I’ve been to this location twice. The first time it was amazing. We went yesterday for the second time and it was a complete let down. It took a long time to put our order in. The waitress just kept on coming around saying I’ll give you a few more minutes. We were ready to order for 15 minutes. The bread finally came to the table it was just 2 very small pieces. She did ask if we wanted more? We said yes please it never came. Our fried calamari were fine. My lobster tails were ice cold. The waitress was playing with ice buckets and our food just sat there and got cold. My sisters dish was cold as well and she didn’t like it much. She ordered their fish platter that had crab cake salmon and shrimp. The dish was cold and salmon was very bland. The waitress kept asking do you want lemon do you want tarter sauce or cocktail sauce? Those items should have been on the plate bring them out why ask. Plus they never came to the table. We may possibly give this location another shot being the first time was amazing.
This was my first time here and it was truly amazing. Our server Louis was outstanding and nice to talk to. 5 star service
Not enough bang for the buck - portions were small, order was incorrect, hot bread is not tasty
The fruit flies were unbearable-in February.
The server took a very long time checking back to our table. He was friendly but not very attentive.
The chocolate purse definitely did not have enough fruit.
The oysters were delicious and served at the right temperature. The mussels were also delicious! I look forward to returning just to have them again. The cobia was over cooked.
The food was great. The waitress could have been more attentive.
Our order came after a 45 minutes wait. My husband ordered the Ultimate platter and he was pleased with his selection. However, I ordered the Dry Rubbed Angus Rib Eye and wanted it to be HOT PINK in the middle and it came back WELL DONE. I was very dissapointed and told the waiter to take it back. The Manager wanted to make another or allow me to select something different. I declined, as I stated that I didn't want to be dissappointed with another selection. Nor did I want to wait another 45 minutes. The manager did remove the $42.50 meal from our receipt. Needless to say, I was truly dissapointed as I was looking for a great meal for Valentines Day.
Waiter never told us the Valentine’s Day specials. Felt rushed. Food ok
Have eaten here before and was disappointed this time. Our drinks, appetizers, bread and salads came out in good time but then our entrees arrived before we were half way thru our salads. I had ordered the ahi tuna with sticky rice and made a point of showing our server which ahi entree I wanted on the menu, yet I received the other entree with mashed potatoes. The waitress did return that one to the kitchen but then my husband waited 10 minutes to start eating his entree til mine was correctly brought to the table. While my husband's entree was delicious but barely warm, the ahi tuna was way over spiced and neither of us could finish it. Rather then make another issue of it, we paid our bill and left. Will probably not eat here again.
Scored king crab legs and stuffed shrimp with lump crab meat were perfectly prepared. The service was attentive but not over bearing. We very much enjoyed our experience and will definitely return!
Wonderful food and service was great! I will definitely recommend.
We have eaten here many times, food is always fresh, service excellent. My wife had the twin lobster tails and I had the Open Blue Cobia. The cobia was excellent, had to help my wife finish the tails (awww). Only commens was that the cipollini onions that were on the side with the cobia were supposed to be roasted, I think, and they were really raw, like biting into a ripe onion. Also, the lobster tails were overcooked, making them chewy and a little tough. We did clean our plates, though. Dessert was millionaire coffee...wow
Went here for valentines day lunch. My fiancé's go a salad which the lettuce was bad and my fish and chips was very over cooked and did not seem like fresh fish. Very disappointed for the price of the restaurant
I was having a great experience, until I found a bug in my drink. I had a red sangria, the bug wasn’t seen until my glass was almost to empty. Waiter appeared to be annoyed when I asked him to check it out for himself. He the took glass and asked a few other waiters until he agreed to have it removed and from check. One of the main reasons I picked this restaurant is because I love the creme brûlée. I ordered it after the bug in my glass, but couldn’t enjoy or attempt to eat more than two spoons. The thought of a bug in my glass with wings or legs was disgusting. Lastly I handed over a gift card I purchased for 125.00, and the waiter ask standing behind a little wall behind my husband with a higher voice was there enough money on the card and would it cover the entire bill. I felt embarrassed that he had to ask that away from us, in a quiet restaurant for everyone to here. We have spent Valentine’s Day in AC for the last 8 years, and have eating here on that day about 4 times out of 8. I don’t think we will not be returning because of the poor service from waiter.
Best happy hour in Atlantic City. Also had an excellent dinner. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
The food was just OK
We came here for my fiance's 50th birthday celebration. I ordered the twin lobster tails which came with green beans and roasted potatoes. I know that everyone is into crisp-tender vegetables lately but I am not! I asked them to cook my green beans well done which they did not. The potatoes were hardly cooked at all. The lobster was fabulous and the steak was delicious. At 50.00+ a plate I expected more.
Awesome as usual, love eating there!
Everything was as expected. We were seated promptly and told the specials. Food took a little longer to come out but we were updated in its progress. Service was great and food tasted delicious
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. Thank you for the great experience.
