Great restaurant. Waitress was knowledgeable and friendly
Great ambiance, fast service, and friendly staff. I’ll be sure to go back.
the staff was very friendly although, she wasn’t too knowledgeable of the menu. i’m pretty sure she was new but very sweet waitress. The manager was amazing and super helpful and friendly. i celebrated my husband birthday and the desert was wonderful.
We ate there in February and it was fantastic. I was looking forward to another great meal. The fettuccine noodles were hard and my sea scallops plate came with the wrong sides. Had to remind the waiter about bringing our drinks. Service was very slow.
The waiter was outstanding, food and desserts were great. Looking forward to coming back soon.
Slow seating even with reservations and quite a few visibly empty tables, but then a manager took control and everything clicked.
The actual service was perfect after that.
The food was excellent, but I apparently do not care for your crab cakes. That’s just me. They are different than what I expected. They sort of remind me of tuna salad, or an oyster dressing.
The ambiance was a bit noisy and dim for my preference, but I understand many like both.
My date and I ordered the chef special. I did not ask the price. Afterwards I saw that it was the ultimate “a la carte” ... each item was priced separately. I was expecting a $130 ish bill, but it was $220. It was very good, but I had very good the next night for around $100. That’s the basis of my value assessment.
Overall very good. I would certainly return, but I would explore other places first.
Stuffed salmon was AMAZING, but the portion was a little small and the service was slow. We were told the wait was over an hour unless we had reservations. We walked outside, booked a reservation on OpenTable for 15 minutes later, then walked back in and checked-in immediately... They had us stand and wait thr 15 minutes, just to be sat at the empty table that was "empty" when we first arrived 20 minutes prior.
Made a reservation and was seated immediately. Service was great and the staff was very knowledgeable. The food was excellent!!!
Poor service, un-attentive manager, a steak restaurant that is out of steak . . .. . . .worst dining experience in 10yrs, and unfortunately due to my outside sales role, I dine out frequently.
Very busy. Had a 7pm reservation and arrived a little early. Wasn’t seated until after 7:15
Waitress took forever to appear and must have had too many tables to service because it would be long periods of time before she would reappear.
Food was only warm when delivered and cut of meat was not what you expect for the price charged.
The restaurant was very busy. Service became slow despite our servers hard work and excellent care. Seemed like they possibly needed more teamwork or extra help. Hard to say. Could be possible they were short staffed as this is not typical of our previous experiences. Normally they get high marks across the board.
Main dining room became too loud for decent conversation. We had a table of 5 and no one could hear when the person across from them spoke. Restaurant was packed. Ambiance became hectic.
Pros: again our server was lovely and kind and friendly. Food was hot and well prepared and tasty. Will definitely be coming back and would still recommend this place but maybe not for business dinner.
Waited half an hour to be seated, reservations were for 6PM, seated at 6:30PM. Reception was cold and rude, couldn’t care less about not having table ready at six. Food was mediocre at best. Will NEVER eat there again! Management needs to wake up!
Waited 30 minutes before we even got drinks
Came here before the Kevin Heart show (lots of people had the same idea), reservations were for 5:15 PM, arrived at 5:08 was told we will be seated at 5:15. Walked back to the hostess at 5:15, was then told we were the last of the 5:15 reservations--was very confused by this statement; but the hostess said they had 4, 5:15 reservations and we were the last one. I wasn't sure was she referring to the 4th group arriving or the 4th people making the reservations at 5:15. Anyway we were finally seated around 5:35....the food was good, and our server was as well.
Found the food much better on this visit. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation. Food came out a bit slow, but was hot this visit. Waiter tended to be slow and took a long time for him to come back after delivering our plates.
Excellent service and the food is always excellent. Great place for larger parties.
Food was great!! Definitely will go again when visiting Atlanta.
Making a reservation is pointless. The hostesses were rude. We were seated at 8:45 for our 8:15 reservation. Our server was wonderful but they were so busy it took a long time to get our food and drinks.
First off.... We were seated 20-30 minutes after our reservation time. We only got one of our appetizers that we ordered AFTER we had received our dinner entrees, an hour & a half after we had ordered mind you. The clam chowder was cold and tasted like it came from a can (maybe it was a blessing we didn't receive the lobster bisque). Our food arrived all separate from the kitchen, so basically we didn't eat a meal together. When we got the bill we were getting charged for the food we never received. Then they forgot to bring our credit card back and we had to ask for it after waiting for a very long time. Basically we tolerated your terrible service for 3 hours and would not recommend this restaurant even to the bums outside.
I was meeting an old friend with her daughter. They were looking at Emory University as a possible college. I hadn't seen my friend in 15 years and wanted to make it special. McCormick's and Schmick's did us right
Darn good food and Amazing service. Loved muh fish
A little nervous to take our two young kids here for dinner but it was a great experience. We ordered bourbon glazed salmon, the mixed seafood plate, and the mac and cheese and spaghetti off the kids' menu-all of which were delicious! For dessert we ordered the chocolate bag (which the kids devoured!), the white chocolate bread pudding ( which I was hesitant about but it was delicious treat that was total comfort food done excellently) and the seasonal mocha cheesecake which was delicious but overshadowed by the other two. Overall our server was amazing, a table by the window offered great entertainment for our kids, and the food and drink were excellent. When returning to the area we would return to M&S.
