The Resturant has a sign on the door it was closed and moving location. Very bad form for the Resturant and Open Table!!!! Very annoyed!!!
Great service on New Year's Eve!! The food was great. Lobster and steak you can't go wrong!
Our table was given to us about 15 minutes after we arrived on time for our reservation but it was in the bar area so there were no servers. After about 20 minutes of waiting a server came to our table with water. We had to get our own menus. The server happened to be new and wasn’t trainer and had to fetch a more senior staff member every time we asked a question. The food proportions were minimal for the price. The seafood trio include only 3 medium grilled shrimp, 1 sliver of salmon, and 2 medium stuffed shrimp, for $30. At the end of the meal it took the server 45 minutes to correct bills and complete the transaction.
Very bad experience. The place was very noisy. The food was bad. The trout was burned and the server forgot to bring my husband’s meal. Very disappointed with this restaurant. Will not go back and will not recommend it.
The service & food were good while atmosphere relaxed. A gentleman got down on his knee & proposed to his girlfriend. A bonus happening for the evening. We eat @ the restaurant a few times a yr & the prices seemed to be much higher than 90 days ago.
I was disappointed in the choices for vegetable sides. All four of us had to customized our orders because we don't eat shell fish. My halibut was cooked perfectly but I didn't like green vinegary olives in my chopped salad and another person's fish was so raw it was almost swimming.
I probably won't be returning.
Just was not impressed with the food and the prices were very expensive for what you get. Ambiance was nice , but I would not return.

Service was slow with long wait periods. Soup came out before appetizer and waiter seemed confused by our objection. Suggest better training. Over all food was good and restaurant was nice.
We were celebrating a special 70th Birthday and had reserved a "booth" in advance. We enjoyed our food, but we were disappointed that we were not allowed to have a booth, because there were 6-adults and a 5 year old.
This was the best Anniversary yet. McCormick & Schmick’s is the cats Meow and has the greatest Atmosphere of any resturant in Atlanta’. And the food is without question top notch
First and last time we will visit this restaurant. So many issues, where to start...
-we arrived on time for our reservation, only to be told there's still a 1 hour wait. Interestingly, when we finally were seated, almost half of the tables were empty
-it took 15 and 25 minutes to get 2 drinks that we ordered via the waiter.
-it took 1 hour to get a refill of water.
-when the waiter took our order, he never asked how we wanted the steak cooked. It was about 10 minutes later that we realized it and called him over to discuss.
-the NY strip was thin like a skirt steak and covered in fat. A few areas of fat still not rendered down.
- the quality of food was consistent with an Outback or Longhorn, not what bills itself as a premium dining experience
Although our reservations were for 7:30, we didn't get seated until approx 8:30 and didn't receive our food until a quarter to 10pm. There was no offer for compensation. The food was overpriced and mediocre. This is my 3rd time coming to the Restaurant. I fell in love the first time I came; however, each time since has been a subpar experience. There won't be a 4th visit.