Great great great. Me and my wife have been here everytime we come to Atlantic City & we absolutely love this place.
Cozy table felt very comfortable and private . Nice to see restaurant but still be able to hear our conversation. Food was great as was the service.
Crab cakes were great. A bit noisy for conversation
Food was very good. My lobster bisque could have been hotter. Noise level was very loud. Many large business groups around us. Our waiter was great but overwhelmed with a large group near us.
60th birthday celebration with my daughter. Debbie, the waitress, was outstanding on every level: attentive but not overbearing, offered wonderful recommendations and was spot on. Each course was more delicious than the last and the wine, the selection of the day, a perfect accompaniment to the meal.
I ordered the bone-in ribeye and took (6) people from my company. Bill came to just under $1000. My steak was awful. Very grizzily, not as tasteful as I would have expected especially after the salesman said he was a fabulous steak. Butter smeared on top is an indication that the steak needs something. A great steak never needs butter!!!! Service was just OK. More like rushing you in and out. For that kind of money, I expect excellent service. I would not eat your restaurant again. When I go to Harrah's, if need be, I will Uber outside the hotel.
It was my first time there for my birthday and I’m so happy I went here I love the food, my waiter was phenomenal!. I loved everything about it . I felt so happy spending my birthday there !!.
This was my second visit to McCormick and it was just as perfect as the first time. What more is there to say when the experience is "perfect?" Highly recommend McCormick & Schmick.
First visit to McCormick & Schmicks. Everything was great from service to ambiance to the food. I would recomend a visit to everyone.
We arrived early and we're told seating was on time and we would have to wait. I saw 5 empty tables at this time. We were taken to our table after our reservation time and sat for a long time. No water no bread. Finally a waiter came and said he would be with us shortly. The restaurant was sadly understaffed. Finally got water and bread. Long periods of time were in between each time we saw the waiter. We finally got our food but we're never asked for our drink order. We couldn't get the waiters attention and wound up drinking water with the meal. Very disappointed. Too much competition in the area to return here.
It's a nice place to go for a romantic date. Great ambiance
Food and ambience was AMAZING. Anytime I go to Atlantic City this will be on my go-to list. It was my birthday and everything was just perfect including the complimentary chocolate lava ice cream cake, TO DIE FOR!!
While appetizer was great, we were not impressed with the main courses... My sea bass tasted weird like it was undercooked & lacked flavor.
FOOD WAS FANTASTIC
OUR WAITER WAS EXCEPTIONAL
The food was descent. Lobster mac and cheese was very good, but everything else killed the experience. The restaurant smelled like a wet dog - as the the hostess, they had to qas she the carpet and that's the smell all over the restaurant.
There were small flies flying all over the restaurant, killed a few of them next to the food. Just disgusting.
When I went to the ladies room, they were all over. Never seen anything so nasty in my life. STAY AWAY.
Overall, we had a good experience - our server (Debbie) was pleasant and attentive. However, it took a LOOOONNNGGGG time to get the bottle of wine we had ordered, and when it arrived, it was not the same bottle that the wine list had indicated it would be. When we refused it, the manager arrived with an attitude, saying "this is the only kind of Sonoma Cutrer we have." He was unapologetic and did not offer to comp us the "wrong" wine or another bottle. We chose a different wine (less expensive). Our caesar salads were nothing special - mostly lettuce - but the fried shrimp was quite good, and the sourdough bread was spectacular.
We have dined at numerous McCormick & Schmick restaurants throughout the years and have always enjoyed the food. This experience was not one of our best, however.
I have passed this place multiple times during my many stays at Harrahs and i wish i did not. This may be the best value/quality of all the restaurants there. Moderate pricing, with excellent food and a large menu that can be appealing to anyone.
I did not specifically request, but was seated off to the side in a personal both with a semi-closed curtain. It was a perfect combination of privacy for my GF and I without feeling like we were completely alone and unable to enjoy in the atmosphere of M&S. I will definitely be back.
The service was perfect. Server was knowledgeable about the menu and popular cuisines. The food was scrumptious. Every bite was so enjoyable to my senses. The atmosphere was enjoyable. Many people were there celebrating a birthday, and yet the lighting was perfect for a romantic date night.
HAD DINNER HERE FOR MY COUSINS 50TH BIRTHDAY. WE HAD SUCH A WONDERFUL TIME! GREAT SERVICE, BEAUTIFUL ATMOSPHERE AND FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. WE HAD FISH AND STEAKS AND EVERYONE WAS HAPPY WITH THEIR MEAL!
Stayed at Harrah's for a show to celebrate a birthday and ate at McCormick and Schmidts. They greeted us immediately with a happy birthday. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Food was very good. They brought a delicious chocolate dessert for the birthday guy. All in all a very pleasant and delicious visit.
Service was outstanding. Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu items.
Food was also outstanding. Nice variety of fish and steaks for those who prefer not to eat seafood.
Good overall value considering the restaurant is located in the casino in AC.
