Sat outside during the Light Festival. Beautiful night.
My family went while on vacation. Our food took a long time to come out and when it did it was ice cold. The restaurant did remake our entrees quickly which was nice but the experience was already ruined. Even at the proper temps the food was only just ok and not a good value. We won't be returning to any of these restaurants.
Went for my mom's birthday. Great services and food. She enjoyed herself
Waitress was not attentive.
It took 30 mins to get appetizers at 6pm when there were few people in the restaurant. The waitress didn't come back to check on us before entrees, so we had dinner without the wine we wanted to order. She left our dirty plates on the table even while she asked whether we wanted dessert, and still dirty plates left behind when she dropped off the bill. It is tough to sign the credit receipt with so many dirty plates in the way. I won't be going back.
While we’ve been to this restaurant many times, the front desk/hostess staff was disorganized and not on top of their game. While we had reservations for 9:15, we didn’t sit until around 10:00.
The bar staff was disorganized as well. Wrong drinks served to us twice.
It was a perfect day and we sat outside, our choice. The tuna tartare appetizer was the best part of my meal. My wife and our guests had Cesar salad and coconut shrimp respectively. The salad was woefully underdressed, however the coconut shrimp was delicious. The ultimate grill that the woman had, was ok. The shrimp was over cooked and this dry. The crab cake was the best thing on the plate and it was just average. My friend had the fish and chips again, average. I had the swordfish with Brussels sprout in a balsamic reduction. That was the most delicious as my swordfish was dry and again, way under seasoned. Our service was excellent as was desert. The chocolate bag, creme brûlée and chocolate cupcake with toffee were fantastic. Coffee came out tepid but refill was hot and delicious. Company was good, atmosphere was excellent food was disappointing especially for the price.
The service was extremely poor.
Awesome server beyond awesome food!!!
The food was excellent, the only issue I had was poor customer service. After I was seated I waited 30 minutes before someone even spoke to me, I saw people were seated after me but was served before me. They should be more prompt and organized with the waiters. When I finally met my waiter she blamed everyone else for the mistake which was unprofessional and uncalled for. No one should have to wait 30 minutes just to meet their waiter especially for the price of this restaurant.
Our first time here. Wanted to a new place for us. Great experience. Will do this again.
The food was horrible!
It’s was our 30th wedding anniversary and we had dinner there it was wonderful .
I would not recommend the brunch buffet. Minimal selection for the price.
This is in response to my family’s Easter brunch experience this past Sunday (4/1/2018). We had a reservation at 11am for 4 people. My husband and I have attended the same brunch over the last 3 years and have enjoyed it each year. This year, our 4th year, I was embarrassed to have brought my parents. It is most important to know, all the staff, including our server, were amazing. I really enjoyed their kindness and left an appropriate 20% tip. While waiting to be sat, I noticed a menu in the lobby. This was the first time I was able to see the menu and price. To my knowledge, this was not posted on line when I made the reservation (or at least I could not find it). I was a bit surprised to see the price had increased to $50 per person. I was fine with the price thinking the food selection had likely increased. I was shocked to see there was nearly no seafood available. My parents traveled from PA to enjoy MD Crab and there was not ONE food option that had this staple item at this WELL KNOWN SEAFOOD RESTAURANT. The only seafood available was a small raw bar (not everyone takes to raw seafood) and peel and eat shrimp. I asked a server about the crab cakes and he informed us these were only coming out for the dinner portion. I couldn’t understand why. This was never the case in the past. I though “maybe the brunch was less expensive than the dinner buffet, or perhaps a drink was included”. This was certainly not the case. We paid over $200 for brunch to eat eggs and hashbrowns. I do not feel this was worth the price. I was so embarrassed that my out of town parents insisted on paying the bill (knowing they are not extravagant spenders and likely didn’t know the cost), and I also felt completely scammed. I also felt bad for the staff who tried their best to please customers not as friendly as us. There was one table that walked out behind us after seeing the buffet. I reached out to the restaurant personally and did not receive a response.
Had a delightful evening, Waiter was great and the food was excellent. Wait period for food and drinks was just about right. Would recommend highly.
