The service was very slow it took 30 minuets to seat us after we arrived. The service was very slow the entire evening. The crab cake dinner was not good at all, very tasteless. We felt that the quality of our meals was as good as it was in past years.
I hosted a group of a dozen or so this time, and the comments were universally positive. Food was outstanding, even compared to other M both were outstanding, as were the wines.
Not cheap; for dinner, drinks, plenty of good but not expensive wines, and shared deserts we were about $120/person tip included. It's about what I'd expect for a good restaurant (not gourmet) in a city. I've also been to this location on cooler days/evenings, and really enjoy dining outside along the waterfront.
Never had this happen but we were seated for about 15 mins before anyone stopped at our table. The manager notice came over and comped our drinks and appetizers! Nice save!!!!
Bartenders Tesish & Jimmy we’re very friendly, treated us like locals. Had a app early, went back for dinner.
Perfect patio dinning evening
We had mussels to start. Very good. My swordfish entree was a little over cooked but the sauce and veggies helped to moisten it. My husband had crab cakes and they were very good.
Meals were exquisite. Desserts were amazing. Ambiance and service were superb. Beautiful views of the harbor at sunset.
The restaurant was pretty empty for lunch time during the week. The service was a little slow as well for the restaurant being so empty. My meal was ok I had the shrimp and andouille mac and cheese, mine tasted pretty good not to spicy. Another person in my party had the same thing and said it was salty. The third person in my party had the Lobster Cobb Tower and said it was not very good.
It was my dudes birthday week close out as well as my first time dining in establishment. Everything was amazing icing on the cake was when the Chef came to our table to answer my questions personally.
The server “Sean” was great however the food was very poor. The main reason for coming was the calamari which I had previously. Unfortunately it was not good at all. The bottle of wine could not be located and was not delivered until the main entree was served which when delivered had very little flavor.
Food was ok very pricey not fulfilling parking was high
Our waiter Jamison was NOTHING SHORT OF FANTASTIC.
Perfect day and perfect meal as well. Can't wait TO GO BACK
The food was terrible and the waitress was worse. Have been there several times and always had a good experience. Restaurant week but
Used to be a great restaurant, will never go back now.
I was surprised at the service we received in that I appreciated they seated us before our reservation time (> 15 minutes) but the handling was off the mark. It wasn't acknowledged they would seat us, one of the hostesses just said, "2 to 55" and we just followed. We were also seated at a nice booth with a view of the water but it was set for four people so I had to ask to have the other two place settings removed. There were also crumbs on the table and the back paneling of the booth could have used some detailed cleaning. The food and mixed drink was very good but I am starting to question the amount paid given the service I felt was lacking. Hopefully these comments will help to improve things for the future.
We had to wait quite a while before we were even given a glass of water. In fact, we asked a busser to find our waitress. Food was great!
Very expensive, very small portions. I ordered the blackened Rockfish topped with crab imperial $37. The rockfish was not blackened and not much larger the a Van DeCamp frozen filet. It was topped with less then a crab ball size of crab imperial? Service started out ok, then quickly declined. Service was slow and non-existent by the end of the meal. Service was so rare, another server even recognized this, and came over to serve us drinks. Will never go back.
There was hardly anyone there on a Saturday. That should have told me something from the beginning. Dined with two others, all of our experiences were the same, poor.
Food was unseasoned, unappetizing, poorly presented and left much to be desired.
The manager asked us how our food was. We expressed discontent. She offered to have it made over.
Ummm...if you're using the same chef, no thanks.
I have visited M&S in DC. My experience and that of my party was fantastic there.
Don't go to the Baltimore location!!
Good service! Do not do the crab soup. The ambiance was really nice. I sat outside.
I've eaten at M&S in Annanadale and it has always been excellent. This was a very poor experience and a waste of time and money. Absolutely ruined my friends 55th birthday. Not to mention the mice running around in the outside patio area where we were seated. You must do better! Very disappointed!
A lovely Anniversary Dinner on a perfect Baltimore evening with a great view of the Inner Harbor. Our server, Jonathan, was exceptionally well versed on the menu, providing specific detail of everything from where the fish was caught to how the beef was fed- very impressive & with Charm, Grace & Style! The Manager, Ellie, stopped by our table and engaged in very friendly conversation, sharing her culinary journey. Lovely young lady! And the food was positively delicious! We both ordered a Fish Special and they could not have been more perfectly prepared!
A very leisurely, enchanting evening and as we were winding down, Jonathan presented us with a complimentary Anniversary surprise: a incredible dessert, "The Chocolate Box"---a perfect ending to a perfect meal and experience
Food was delicioius and the view was very pleasant. Our waiter could not have been nicer or more attentive.
It was not a good first experience. Went during a concert, $30 parking and couldn't get a valet. The food was okay at best. I understand it gets busy during a concert, but the hostess was very rude. I was let down and wish it would have gone better.