Service was great but overall the quality of the food was a notch or two below what I’ve enjoyed in the past.
I like this restaurant but the service is so slow. When I come in for lunch (about 2-3x a year), the food takes ~30 minutes to be delivered. There were not that many tables with customers so I am wondering why preparing a salad and tacos take so long.
The wait staff are nice and are trying.
I enjoyed it but the front end staff was loud, immature, and did nothing to make me feel welcome. Ciara, my waitress was very very nice. She did not seem to associate with the misfits at the front. They allowed two street peddlers to walk in and solicit money while we dined—the manager intervened. You should call me about that foolishnish!
First the hostess seats us and has to remove a water glass due to some large piece of goo on the lip of the glass. My bread plate had small pieces of dried food on it and the remaining water glasses were sticky on the outside. The food arrived to quickly, it almost looked like planes lined up on a runway waiting for take off. We had to pile up our own dishes to make a space for the next dish. My daughter ordered a 6oz ($36) Filet and it was the ugliest and worst Filet ever. Our lunch was $110, no booze only tea and it honestly was worth about $30. Huge rip off.
The food was great but service was terribly slow. The place was nearly empty shortly after 11 am. There was no excuse for the delay in getting drink orders or refills. It also took a long time for our food to arrive. It wasn’t a bad experience but not the one I expected.
Food was just okay, for the price portion size could have been better.
Arrived early 15 mins prior to my reservations, host informed my party and I we will have to wait until our actual reservation time. We waited patiently as we were seated 20 mins after our reservations. We unfortunately had to ask the manager why were waiting - especially since there were SEVERAL empty tables available. After we asked the question - the manager seated us. Thereafter, the waiter was efficient and very polite. However, truly disappointed at the host table service - as the two were gossiping at their podium and not paying attention to the guests ( others were waiting as well) that were standing and waiting to be seated. I am hoping this is the first and last time having such an experience, as I like ATL McCormick’s .
Made reservation but waited 10-15 minutes to sit. Plenty of tables empty. I don’t think they had enough help.
The service was extremely slow.. We had reservations and it took an additional 15 minutes to seat us, not to mention the restaurant was not full.. I ordered a drink from the bar before ordering my food and it did not arrive until, I was almost done eating!!!!! I will never go back..
Service was impeccable. Food was delicious.
Alexandria took great care of us, arriving at our table immediately after being seated and checking on us frequently. The food was delicious and the chocolate basket with white chocolate mouse and fresh berries decadent. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was mediocre! We were not impressed, and for the price, the food was average! The service was excellent!
Heard about this place for a while and decided to go have dinner. I had the fried calamari for appetizer and the mahi for dinner, it was Ok; not the best and not the worst...
Didn’t appreciate having to wait 15 minutes past reservation time to be seated.
Great food and excellent service.
First let me say our actual server was amazing! Everything else about our experience was terrible. We checked in for a 1pm reservation at 12:50 and the lead hostess was incredibly rude. She literally made us stand there until 1:00pm exactly before she’d check us in and the restaurant was easily on 50% full. She was also extremely rude to virtually everyone that walked in the door. Her attitude floored us. Once we were checked in, we stood there for another 20 minutes before she sat us. When we inquired about how much longer it would be (again, half the restaurant was empty) she snapped back at us to the point we almost left then had we not been STARVING. She talked down to everyone and wouldn’t even look at you when you spoke to her. She rolled her eyes at us and other customers on several occasions and didn’t even attempt to hide it. No one was even rude to her! I work in customer service and if I saw my employee treating customers like that, she’d be fired on the spot.
Once we were finally seated, our waiter was very friendly. He brought our drinks and bread out promptly because he knew how hungry we were. It took over 30 minutes for our salad/soups to arrive. We then sat there over an HOUR for our food. At that point the restaurant was only 20% full. The waiter repeatedly apologized to us and kept checking on the status of our food. He said he didn’t understand what was taking so long. You could hear staff members in the kitchen loading cussing and gossiping throughout the dining room.
The food was OK. My soup was definitely not worth the $18 price tag and they were out of several things we wanted.
Bottom line, we probably wouldn’t return. The fact that they allow such rudeness and unprofessional behavior in that type of atmosphere is unacceptable. It’s such a shame because I raved about how good it was to my coworkers and we could’ve just grabbed a sandwich at the CNN foodcourt and had a better experience. (And spent about $150 less)
Took an hour and twenty minutes to get our food for a business lunch. Not the best moment from a M&S location. The server just kept telling us the food would be out in 15-20 mins and then when our food was delivered the runner stated she hated working during conventions because they end up comping more food and they don’t make any money. Pretty much deflated the meal experience for me and my colleague. The food was excellent once delivered but otherwise left me highly unsatisfied.