Reservation for 8:30, seated at 8:50, restraunt 75% empty. Head staff had already prepared tables for the next day when we got there. When food arrived it was not hot.
By the waterfront. We got a quiet table by the window. Nick was our server who pampered us like royalty. Food came out in good time and was delish.
Great food great staff beautiful view of the harbor!
Service was fast and excellent. Food outstanding. Portion size was a little small for the price.
We went for a quiet dinner for 2 and they placed tables with screaming kids on either side of us. It was horrible.
Chase was a very good waiter he engaged in conversations and made very good meal suggestions.
Great food!Lobster bisque soup, filet and crab cake was as expected. If you can get a seat indoors near the window overlooking the harbor, go for it. The restaurant may feel a little outdated if you are into more contemporary styling but, it is definitely clean and the service is pretty good.
The customer service, atmosphere and food were exceptional! I plan to dine here as frequent as possible. Management came by to every table making sure everyone was okay even after the waiters made sure we were okay. Thats my idea of 5 star customer service. They validate parking as well. I also love how the bar area is separate from the dining area. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and will be tell my friends and family.
Spencer was a great server at the Harbor east location . He made our visit wonderful because he helped us out a lot with the menus options . He explained each dish well and recommended my dish which i loved ! He was also hilarious ! I’d come back and recommend him specifically . The scenery was beautiful . We couldn’t stop talking about how good our meal was .
We chose this restaurant for a pre-concert (Celtic Women) dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. My absolute favorite is their Cucumber Mint Lemonade, as a non-alcoholic alternative. We started our dining experience with the Lobster Bisque and the Crab Dip, both very tasty options, but a tad bit on the salty side for my palate. We proceeded to our main course, which was the New York Strip with Asparagus for my significant other, and the Pan Seared Salmon (from Scotland) with Lobster Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. The Lobster Mashed Potatoes had a smooth and silky consistency, generous Lobster chunks, and tasted delicious. The Salmon was buttery soft and most scrumptious. As for the Green Beans, I did not much care for them; however, they were palatable. Overall a very pleasant dining experience, with a beautiful view of the Baltimore Bay Area at sunset.
The music was very loud and unfortunately not very good. Food was okay, not very flavorful and very small portions. Definitely not worth the price. Our server was very friendly and attentive
Always a great time at McCormick and Schmick and our recent visit was no exception. The food was delicious and our server Chase was outstanding — friendly, energetic, and extremely helpful. His recommendation for dessert was excellent.
We go to this restaurant for the consistent experience - the great food, wonderful, attentive staff and picturesque view of the Baltimore waterfront.
took 10 mins just to get greeted at table. food took a very long time to get there. lobster was undercooked and mushy......waiter never asked how my meal was.... spinach was worst than out of a can! never acknowledged my birthday...... just a terrible experience! gave it another try but will NOT be going back!
Good food for seafood lovers. Good service and special care. Willing to revisit next time!
This is our favorite restaurant. We dine in many locations but none can match this one. All areas of service is excellent. The waiter on this visit was great.
It was a Birthday dinner. Very nice meal. Great food
Food, service, atmosphere was spectacular!! The timing of the meal felt prompt but not rushed and everything was perfect for the birthday celebration!
Oysters Rockefeller, scallops, ribeye and desserts fantastic!!!
Good food good service
I had to insist on being seated in the dining room and not the lounge, where there was a television and it was too loud. Once I was settled in the dining room everything was fine. I was eating early, so I am not sure why the hostess wanted to push me into the lounge, but that was not the dining experience I wanted.
Everything else went well. Good service, delicious food, good recommendations.
M&S provides a decent but immemorable meal. The setting in the Baltimore Harbor provides nice ambiance.
Not ready for the reservation. Waited more than an hour for food. Did not bring appetizer or soup. No drink refills offered. Will not be back.
THE MANAGER AND HOSTESS WERE WONDERFUL. THE "WAITRESS" WAS HORRIBLE AND THE WAIT FOR FOOD WAS TWO HOURS
The entire experience was amazing. The food was good, and the wait staff was attentive, nice, and quick.
