.
The fish dishes were incredible and highly recommend.
Was not impressed by our server Rachelle. She portrays herself as stand-offish and looks like she’s afraid to talk to people. In a high profile place like here, you want a confident and bubbly server that likes to connect & interact with the people your providing a service.
Next time would request another server....
Food was excellent. A little pricey but large portions and high quality. A little noisy but very busy on Valentines Day. The service was very slow initially. Took about 15 minutes to get a water and 20 for a cocktail.
Food was excellent and service was good. A bit pricy though...
I had a reservation for Valentines eve at 8pm. I was there on time but had to wait 10 Minutes but it was fine for us. The table was missing a napkin, the server was kind to get one for us.We ordered a pretty large variety of food from their Special menu.We started with an appetizer,Calamari which was breaded` Sadly it was not good, too dry and the breading was horrible, it will fall off the calamary if you decide to dip it into the sauce. They brought the bread & butter after we had the calamari and turns out they did not put the complete utensils on the table we both were missing knifes and requested them from a different waitress that seemed annoyed and had attitude.I ordered the Lobster Bisque cup and it was perfect! I ordered grapefruit juice because it was freshly made and it was perfect,I had a special request with the juice orders which is no ice to be added because it will end up watering up my drink and I am not a fan even if they have to fill it half way through!I love my juice! later I decided to order the fresh orange juice,I waited a long time which they explained they were busy which was fine with me~ the problem was that they added water to the juice!Yes fresh orange juice and added water! Trust me I know my juices, that really irritated me tremendously but my wife calmed me down and I asked her nicely to get me another one because they added water in it! Took her a good ten minutes to come back and say sorry you didn't like the orange juice and basically said the orange quality was not that good and if I would like another grapefruit juice instead and I agreed-She said she wont charge me for that returned Orange juice and I was thinking in my mind really lady? You ought to do that!we ordered the Scallops & Cobia Fish for the main dishes and it was immaculate Well cooked and it was fantastic! That made things better for us There was no hint it was Valentine except that the menu title. Not even Happy Valentines, Flowers or anything! What a shame!
It was Valentine’s Day. Our waitress (it’s been a few days and forgot the name) was beyond outstanding with how insanely busy it was. She made her way to our table every chance she could all while being pulled in 50 different directions. Amazing help. Will definitely return.
When you're paying over $100 for dinner you expect the presentation to be really nice. My filet mignon, although tasty, looked like s shriveled piece of leather on the plate. The finger potatoes were tasteless and burnt. Tell your chef to call Martha Stewart for some advice! A very disappointing evening!