Not the Best 4 to 5 star resturtant . Service was slow it took 20 min just to get Bread and drinks after they were order. The Menu for resturtant week wasn't the best , My starter was
Spicy BBQ Shrimp Baguette - sautéed shrimp; chipotle-lime sauce, grilled artesian bread-
shrimp had no tast nor the Sauce no BBQ favor at all.
Second Course / Choice of:
Fried Soft Shell Crab - cracker meal breaded; dirty risotto, chili lime aioli - Now the Soft Shell Crab was very Good.
Third Course / Choice of:
Chocolate Truffle Cake Tower - gluten free; white chocolate & caramel sauce - Very good.
The Manager Lee was very helpful and very Nice!! I would only go back for Happy Hour!!
Oh we should have gotten up and walked out!
We dined on a Thursday night around 7:30.
Only the bar area was busy.
It took 40 minutes to get a drink. My cocktail glass was only half full (martini)
We were not served bread until we asked for it- and it didn’t arrive until main course arrived.
I thought the crab soup was Campbell’s vegetable soup with a few flakes of crab thrown in - didn’t finish it.
Husband had lobster bisque- said it was only fair.
We ordered glasses of wine at appetizer arrival-they barely made it for main course.
Husband had some fish that was fair and the lobster mashed were merely potatoes with lobster bisque dumped on top. My sea bass was so bad I sent it back.
What a disaster.
Folks next to us with a different water had the same issues.
Clearly the staff is new but you have to blame the management for not training them properly.
We had a terrible experience during restaurant week here. We had 90 minutes to eat and get to a concert next door and even once the waiter knew we had this time constraint, they did nothing to try to accommodate. We ended up having to leave without dessert because our waiter was nowhere to be found once we paid! I wanted to speak with someone but there was no one at the hostess stand when we left. But overall, I will never go to this McCormick and Schmick again.
The hostess was nice. The server was nice and courteous. I did inform the host during my reservation that it was my dates birthday and i was told that a special menu and name on dessert plate would be served. However, i did not receive none of those items. All in all, the food was great and the drinks were great too.
This was my first time at M&S. Upon entering near our reservation time we were immediately seated and the table placement was satisfactory. We waited for nearly 7 minutes for our server to greet us. After getting our drink order it took nearly 8 minutes to come back with a pitcher of water to fill our glasses. Then it was 5 minutes before he came back again to take our order. While waiting for our appetizer which took about 20 minutes, we placed our water glasses on the edge of the table for more water. The problem was our server was nowhere to be seen for the next 7 minutes. Eventually the appetizer came out and it was delicious, so the evening started looking up. As the other food items started showing up our server became more responsive and involved in the evening. The food was all prepared to specifications and delicious. Will recommend to my seafood loving friends.
We had a excellent dinner from the Baltimore Restaurant Week Menu.
Very nice time. Everything was great!!
My wife had a great steak accompanied by grilled asparagus and carrots. My swordfish was delicious along with sauteed spinach and mushrooms. Service was polite and very attentive. Well worth the money
The food, service and Ambience was great. We couldn't ask for a better location to have dinner on a cool evening. Our waiter made several recommendations and all of them were fantastic. We will return for another night
Such great food here! Would def recommend for special occasions!
We had an excellent server and excellent food! Nice family celebration!
Surprise- 7/26- Billy Joel in town- service very poor- food came in shifts. Cant imagine why you would not schedule for additional business.
Wont be back!
We dined at McCormick and Schmick’s prior to going to the Billy Joel concert at Camden Yard expecting a wonderful dinner and dining experience. Instead it was a nerve racking experience. Our reservation was at 5:15 pm. We were seated at 5:15. Our appetizers arrived an hour later. Then we had to wait another 45 minutes and our entree hadn’t arrived. Our waiter was nowhere in sight. I asked another waiter to find him. This waiter had difficulty finding him. Then I asked a second waiter for the manager. In the mean time another diner came up to me and inquired about my problem stating she was still waiting on her food as well. The manager arrived and listened to our concern but never returned with an explanation or offered an apology. Diners who came in after us were leaving before we even received our food. When our food finally arrived we had to eat it so fast to get to the concert that this was far from an enjoyable experience. In fact, it was the worst dining experience I have ever encountered; especially for the amount of money it cost me. I won’t be dining at this restaurant again or recommending it to others.
Parking closeby for $10. Patio seating was hard to leave. Food was tasty and properly prepared. Service was attentive but not interruptive.
Great views, great food, great service. There was a concert at Pier 6 which was annoyingly loud. Have eaten here many times and always satisfied.
Service was terrible! It took an hour and a half before we even received water. Dinners didn’t come any quicker. After waiting a very long time for our dinners, it was disappointing to find some of our food was cold! Would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Alex was amazing! And very attractive.
