Christmas dinner, service was extremely confused. It took 20 mins for drink order. Appetizers came before drinks. Food arrived cold and dried out. Bill had listed wrong items that were $10 more than what we ordered. When questioned, the waiter said it was "automatic", so he never bothered to check that the bill was correct. I would not recommend this restaurant, far too expensive for mediocre food and poor service.
Reservation was 30 minutes late seating us. The kitchen was backed up, so it took 1 1/2 hours to get food served. The food was cold when we got it. I won’t go back.
Had an early dinner on Xmas day, the service was horrible, will never go back...Had to wait almost 40 mins to be greeted and then another 20 mins before we received a menu and water, and almost another 45mins for a salad and fish/chips!!!!! Spoiled my appetite for the evening. Save your $$, it's not worth it!!!! I called management and excuse was the kitchen broke down around 3....too many large tables to serve and couldn't catch up! They're not the only restaurant that serves large parties and this is Xmas, they should have been more prepared!
I took my sister out for Christmas dinner. Our server Simon was very attentive telling us about specials for the day, and adding his own favorites. He made sure everything was to our expectations.
The food was excellent, atmosphere just right.
Christmas Day lunch at McCormick & Schmick's was great! Took my 91 year old father and he enjoyed himself. The waitstaff were very personable, making suggestion and attentive without being obtrusive. Even though it was Christmas, everyone was very friendly. Food was served in timely fashion and everything was cooked to perfection. Hard to beat the location as well, right on the waterfront in downtown Baltimore.
Truly enjoyed a fantastic view and food Christmas Eve. Staff was wonderful, all with smiles on their faces, serving with attentiveness and enthusiasm. We enjoyed it so much last year we returned and now consider it part of our holiday week traditions. Ask for Darrius to serve you. The number and variety of seafood entrees is amazing, along with a nice number of beef dishes for meat lovers. Overall pleasure to eat there. 😄
We thought the food and the service was less than what we expected for the prices that are charged here. The food does not have good flavor, and the waitress was not as attentive as she should have been. There are better options available locally for special occasions.
The food was okay. The food wasn’t as good as it was in the past.
Food was sort of unspectacular and very salty. Seems like the kitchen was substituting fresh ingredients and flavors for an overload of salt and butter. I wondered why on a Saturday night they were not very busy and the food spoke for itself. Probably will never dine there again.
I had an amazing time . The food was great and the waitress was great.
Delicious seafood served by an excellent waiter Dane Miller.
Friendly bartender and helpful manager.
Always a favorite place to dine!
I had the worst experience at this place. I didnt expect to have dinner with mice running all over the place do not go here.
My wife and I enjoyed the physical surroundings and meal very much. However, the service was not up to par. From a booth of 4, the extra plates were not removed in a timely manner to afford sufficient room for the overall meal. The service as overall sporadic. Coffee was serviced, however, our deserts did not come until much later when the coffee was cold and practically empty. I cannot remember the waitress' name, however, she was a young, thin girl of color.
When we booked our reservations we requested a table near the window, but were told there was a chance they could not accommodate the request. When we were seated on Friday evening at 6:30 the tables were not filled or crowded at all.
It was our first Thanksgiving away from home. We were not disappointed. The food was great!
Food was excellent.
Food was Luke warm, never got my veggie, waited ling time for cocktails and server was largely hard to find .. But it was a busy Thanksgiving dinner. Melody was VERY nice. Would still return.
I went to this restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. It started out bad because nobody approached my table for 15 minutes. I had to wave down a server. I was told nobody was assigned to my table. The waiter was very nice and took my table so that I didn’t have to wait. I asked for a manager and the manager was very nice as well. The food was a disappointment but I would try it one more time. I guessing that because of thanksgiving the cooks were limited on this day. The whole Thanksgiving experience was a disappointment.
This was my first experience with McCormick & Schick's in Baltimore, The occasion was a family dinner for Thanksgiving. We ere seated promptly and the hostess was very nice and personals, The cocktails were wonderful. The meal was a little disappointing. The food itself was very good, but the temperature of the food was horrible. The green beans especially, were very cold . We mentioned it to our server.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner . The food was just ok. The turkey was lukewarm and dry so that was disappointing for the price. The sauce on the turkey was minimal so that did not help with the dry turkey. The rest of the meal was satisfactory. The waiter and the service was excellent. I would not go back there for Thanksgiving dinner. All four of us in attendance thought the meal was lacking especially for the cost.
