McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Atlanta (CNN Center)
Book your next event with us
We dined here Monday afternoon after the lunch crowd so it wasn't busy at all. Our food & service was excellent!
Birthday dinner for me. Waitress was very nice and helpful. She was friendly and chatty.
Service was outstanding. Food not so great. Calamari was hard as a rock. NY strip was cold and as good as a Ponderosa steak. Very disappointed.
Best food and service of many fine restaurants we have visited in months!
Great food & service! Friendly staff with a family atmosphere! Highly recommended!
We enjoyed a delicious relaxing meal after a busy day at the Gift Mart!
Beef medallions were not flavored well and the meat quality wasn’t as good as a breakfast steak you’d get from a diner. Chef special was bouillabaisse- again low quality, fishy tasting and no seasoning. Atlanta is a great city and you can certainly find better than this.
Delicious food and the staff was very accommodating when we had to change the reservation and add someone last minute. Make a great Old Fashioned.
We are repeat customers. The staff is always wonderful and the food was divine! Thank you for always making our dining experience enjoyable!
It was awesome!
Had a confirmed 6:45 reservation using the Open Table App. We were a party of 2 so nothing that would cause a delay. We were seated at 7:05
Waiter filled an entire full water glass on me. My pants were soaked.
I want return.
It was a great experience! It was packed when we arrived but our wait was only long enough to get a drink from the bar. The six of us were seated in a private alcove area, and the service and food could not have been any better! I would highly recommend and wish we had one in Savannah, even with all the great seafood restaurants we have!
Very good food...but had terrible service. Tables around us flipped 2-3 times while we waited. Took 10 minutes for a server to even greet us, then another 30 to get drinks. We had to ask her twice about them. We sat with empty water glasses and bread while people came in after us were served promptly...they were getting their checks before we got our food. We won’t be back. Disappointing because we really looked forward to a nice dinner with friends.
Our waitress was fabulous. She was knowledgeable and helpful. Dinner was delicious. The stuffed salmon was cooked properly and the portion was spot on
The food was underwhelming and overpriced. Seafood tasted like it wasn't super fresh and some was overcooked. Favors were either lacking all together, or sides overpowering the main course. It was almost completely empty on the weekend so the place was quiet. Our server was ok and friendly.
Mercedes took very good care of us and the food was delicious.
Amazing food and great service!!! Would definitely recommend and would love to go back!
very good service. food reasonable a bit overpriced for quality
Very impressed and really enjoyed myself. Great food and service.
Great evening, with great food and service to match.
Our dinner was amazing. The atmosphere was elegant. Perfect spot for a special family dinner.
Within minutes of arriving it was obvious that McCormick & Schmick's is a complete sham of a restaurant that is only around because of its convenient location. That is all there is to it.
The service was terrible. I rarely remark on service as I have worked in the industry and understand that a lot goes into providing good service. But this was truly remarkably bad.
We showed up a couple minutes before our reservation. No big deal as we did not expect to be seated early. However, we waited more than 10 minutes AFTER our reservation at the hostess stand. The restaurant was not overly busy so not sure why they left us waiting so long. Anyways we stayed and figured we might as well give it a try.
Once we were seated, it took over 5 minutes to even get the server to come to our table. Kind of crazy to me to have customers sitting at the table with no water but ok.
The server comes over and he was unprofessional. We asked about McCormick & Schmick's famous Happy Hour and he said we would have to sit in the bar section to order off of the Happy Hour menu. The server did not offer for us to move to the bar section. No big deal. But honestly, I am in the restaurant seated at the time of Happy Hour. So you are saying because of where I am seated, I am suppose to pay $14 for Calamari when the people seated near me in the bar section pay $7.50? I don't think so.
We ordered two appetizers and left. I can't imagine spending anymore money here as the food was just ok and the service was horrendous. I left McCormick & Schmick's feeling like they did not want my business. No worries to me as there are a lot of choices nearby that offer a far superior experience.
