McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Baltimore Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I enjoyed the physical surroundings and meal very much. However, the service was not up to par. From a booth of 4, the extra plates were not removed in a timely manner to afford sufficient room for the overall meal. The service as overall sporadic. Coffee was serviced, however, our deserts did not come until much later when the coffee was cold and practically empty. I cannot remember the waitress' name, however, she was a young, thin girl of color.
When we booked our reservations we requested a table near the window, but were told there was a chance they could not accommodate the request. When we were seated on Friday evening at 6:30 the tables were not filled or crowded at all.
I went to this restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. It started out bad because nobody approached my table for 15 minutes. I had to wave down a server. I was told nobody was assigned to my table. The waiter was very nice and took my table so that I didn’t have to wait. I asked for a manager and the manager was very nice as well. The food was a disappointment but I would try it one more time. I guessing that because of thanksgiving the cooks were limited on this day. The whole Thanksgiving experience was a disappointment.
This was my first experience with McCormick & Schick's in Baltimore, The occasion was a family dinner for Thanksgiving. We ere seated promptly and the hostess was very nice and personals, The cocktails were wonderful. The meal was a little disappointing. The food itself was very good, but the temperature of the food was horrible. The green beans especially, were very cold . We mentioned it to our server.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner . The food was just ok. The turkey was lukewarm and dry so that was disappointing for the price. The sauce on the turkey was minimal so that did not help with the dry turkey. The rest of the meal was satisfactory. The waiter and the service was excellent. I would not go back there for Thanksgiving dinner. All four of us in attendance thought the meal was lacking especially for the cost.
Please do extend our compliments on our luncheon on my 67th birthday on Sunday, November 19, 2017. The chef is fabulous! The food is always great ... what else can I say :-) It is our go to restaurant for all of our family birthday luncheons as we come there in March, July, October and November every year for almost seventeen years now :-)
We're veterans and local Baltimoreans; we came because we had a gift card. We've been many, many times. We do not come to M&S otherwise because portion size per dollar makes most dishes a poor value. Service was competent and friendly is a tad slow. The food was delicious as always, but there are more inspired local choices, many of which are far more economical. If cost is no object, you cannot go wrong for delicious seafood at M&S.
We went for a date night and it lived up to expectations. The seafood was exceptional! The service was on top of things but not hovering. The meal was worth every penny. Definitely not a weekly or monthly stop since it is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Planning to go back for a special occasion in the future.
The food was very good, and the service could not have been better. The waitress was terrific - personable, accommodating, and fun.
The only item that could be improved is the valet parking. There are two valet companies operating in front of the Pier V hotel - one for M&S and another for Ruth's Chris and the hotel. It was a little confusing when dropping off and picking up my car from the front of the hotel. Maybe use the same valet company as the other places - or have the M&S valet service use the main entrance and not the hotel entrance.
M&S is one of my favorite restaurants - and this experience did not disappoint.
My partner and I attended for Veteran's Day 2017. That of course means it was complimentary but McCormick's has seen me (us) in their dining halls many times over the years. As always, the fare and everything else were outstanding. Also, I actually received enough of a portion-size that it lasted two meals.
Service from Adriann was excellent and she was compensated appropriately. Our table was everything we specified in our reservation and more. Bathrooms were very clean, and the ambiance of our dining hall was basically perfect. The meal could not have tasted better had I meticulously cooked it myself.
Both my lady and I were very please during and afterwards, and the best way for us to show this is to return, and we of course will be doing that.
On a related note, there are many within driving range for us, but the Baltimore Inner Harbor location has officially surpassed it's peers and has become our favorite location.
Service was absolutely terrible. It took forever to have a server come to the table. He constantly forgot things and I had to finally ask another server to find him because our food was taking so long. It was really bad. Nice location, but man the service was the pits.
McCormick and Schmicks is slipping. The food was just average, to include the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake. The service was slow. And the whole place is in need of remodeling or at least refreshing. Not to mention access for stroller or handicap is not the best as you are forced to walk through the entire restaurant if they seat you in the back room as the hallway leading there has steps on both ends without ramps.
One of the worst experiences I've had in quite some time - took about 45 minutes to get salad , then another hour to get (1) entree - mine was brought out by itself and we were then told that my wife's entree was "missing" and that they needed to re-prepare it - It was borderline ridiculous- server was nice which is about the only kind thing i can say but service , timing , was horrendous
Unlikely to ever return
My wife and I were going to a Pier 6 concert and since we hadn't been to M&S in a while we thought we'd have dinner there. I made a reservation via Open Table for 6:15 figuring that was plenty of time before the show began at 8 pm. The reservation also indicated that we wanted to eat inside the restaurant. We got there at 6:10. the person at the concierge said she could seat us outside immediately but if we wanted to eat inside, it would be at a minimum a 30 minute wait. I was perturbed and in a polite manner asked why would M&S accept a reservation if they could not meet the request in the reservation. Finally, she said ok and we were taken to a table in a part of the restaurant where there were at least a half of a dozen of empty but set tables . It took 20 minutes to get a cocktail. We ordered appetisers and entrees. After some time, our entrees arrived and then our appetisers. Our server kept apologizing for everything. It was not like the old M&S years back when they had good service and food to match. And the costs do not meet the value.
The server was great but I wasn't happy with my food I ordered the beer batter did and chips my fries was over cooked and cold my fish Less than desirable It wasn't good at all But yet I still paid the bill and went on about my day . I would not recommend the cot to anyone it wasn't good nasty even if I had the time I would have had the cook to order me something else but I didn't have the time and had to eat it.