THIS LOCATION HAS NO PARKING.
Only paid parking $10 for lunch.
Be sure to get your parking validated if you go during lunch.
Please do extend our compliments on our luncheon on my 67th birthday on Sunday, November 19, 2017. The chef is fabulous! The food is always great ... what else can I say :-) It is our go to restaurant for all of our family birthday luncheons as we come there in March, July, October and November every year for almost seventeen years now :-)
The food was subpar. My food was great but it was not hot and fresh. One person in our parties food was never cooked properly even after two attempts. Hard to give a good review with subpar food and below par service.
We're veterans and local Baltimoreans; we came because we had a gift card. We've been many, many times. We do not come to M&S otherwise because portion size per dollar makes most dishes a poor value. Service was competent and friendly is a tad slow. The food was delicious as always, but there are more inspired local choices, many of which are far more economical. If cost is no object, you cannot go wrong for delicious seafood at M&S.
It was a good experience. They have a consistent level of service and food. You can always be assured that you will enjoy the dinner
We went for a date night and it lived up to expectations. The seafood was exceptional! The service was on top of things but not hovering. The meal was worth every penny. Definitely not a weekly or monthly stop since it is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Planning to go back for a special occasion in the future.
The food was very good, and the service could not have been better. The waitress was terrific - personable, accommodating, and fun.
The only item that could be improved is the valet parking. There are two valet companies operating in front of the Pier V hotel - one for M&S and another for Ruth's Chris and the hotel. It was a little confusing when dropping off and picking up my car from the front of the hotel. Maybe use the same valet company as the other places - or have the M&S valet service use the main entrance and not the hotel entrance.
M&S is one of my favorite restaurants - and this experience did not disappoint.
My partner and I attended for Veteran's Day 2017. That of course means it was complimentary but McCormick's has seen me (us) in their dining halls many times over the years. As always, the fare and everything else were outstanding. Also, I actually received enough of a portion-size that it lasted two meals.
Service from Adriann was excellent and she was compensated appropriately. Our table was everything we specified in our reservation and more. Bathrooms were very clean, and the ambiance of our dining hall was basically perfect. The meal could not have tasted better had I meticulously cooked it myself.
Both my lady and I were very please during and afterwards, and the best way for us to show this is to return, and we of course will be doing that.
On a related note, there are many within driving range for us, but the Baltimore Inner Harbor location has officially surpassed it's peers and has become our favorite location.
Service was absolutely terrible. It took forever to have a server come to the table. He constantly forgot things and I had to finally ask another server to find him because our food was taking so long. It was really bad. Nice location, but man the service was the pits.
We were so touched that they offered a special "thank you" event for Veterans and Gold Star spouses/parents, and even personally thanked us for our son's sacrifice. As Gold Star parents, this was very much appreciated.
The food is excellent service a little too slow overall a nice place for a special night out.
My wife and I have been here twice. This was our first time during the veterans day meal. The food was great like last time and service was top notch.
McCormick and Schmicks is slipping. The food was just average, to include the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake. The service was slow. And the whole place is in need of remodeling or at least refreshing. Not to mention access for stroller or handicap is not the best as you are forced to walk through the entire restaurant if they seat you in the back room as the hallway leading there has steps on both ends without ramps.
Food was excellent, chocolate mousse bag for dessert was out of this world! Everyone was friendly!
We will be back!
Been to McCormicks many times; always good. Our Server Jen was also great. This location has better view and is quieter than the M&S Grill on Pratt Street. Food is great at both.
I took us well over 2 hours to get our food. We arrived at 2:15 an got our food around 4:30. Disappointing at least.
We went to McCormick & Schmick on 5 Nov 2017 for their absolutely delightful Veterans' Day meal. Thank you so much for thinking of us veterans! We totally enjoy being so spoiled by the wonderful experience!
Our server, Sade, was helpful and attentive. The crab dip appetizer was incredible which made us excited for our meal. However, the seared scallops and mahi mahi were mediocre, especially for the price. I would return for the crab dip but not much else.
Food was good, I was expecting a little more but it was pretty good my mashed potatoes were cold.
Place was gorgeous!
I really love the food and the setting was beautiful. I'll definitely dine here again