Food was mediocre, especially for the price. NY strip was good, but that's it...good. The Crab and shrimp stuffed salmon was good, but served barely warm.
The way our server approached the table I thought he was the guy who just brings water ... Did not introduce himself until he was about to walk away for the first time.
I made dinner reservations & was on time but we were not seated until 30 minutes later. Our food took a long time & the server was pleasant but extremely busy so the service was subpar.
The server was excellent and the food was amazing.
It was my first time at the restaurant and we appreciate the staff and the overall experience. It was very loud in the restaurant but I can tell that everyone was enjoying the food.
We were not impressed by the service or the food. We sat and waited for our server for over 10 minutes before being offered water by another server. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The drinks didn't make
to us until the middle of the meal. My wife's steak was brought out and we waited again for a steak knife that was eventually brought out to us by another server. They were busy, but the level of service and the food did not meet our expectations. I asked for salt and pepper and the young lady returned with paper packets of salt and pepper. I guess it was just a bad night for them.
My wife and I had a anniversary dinner and it was nice one of our favorite restaurant.
Superb service, even during peak times. Food consistently good.
Good food and good service Seated us on time Really good location to eat after game at Mercedes Benz stadium
Service and location after a game in the Georgia Dome was excellent. Our waitress was the best. We were told that they were out of the crab claws. We ordered a bottle of wine that was out of stock and the first entrée, clam chouder, was not available either so we settled for the lobster bisque which was excellent. After that the food went downhill. The mixed grill was two small grilled shrimp, another two small grilled shrimp with about a tablespoon of bread stuffing, two good scallops and about a 3 to 4 ounce piece of overcooked salmon. We also ordered the 8 ounce filet which was ok but ordered medium and overcooked. Overall it was not bad, just not anything special.
We were so pleased with everything about the restaurant since it was just after the Peach Bowl we were unsure about the reservation. It all came off without a hitch.
Excellent food and just what my wife and I were looking for. Great staff and a fun time. Mixed seafood grill was the best choice and really liked everything on the plate. DJ was a great waiter.
Made a reservation for lunch before the peach bowl. It took 30 minutes to get seated and was disappointed To have a limited menu. The restaurant was very understaffed. There was no excuse for being understaffed as it was a popular bowl game day. I will not go back to that restaurant when I am attending an event in that part of Atlanta.
Service was excellent
Good thing we had a reservation through OpenTable or else we would have waited over an hour. With that said, the place was loud and the service was slow. Due to the special event weekend, the menu was pared down so our choices from their website were not available. Not a good start but carry on! Fresh raw oysters were teeny weeny, unworthy of the price paid for each. My choice of salad was incorrect upon presentation and the correct one didn't get served until the check came (which was then refused). The trio of crabcake, stuffed shrimp and salmon were good as well as my husband's ribeye steak. But something seemed off and then it occurred to me that I thought we had dinner plans at a Smith & Wollensky of which there is no comparison. Thus, my less than stellar review reflects a satisfactory experience with a reflection of disappointment.
My family and i go out to eat on a regular basis. We primarily eat at fine dining restaurants. This has to be the WORST service I have received in recent memory. Did not get acknowledged by our waitress for over 20 minutes (& that was after I asked
The hostess to find out who our waiter/tress was and send them to us). Did not receive the starter bread until I requested,.. once again to the hostess because I could not find our waitress. Would not go this restaurant ever again.
Our service was good despite the fact that we never received our salads or bisque options before our entrees came out. The food was just okay for the price. My crab cakes looked charred, green beans a bit hard and rice was not very hot. All this to say, I had actually ordered the crab cake app, NOT the entree so I wasn’t even looking forward to those sides. Our waiter was super nice, but he didn’t write anything down when we ordered. Maybe that could have helped the cause. Overall, this location is not what I have remembered of McCormick & Schmicks, and I will not be back.
Wait staff was amazing.
