McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Baltimore Ratings and Reviews
It’s was my daughter’s birthday and I was very disappointed. The food was cold and not seasoned well. The crab cakes were not what I’m used to. The coating on the crab cakes were like box fish. Some of my quest coating was white. I was not impressed. The best part of the evening was the manager who accommodated my extra guest.
We always enjoy eating here. We have a Landry frequent diner account. We especially like the Baltimore Inner Harbor location because of the fabulous views. We have eaten in many restaurants in this chain but we think the food is best at this one. The Bloody Mary's were spicy, but not too much. We often get the lobster Cobb salad tower wherever we are, again these are the best. Better than some of the others, generous with the lobster meat and bleu cheese. Our waiter was cordial, prompt without being pushy. I had a birthday award and was greeted by the manager because of it. Nice touch. When so many places have gone away or disappointed. It is good to know that this tradition is still here, perhaps even better!
We had not been to this location since 2000. We found it to be both scenic and secluded. We had the whole dining area to ourselves during the latter 3/4 of our meal. The Crab Dip was delicious and the steaks were very good. Our server, Simeon, was excellent and shared some of his personal story as a Moroccan.
Went here for a Christmas dinner, what a mistake! Totally inept service, waited forever for food and it came out separately, 30 minutes wait for the second appetizer
to arrive, then another 45 minutes for the entrees to come out. Food was awful. My entree was missing the cucumber pickle on top. The waiter brought out a plate of pickled cucumbers that were inedible, so salted it made me spit them out. Desserts were horrible. The server brought out coffee without saucers, or creamer, and no teaspoons, then 10 minutes later showed up with 2 soup spoons and 2 small ramekins of milk. Everyone in our dining room section complained about the food and service. Avoid this place when visiting Baltimore.
This place was an abomination! Had 7:00 pm dinner reservations on Christmas Day for me and my wife. Got seated quickly, maybe a 10 minute wait. Our waiter Spencer took our drink and meal orders. He told us the kitchen was running a bit behind cause of the holiday. Looking around in the restaurant there were a lot of open tables, so we just said ok. At 7:30 our appetizer came out and again stated be patient with the kitchen. At 8:35 with no meal and the restaurant not full we had enough. How long does it take to cook 2 steaks? 10 minutes maybe? This was ridiculous. Our Christmas dinner was ruined! We asked for the check and the manager came over and apologized and took our sodas and app off of the bill. We will never ever come to this dump of a place again. Not even if they offered a free meal. Just a joke of a place. If I could give no stars that would be better.
We visited this restaurant on Christmas night. We had 6:30pm reservation. The service at the bar and at the table was horrible. We didn't receive items requested and most of the food came out wrong. Dirty dishes were piled up on everyone's table while I saw a manager in the office sleeping. As the servers, etc. would walk by you had to ask them to clear your table. It took them 2.5 hours to get us our food. This is totally unacceptable considering the amount of money we spent on dinner for the six of us. You would have thought the service would and could have been better. We will never visit this restaurant again.
Been to the restaurant several times and had a great experience. However, this we went for Christmas dinner. Service was horrible. Had a 6:15pm reservation. Was immediately seated. Food didn't arrive to the table until after 830pm. The manager ultimately made it right and our waiter Demeterius was great. But overall I was not impress with services at all.
*sigh* I've been to McCormick and Schmick's plenty of times but this was my first time at this location. It took over an hour and a half to receive our dinner, when it came, it was room temperature. I have contacted their corporate office, I was told I would receive a follow-up call from a manager; that was two days ago.
Christmas dinner, service was extremely confused. It took 20 mins for drink order. Appetizers came before drinks. Food arrived cold and dried out. Bill had listed wrong items that were $10 more than what we ordered. When questioned, the waiter said it was "automatic", so he never bothered to check that the bill was correct. I would not recommend this restaurant, far too expensive for mediocre food and poor service.
Had an early dinner on Xmas day, the service was horrible, will never go back...Had to wait almost 40 mins to be greeted and then another 20 mins before we received a menu and water, and almost another 45mins for a salad and fish/chips!!!!! Spoiled my appetite for the evening. Save your $$$$, it's not worth it!!!! I called management and excuse was the kitchen broke down around 3....too many large tables to serve and couldn't catch up! They're not the only restaurant that serves large parties and this is Xmas, they should have been more prepared!
Christmas Day lunch at McCormick & Schmick's was great! Took my 91 year old father and he enjoyed himself. The waitstaff were very personable, making suggestion and attentive without being obtrusive. Even though it was Christmas, everyone was very friendly. Food was served in timely fashion and everything was cooked to perfection. Hard to beat the location as well, right on the waterfront in downtown Baltimore.
Truly enjoyed a fantastic view and food Christmas Eve. Staff was wonderful, all with smiles on their faces, serving with attentiveness and enthusiasm. We enjoyed it so much last year we returned and now consider it part of our holiday week traditions. Ask for Darrius to serve you. The number and variety of seafood entrees is amazing, along with a nice number of beef dishes for meat lovers. Overall pleasure to eat there. 😄
We thought the food and the service was less than what we expected for the prices that are charged here. The food does not have good flavor, and the waitress was not as attentive as she should have been. There are better options available locally for special occasions.
Food was sort of unspectacular and very salty. Seems like the kitchen was substituting fresh ingredients and flavors for an overload of salt and butter. I wondered why on a Saturday night they were not very busy and the food spoke for itself. Probably will never dine there again.
My wife and I enjoyed the physical surroundings and meal very much. However, the service was not up to par. From a booth of 4, the extra plates were not removed in a timely manner to afford sufficient room for the overall meal. The service as overall sporadic. Coffee was serviced, however, our deserts did not come until much later when the coffee was cold and practically empty. I cannot remember the waitress' name, however, she was a young, thin girl of color.
When we booked our reservations we requested a table near the window, but were told there was a chance they could not accommodate the request. When we were seated on Friday evening at 6:30 the tables were not filled or crowded at all.
I went to this restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. It started out bad because nobody approached my table for 15 minutes. I had to wave down a server. I was told nobody was assigned to my table. The waiter was very nice and took my table so that I didn’t have to wait. I asked for a manager and the manager was very nice as well. The food was a disappointment but I would try it one more time. I guessing that because of thanksgiving the cooks were limited on this day. The whole Thanksgiving experience was a disappointment.
This was my first experience with McCormick & Schick's in Baltimore, The occasion was a family dinner for Thanksgiving. We ere seated promptly and the hostess was very nice and personals, The cocktails were wonderful. The meal was a little disappointing. The food itself was very good, but the temperature of the food was horrible. The green beans especially, were very cold . We mentioned it to our server.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner . The food was just ok. The turkey was lukewarm and dry so that was disappointing for the price. The sauce on the turkey was minimal so that did not help with the dry turkey. The rest of the meal was satisfactory. The waiter and the service was excellent. I would not go back there for Thanksgiving dinner. All four of us in attendance thought the meal was lacking especially for the cost.
