McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Baltimore
Book your next event with us
First let me start by saying this is one of my favorite restaurants. Friend from out of town came I wanted to impress her and the service was not good. There was no wait for a table even though you guys were busy but the waitress had us waiting for 25 minutes before even being acknowledge. When we finally was acknowledged she was so in a rush that she wanted the appetizers and entrees which is no problem. we ordered drinks and got them wrong the appetizers were brought to the table by the kitchen staff and she had to replace the order. We never received the complimentary bread while we waited. At the end my out of town guest was disappointed and I was embarrassed after bolstering about what a special place Rusty Scuppers was. The funny thing is I was still going to leave her a tip but she never took the other drinks of tab. I will be coming back no problem bu t maybe and this is just my opinion may she she not have so many tables next time.
Seasoned Mariner in Dundalk has better seafood. The service was great.
In the city for a conference. Awesome wait staff-good food
My service with Malik was amazing he was fast and officiant. It was my girlfriend’s first time in Baltimore, we weren’t as please as we should been for a 100$ ticket. Her steak was dry and e plate looked a little thrown together. The good things on my plate was the potatoes. Our servicer Malik made the experience not so bad. He was beyond patient and welling to help! Thank you Malik!
Great service great food Miller was fantastic
Great service, and food was amazing
Horrible, our reservations was at 10:15 pm and we were not even seated till 11:00. Once we were seated we were not talked to again until almost 12. Then we were told it would be 2 to 3 hours for the whole dining process. Everyone in the restaurant was upset and everyone was leaving. We just left and got McDonald’s and had a blast on Valentine’s Day. Very bad experience there though. Making reservations meant nothing there.
Too long of a wait .reservation was at 9:15 showed up at 9 and they told me they were seating people who had 8:30 reservations . We didn’t get seated until 9:40 We never got our entrees after waiting over 1 hour . When we say done it took 10 minutes for a waited to come over and took about 15 minutes to get a glass of water . I was very upset . Very bad experience I understand it was Valentine’s Day but they were very unorganized , and under staffed
Place was overbooked, food took forever and was cold when it arrived. Just chaotic.
Sat for 2.5 hours. When meal came was cold. Server said she couldn’t locate our order and why it was cold. Manager was flustered didn’t apologize for ruining our valentine. Just said I will take care of your bill for glass of wine and appetize. Never again.
I had a reservation for 9:00pm being It was Valentines Day I was seated at 9:30pm wish was fine. I put my order in for me and my guest food we sat 1 hour and a half with no food. There was other people who came in before us and got there food. I know Valentines Day is a rush day but to not get any food I was applauded. Told the lady who check people in she said she was going to check on it. Came back said food was coming out but this was after we were ready to leave after such a long wait. The waiter Sean kept informing us on when our food was coming out. He was very nice and he apologized to us.
I had dinner reservations for 8:30 p.m. . When I arrived I had to stand in a very long line and was checked in approximately 9 p.m. Once I was seated around 9:15, someone came and poured me water. At that time I placed my order with my server. Around 9:50 Our appetizer came to the table with bread. We inquired about our dinner is well being installed that wait for the appetizer with so long. Around 10:20 p.m. I requested the server Let us know what was going on after waiting one hour for food. She said she checked and did not see a meal as of yet. About 10:45. I let her know that we were ready to go. The wait was entirely too long. She stated the manager is willing to take 50% off the check. I was already upset that it was valentines day & our dinner plans were ruined. My Husband was upset & disappointed as well. We wanted to speak with the manager but she never came. I'm Guessing so many people were complaining and upset that we waited over 90 mins. As we were putting on our coats at 10:50 to meal arrived to the table. I requested the manager again. They Said they'll send her but my husband said he been ready. We left upset with our experience there. We decided to Never Return as the service was horrible. Staff seemed overwhelmed, and speaking on behalf of the manager who was missing in action. I do believe I saw her at a few tables because I think everyone in the section was angry. We chatted with a few couples while sitting and most of us express that we were disappointed and had to go. Valentines day is every year on the same day, they should have been better prepared. They Continued to seat people at 10:30 pm when the people that been there since 8pm haven't even been served a meal. The whole experience was terrible. I don't even want to give them 1 star
Waited 2.5 hours for food that never came. I would never go back or reccomend.
We waited 30 minutes to be seated with a reservation. Hour drinks took over 30 minutes to come and our food took 2 hours and came out cold. We totally understand that it was Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was extremely busy but we really expected a better experience. Our server was awesome and extremely apologetic, we know it wasn’t her fault. We think on a normal day the experience is probably great but didn’t run well under pressure..
