Veterans Day Dinner. Our server, Mercedes, was excellent. Although we had a prefix menu, she offered other items off of the food and drink menu. We added an appetizer to our dinner and a table side drink. It was a great dining experience!
Everything was outstanding.
The food was exceptional and the service was great!
Two out of five meals came back cold. My steak was so cold there was just a lump of butter sitting on top that clearly could not melt as they intended. The vegetables were RAW, you could not even cut them. When we told our serve and the manager about our food they said they would recook it. We waited over 30 minutes for our food to be made- my filet was to be cooked rare so not sure why that took 30 minutes. By the time it came out the rest of our party had already finished eating. The service was fair and when the meal finally came out hot it was good. I used to work in fine dining, and this should have been something that was prevented before the food was even placed in front of the customer- you could tell just by looking and not to mention feeling the plate the food was cold!
From our wait staff to the food it was a fantastic experience! Our salmon was perfectly cooked! Dining at McCormick & Schmidt's was a perfect prelude to the Hawks' game! Go Hawks
Leadership issues for sure. Lack of coordination between bar, servers and food prep. No food runners. 20min for dinner drinks. Food came out quick, great quality. Needs organization, which starts at the top.
Our teens both hated their salads. The dressing was really old tasting, and my king crab legs were very over cooked. No drink refills. Server was friendly but very busy. There is a hidden incline under the carpet and an old man fell in front of us and not a single staff person came to help him. Just wasn’t awesome. Would I come back? Yes likely because we stay at the CNN center often and it’s right there but not because it’s great food.
Anniversary dinner - excellent reception, excellent food, excellent service... 5 stars
Amazing food and drinks in quiet, relaxing setting.
Our server Misty was great!!! Prompt and polite, very helpful.
Made reservations 6 months ago to celebrate my birthday and seeing Elton John. Stayed at the Omni. Server was a bit forgetful with things we asked for. My husband ordered the ribeye that he ordered med and it was tough and overlooked served with what we thought were fingerling potatoes that were rock hard. Told the server and he said they were beets. I’m not sure he knew his vegetables but either way they were basically served alongside the steak raw. I ordered lobster and it was decent, not great. Not sure if we’ll be back since theirs so many other restaurants in ATL that are exceptional! If I were to rate our dinner from 1-10, I would give it a 3. That’s being generous.
Food was excellent once my steak was cooked correctly. Our waiter was fantastic and the manager came by and offered a free dessert for the steak screw up.
Would like to see the full menu offered during events as there are so many good items not on the event menu list:)
I am new to this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! It wasn’t chain food fare. Presentation and taste were excellent. Our server was phenomenal. If you’re going to be in the Centennial Park / State Farm Arena area, put this restaurant on your go-to list.
Had a reservation and waited 30 for a table. Ordered food and drinks and after another 30 minute wait, we left. Awful experience!!
We so enjoyed the dinner. The waitress was outstanding. Had a wonderful time!!!
My waiter was amazing! Impeccable, friendly service and he asked some questions up front RE food preferences, whether we were in a hurry, etc. so he could tailor our dining experience to meet our needs. Very impressed. I will be back.
I surprised my boyfriend with this restaurant to top off the evening and he loved it! We loved the wedge salad, coconut shrimp, chicken fettuccine dish along with the 2 lobster tails and filet mignon. The food was amazing. Our server had an awesome sense of humor. The ambiance was very romantic and fine. Definitely see a return to this restaurant!
Mediocre restaurant attached to the Omni and CNN Center. Food is okay but not great, service pleasant but slow, and the room is noisy. There are better choices in the area.
Best Filet I’ve had so far! Nice atmosphere and great servic!
Excellent food and great drinks. The jalapeño shaved ice is to die for. Can’t wait to go back.
The food and service was amazing!!!!
Heading to a concert. Kudos to our server (can’t recall his name, but we were seated in the outdoor section), who took care of us this evening, in a very gentle and respectful fashion, yet fun. He was very knowledgeable and willing to work the extra mile to make us feel welcomed, and satisfied with our visit.
Was a great dining experience. Waitress was great and didn't miss a beat. Their customer service policies are the best I've ever had at a restaraunt; quick and precise. Thanks again!
