McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Atlanta (CNN Center)
i really enjoyed the great food and service. i will continue to come to mcCormick and and schmidt seafood restaurant at cnn center.
Excellent service and the food was great.
This is a place where you come in with high expectations. We were not disappointed. Curiously, the slowest thing about the evening was that the hostess was not at her station. It wasn't a real long time, but there's usually someone there waiting to check people in. We had reservations for 6:45, got there early, no problem getting seated. Our section was fairly empty. Server was delightful. Everything came at the right time. Food was delicious. No rush to leave, and we enjoyed the entire evening there.
My ribeye was thin and over done. Too loud.
We had a good dinner and the service was good.
Our overall experience was fantastic. We were there to celebrate our anniversary
Overall a decent meal. Nothing spectacular and nothing bad. The sourdough loaf smelled amazing and was a good bread start. I would have liked more horseradish (or better horseradish) in the cocktail sauce for the shrimp cocktail as it was almost undetectable.
All of the entrees came very quickly and were served hot and fresh. Very very consistent and would definitely recommend the sea bass with herb broth and the blackened mahi with andouille potatoes.
If you want a good, consistent, quick meal, this is it. If you want something special and unique, this isn't your place.
Service was very slow. Food was OK, but not worth the prices payed for. Would not recommend since there are much better choices in downtown Atlanta.
Very slow service & food came out lukewarm, I spoke with the manager $3 was removed from my bill
I took my wife here for a birthday dinner just before a comedy concert. The staff was great and very knowledgeable about the menu. Wife had the stuffed salmon and I went with the ribeye. We were absolutely pleased. I also tried the Toasted and Smoked drink that was made tableside. Great experience.
My food was disappointing as many times as I’ve been to this restaurant I’ve never been disappointed by the food until this visit. The shrimp was overcooked, the top of the creme brûlée was burnt not golden as it should be. I couldn’t get the server to refill my water. It was very disappointing.
The waiter Cj wasn’t a people person at all, or maybe he was just having a bad day which isn’t an excuse at all. He showed extreme poor customer service. The lobster tails were excellent but the steak was ok.
I remember when McCormick and Schmick's was an excellent seafood restaurant. Under Landry's "leadership," it has transformed itself into an incredibly average, middle-of-the-road shadow of its former self. We won't be returning.
Amazing food and great atmosphere
A great restaurant I do not get to enjoy very much. Our table was ready when my party of seven arrived. We had a wonderful waitress. The food was outstanding. It was early on a weekday evening and the restaurant was quiet. Everything about the experience was enjoyable.
Adriana was an excellent server. I was unhappy with the preparation of my food and she was great in communicating with the kitchen, mgr and myself to rectify the issue.
The food was good although my memory and past experience has been higher than this rating; the service was o.k. but took too long for food and frequent follow-ups were non-existent. The Staff was very nice and helpful to each other, too. Just wish my husband's first time experience and my return was better.
Disappointing. Discovered that they validated parking in a certain lot only AFTER I paid $20 in another lot - they had no signage directing you where to go. Once we were seated, we found the noise level high even though the place was nearly empty.
I had the filet and stuffed shrimp - while the shrimp was good, it wasn’t anything phenomenal. While the filet was the proper temperature, it was dry as a bone. When I go to a steak house, I expect them to make a steak that’s better than what I can make at home.
We won’t be going back.
Great food, a little on the pricey side but good value overall.
Excellent! Glad we made reservations cause ALT was very busy and slammed full of people! We were seated right on time.
Olympic marathon trial completion!!
We found it odd that they have a policy to not seat you until the actual reservation time. We arrived about 10 minutes early and there were at least 12-15 tables open. Interestingly the unapologetic and partially rude hostess still waited until a few minutes beyond our actual time to seat us. Food was above average but in all my years of going out to eat, I have never experienced such a policy.
The service was good. The rule that you must be seated for Happy Hour deals is poor. We arrived early and wanted a drink but all bar seats were filled. We simply spent less because we were irritated. The tuna appetizer was too spicy to be enjoyed. The description should be clear. The Brussels sprouts side had 2 Brussels and a mound of potatoes. Unacceptable. Brussels sprouts with potatoes should have a higher ratio of Brussels sprouts to potatoes.
I heard nothing but good things about this place but didn't have the positive experience that I was assured of. My food was cold.. my dates food was swapped with the table next to us and she was lied to about what kind of steak she had received. The waiter also tried to tell her what to order as if she didn't know what she wanted.. it was just a bad experience all around.. even the two tables next to ours had multiple issues. Maybe it was just a bad night for that particular section.
Group of friends celebrating a week of amazing meetings. This was the perfect place to talk and enjoy amazing food friends and service.
It was me and my boyfriend’s two year anniversary and we had never been. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was phenomenal.
Service was pretty bad.. the waiter gave us bread when we were almost finished with the meal. Took forever to get drink refills.
They shouldn’t seat reservations in the bar at night because we literally had to yell at each other to hear and still couldn’t hear very well. Everything is great and great if you don’t have to sit in the bar...with a reservation.
The restaurant is pleasing to the eye, however, the food was not of the quality one would think for a restaurant of this caliber. My lobster tails were over cooked and my husband's vegetables were hard and cold. The waitress did bring new vegetables for him, but it took awhile. The waitress was fine, but very busy. Our drinks did not get refilled at all until the end of the meal. for the price, I would skip this one again.
Service was lacking. Took an hour to get our meal.
Five of us ate dinner starting at about 9 pm. Wait staff was superb. Food very good.
Lobster tails were tiny!!!! My guess they are buying 4-6oz and most of box is 4oz... Step it up guys!! Lobster was over cooked too. Alaskan king crab legs were half the size(diameter) i would expect a a place like this... All in all not worth the price. I wont be returning again.
The service was VERY poor. I did not receive a refill. The server forgot to bring the condiment I requested until I was half way done eating. Server was overall just not attentive and stared taking care of another large party. Notified management but he did not comp any part of the bill or offer something free.
Fish was overcooked. Wait staff was not knowledgeable about the menu.
Great environment! The atmosphere was cozy and comfy. My pasta was slightly uncooked but I enjoyed the dining experience.
Great atmosphere. Professional staff and amazing food!!
Clam Chowder was delicious, you can cut the fillet with a fork and the asparagus was delicious. Waitstaff is very attentive and very pleasant. Eat there every time I’m in town and I’ve never been disappointed!
I drove 45 min to eat here and looked at the menu online. When I got there I was given a limited event menu as they said it would allow them to make it faster and it took long and was cold. Both my husband and I did not feel well that night from the food.
Food was great, service from both the host and our server (Monique) was spectacular. Restaurant was very nice and we’ll definitely come again. However, the one small detail I’ll negatively comment on is the tear open pre-packaged honey my wife received for her tea - we felt based on a restaurant like M&S they would provide honey in a nicer container.