Overbooked and understaffed. The seating time was forty minutes after reservation. Ordered food and it came an hour and thirty minutes later. People who sat after me, received food before me. Waiters could not explain what the hold up was. Asked for manager five times and she didn't come to our table until forty minutes later. Just an overall terrible Valentine's Day experience. Would not recommend.
Good food and great service
Not bad if you have a gift card to add to the bill.
Food was excellent and cooked to perfect however the service was some of the worst I’ve encountered. We were in the restaurant for more than 2 and a half hours. The servers we had were very oblivious and seemed very overwhelmed with just the 4-5 tables they waited on together. Took about 30-40 minutes just to get the check and another 25 minutes to get my card back after they had to redo the check because items I did not order were on it. Once again, the food was terrific but the service.. horrendous.
Took 15 minutes before we the waiter came to our table. Had to get someone to find him. Appetizers were delivered to the wrong table. Had to ask for a spoon for coffee. Food and ambiance was good overall.
The food was very good. Busy but good for a Valentine’s dinner.
Dined there many times and the food is consistently great. Our waiter was attentive and fun. Great place to bring out of town guests.
Dinner took over an hour to be made and we ending up having to cancel our order. When asking to speak with the General Manager Ellie Skinner, she/he chose to send the chef out to explain that “a plate was dropped” as the reason to why the food took over an hour. Then sent the assistant manager out that apparently had no clue as to what was happening instead of coming out to speak with guests they did not receive their food. Overall the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant and I will not return.
Reservation seated us promptly, we were able to select better seats to see the view. The speciality items were explained in detail and our meal was was phenomenal.
Celebrated a friend birthday. The food was great although the service was not the best.
The service was great; however the salmon I ordered was over-cooked.
I went for dinner on a Saturday evening with family. I had steak and lobster tail, which was great! We also had oysters. I told the server that I had celiac disease and can’t eat wheat. He sent the manager over who told me all items that were gluten free on the menu. It was very helpful. The after our meal, the chef came over to the table and introduced himself. He told us that they have a special process for making gluten free meals in order to eliminate any possible cross contamination. I was so pleased with their response to me and highly recommend this restaurant for anyone .. but especially those with food allergies and gluten sensitivity.
My husband’s birthday
Our waiter Alex was so attentive and took care of us very well. I have never experienced a waiter like him! The food was out on time and everything was great. Thank you!
Wonderful Pre-Birthday Dinner!
Waiter was extremely nice and accommodating. He truly seemed like he wanted our experience to be satisfying and he exceeded our expectations that night. Food always good.
Our son has several, severe food allergies so finding a restaurant that can accommodate him can be challenging. We called ahead to discuss options for him on his birthday and Ellie, the GM, made it clear that they are a scratch kitchen and they have protocols to keep him safe. They went to great lengths to make him feel special on his birthday. The food was perfect and just as promised. The chef, Derek, hand delivered his food separately. Brooks gave amazing service. We were so impressed and will absolutely be back and telling our friends. Thank you all so much!
Long wait for table, long wait for food, calamari starter not available, server not great, food ok
We Had reservations for 730 we were seated properly. We finally got our food at 8:45. We are considered leaving and when I asked the waitress how much longer she said She would check with the kitchen. The food came about five minutes after that. I had the steak and crab cake with the vegetable. The waitress told me the vegetable was spinach and mushrooms. I received asparagus which I would’ve actually preferred. However it was mushy like it was out of a can.The steak was cool barely warm and the asparagus was cold. The crabcakes were OK. My guest had The Seabass which is also cold. The server only came back when it was time for the check never asked how it was working with any problems. Actually I’m glad she didn’t because I can’t send food back and have it re-fired. Those are my own OCD issues.I can almost guarantee I will never go back which was sad because I was really looking forward to eating at that restaurant. We stayed at the Pier 5 and the restaurant was attached to the hotel. Just say I was disappointed is an understatement
Not great... Dry overcooked salmon w/ some bland grits & sour tasting tomato sauce. It wasn't what I ordered.
Overall a pleasant experience, but very overpriced. Would only go back if we had another gift card. Felt that the food quality was the same I could get at the Cheesecake Factory down the street for half the price.
A party of 10–McCormick and Schmick’s made us feel extra special. Everything from the delicious food to the outstanding service was thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for taking such good care of us!
I was there with my Sorority Sister (LS) and we were celebrating our #112 Founders Day for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. We had a blast. We were celebrating during Restaurante Week so the price was amazing and the food was delightful. Along with the service of our Waiter.
Food was amazing and the view over the Inner Harbor was breath taking.
The food was very good, and the service was impeccable! We’ll be back!! :-)