Our last stop each year before a late-night flight. Dependably good food and great service.
We were a party of 6 and we were there for three hours, what does that tell you, then once food was finally delivered one dish was wrong , by the time that dish was finally brought to the table everyone else was done with their meal, many empty tables so no excuses for saying they were busy
I ordered the Tuna which came out in two pieces first pieces was cool inside cooked prepared okay second piece was warm and over cooked. My dish was not the only disappointment. Not sure what the problem was since the last visit was a positive experience.
We waited over 50 minutes for our food. We all ordered steaks and when we got them they were just warm. This not the most expensive steakhouse I’ve been to but I expect the steak to be hot.
Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Would like menu expanded.
One of the best experiences I have had. Service and food was excellent.
My wife and I enjoyed an absolutely wonderful meal there prior to the Carrie Underwood concert. Winston did a great job of answering our questions and making certain our time was fabulous!
The fish sandwich wasn’t up to the normal standards of McCormick & Schmick.
Very nice service my wife and I enjoyed the service and the food was delicious. Still continue to be one of ours favorite dining restaurant.
first time their and will be going back for sure. that says it all
We had a trainee waiter who was clearly having on the job training rather than having any behind the scenes training or even having any previous waiting experience. That said, he was pleasant and chatty and we accepted that everyone has to learn (to write stuff down if you can't remember it rather than keep coming back to check with us, to top up the bread without being asked, where to put wine glasses rather than plonking them in the middle of the table setting....). His superviser seemed to pay some attention to his training role initially but then got distracted. Sadly, our trainee waiter finished his shift after the appetizers were delivered.
Our entrees arrived without any break at all. The swordfish steak wasn't like swordfish (typically dark, meaty and with a distinctive taste) whereas what was delivered was white, flaky fish. When I questioned our waiter he checked with the kitchen and was told it was as we had ordered. We then sat with dirty plates whilst half a dozen members of staff swept the floor, organised stuff around us and generally ignored us... and the restaurant was less than half full all whilst our waiter served the next table with a bubble cocktail from a trolley with a superviser stood next to him who, again, ignored our dirty plates. We even had to top up our own wine and water. We sat for longer with dirty plates than it took for our appetizers and entrees to arrive!
When we finally distracted a completely different waitress for the bill and asked again about the swordfish she abruptly stated that "if you ordered the swordish and that's what is written on the check, then that's what you got".... we were stunned.
We paid the $150 check (a G&T, one bottle of wine, no deserts) with NO TIP which we've never done before and left vowing to never go back.
In summary, the service was terrible and the best food ordered in a restaurant renowned for fish and seafood was the beef!!
They were OUT OF STEAK. Seriously-at 8pm on. Thursday. I settled for the scallops, which were hockey pucks. I felt so sorry for our waitress, who was great.
The Noise is horrific, if you want to go for a business lunch or dinner go somewhere else. Food was served 1 hour after ordering, 20 mins into ordering the filets they returned to tell us Filets are not available. I ordered Scallops that were like Rubber. The server was nice and attentive without being intrusive. Did I mention the noise.
My wife and my business associates wife enjoyed their Salmon but all 4 of us had to practically yell to each other to engage in conversation. My scallops were terrible, my associates New York steak was ok but not cooked to his liking. Definitely not the place I thought it would be. First impressions make me never want a second one. I hope your experience may be better.
Understaffed at the host hotel
For a large industry event that attends Atlanta every 3 years.
Ran out of steaks for a 6:45 reservation, no filets, no ribeyes.
Very shocking and an utter disappointment as we attempted to entertain clients at a nice restauarnt close to the hotel, and because of this, the experience was nothing short of disappointing.
Had reservations for 6:15, was finally seater at 7:05. Waiter can to table 3 times. Drink, food delivery and I had to track down for drinks.
The Food and restaurant were all excellent and our waitress Misty was absolutely outstanding! she is a model of what the ideal server should be.
Outstanding Dinner as Always. Food & Service was Exceptional. Special Shout to the Assistant Manager “Sharon”. She made our Special Occassion very Memorable. Always a pleasure dinning there.