This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. The wait was ridiculous even with my reservation. The food was cold, hard, tacky and embarrassing. The potatoes were so hard they made a sound on the side of the dish. This dinner was a gift to my family but all they got was a lump of coal. It was the worst and the hostesses were not prepared to handle the overwhelming number of reservations. You should be trying to make customers for life instead of trying to make all the money. You probably lost a lot of money because I know several people who only paid part of their bills because it was horrible. I was highly embarrassed. Why would you have 900 reservations and accept walk ins?
They double booked for Christmas so with a reservation we had to wait almost two hours before being seated.
They said you over booked reservations and it was the worst nightmare I have ever seen. We were there almost 3 hours and never saw food. The table next to us received raw food. This was Christmas night and we finally left. I wanted something special for my children and grandchildren and they went home and we went to Waffle House. Absolutely terrible!. And they blamed it on Open Table. Never again will I use Open Table nor go to this restaurant.
We had a 5:00 p.m. Christmas Day Open Table reservation, and we were there on time. The moment we walked in, we knew there was a major problem, as the check in line was long and a huge number of people were waiting to be seated. It was an hour before we were taken to a table, a long time before even drinks and bread were served, and our appetizer did not arrive until 7:00 p.m., two hours after we got there. It is obvious that the restaurant greatly overbooked their tables, and their kitchen and wait staff simply could not keep up. While they called me twice to confirm the holiday reservation, they failed greatly on this occasion. All we heard for three full hours were apologies to everyone dining. While their food and service are usually good, we will never dine there again on a holiday!
We made a 4:45 reservation on Open Table in early December for Christmas Dinner at McCormick & Schmick/ Dunwoody, GA.
When we arrived this evening -- on time, the entire lobby was filled with people waiting to be seated. When we checked in, we were told that it would be a minimum 45-minute wait to be seated!!!!
When I asked why, I was told it was Open Table's fault because they didn't close off reservations when the restaurant asked them to!
Turns out, it seems the real reason according to the young man at the host/hostess stand was that the restaurant had called people who had dined with them on Christmas as far back as 2013 to see if they wanted to make a reservation for this year as well!!!!
I told them it was M&S's poor business practice of double-booking (in a sense) that had caused the problem and that they had transferred the problem to us. I also asked what the point was in making a reservation and showing up on time if the restaurant wasn't going to honor the reservation as made!
Our waitress was wonderful and working herself crazy to keep up with the room (as far as we could see, she was the only server on duty in the room). Most of our food was okay, but two of our four prime ribeye steaks were supposed to be medium rare, but arrived nearly raw (and cold in the centers) and had to be sent back to be cooked correctly.
This evening/meal certainly was not a $300+ experience. We will not be going back to M&S Dunwoody anytime soon, nor would we recommend it to anyone else!

Th wait time for Christmas day was 45mins to 1 hour and that was with reservations. The open table and McCormik and Schmick website allowed double booking. They need to work on the booking system instead if asking me to complete a review.
The restaurant overbooked for Christmas dinner - purportedly because Open Table never stopped assigning reservations despite being informed that every time slot and table had been booked - thus causing wait times of almost 2 hours for some people. The staff people were harried and stressed and some got rude due to obvious anxiety. The manager got much grief and no peace.
Fortunately the chefs and cooks came through. Great: calamari appetizer, pan seared sea scallops with risotto, king crab plate, steamed Atlantic lobster tails. Good: clam chowder, Pinot Grigio. Suffered: pommes frites that were left under heat lamps too long in the confusion.
And a few select waiters with calm experience kept food and wine flowing and nerves calm with great aplomb.
We’ll return on a non holiday and give the restaurant a second go.
We dined Christmas Day. Not sure what the problem was. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation and were told it would be a 20 minute wait. Even with a reservation we waited 45 minutes. It was difficult to even get a drink at the bar. We were at the bar when a table opened up behind us. I asked the reservation desk if we could sit there they said yes so we seated ourselves. When we left at 7 PM - there was a couple waiting to be seated - their reservation was for 5:30. DON’ T GO ON A HOLIDAY. I think they were overbooked and very short staffed. I will say the food was good but not worth the hassle of waiting to be seated and trying to get a drink. Once seated our app came pretty quickly but then we waited what seemed like forever to get our entrees. The bread pudding dessert was delicious. Won’t do this again. Next year we will head someplace else for dinner.
It was Christmas day and there were way overbooked. The halls were packed full of people like us with reservations waiting almost an hour to be seated. Eventually we did get a lovely table in a private area with a pleasant server. I think it is inconsiderate to book so much more than you can handle. A little champagne in the hallway doesn't do the trick
Entree served before appetizer. Appetizer was small. Service terrible.
The food was excellent. My compliments to the chef. The service was lousy. First, people who came in afterwards were served first. We did not see our server at all for 1/2 hour. I had to complain to the hostess.
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for NOTHING!!! And I meant nothing,not anything. At this price level ,my expectations and hopes were high. I was crushed. We use open table every holiday for our special treat. This was a disaster!!
Christmas Day. Reservations at 3pm made a month ago. Seated at 4:30. Kitchen was backed up. They either took too many reservations or too many walk ins or didn’t have enough staff.
They overbooked and stopped seatong. We chose to leave after a 2 hoir wait.
Our food was almost 2 HRs late , 2 orders out of 4 were wrong and no one even came to apologize or offer compensation very very disappointed!!
This is a great location. We had a beautiful view of the pond. The food was outstanding. Every was fresh and full of flavor. We went for Christmas Dinner. It was a great change of pace. I recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or it you Just have a taste for great fresh seafood at a reasonable price.
