McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I were celebrating Valentine's at one of our favorite restaurants. We had drinks and appetizers at the bar then greeted by the manager by name.
The as appetizer was clump crab cake that was delicious. We were seated in the back where they have it reserved for meetings. It wasn't the place I wanted but being Valentine's, can't complain too much.
Dinner was great but we had a minor problem with one of the entrée but our server fixed that very quickly.
No dessert, too full...(A good thing).
To be fair, we went on Valentine's day. Our service was wonderful & our cocktails were wonderful. My oysters were wonderful. That said, for the price, our entrees were lacking and the entire meal took a very long time. I had the scallops, the rice was undercooked. My husband had the crab, which was good, but the potatoes it came with seemed like an afterthought. I'd love to go for the happy hour, but won't be back for a full on meal again. A bit disappointed.
The only real issue is the service. The restaurant was about 3/4 full yet it took a half hour to get a drink, an hour for the appetizer and an hour and a half for food. I am sure it wasn't tha waiters fault, he just had too many stations. Food is great just not enough help.
there seems construction work under way upstairs/downstairs or nearby. there was intermittent vibration of the dining table in the room, which serving people were unaware of ... car parking was valid for only one hour and I had to pay $3. not pleasant feelings.
Wife’s fish was overdone to point of being rubbery. Took long time to get servers attention, at least 5 to 10 min during which time we asked a 2 passing staff to find our server. Offered to replace with another, which took so long to show up that I was completely done with my meal. In retrospect we also had to ask for spoons and lemons. Secluded booth was nice, but allowed server to ignore us.
I grew up with the first McCormick's in Portland and also love their restaurant in Seattle. I pick the Anaheim location because M&S seems to be meticulous with sourcing their first. To a Northwester, a lot of "fresh" fish in California isn't very fresh. M&S flies it in.
I was there during a big convention and the noise level was pretty high, understandably.
Their wine list could use a bit more depth and a few more wines by the glass but is overall a good value.
I was disappointed with their service.
Our table’s person in charge took orders mistakenly and served wine roughly.
Eventually we were charged 20% gratitude automatically .. Even if we were seven ,kind of big group but, To be honest, her service doesn’t deserve very much.
Celebrated at McCormick's & Scmick's for my 50th with my family and in-laws. We all had a great time and the food was great! It was our first time at this location, but I'll bet the staff is always on their "A" game! They took care of us and appreciated us joking with them!
It was good but not as expected. We always visit the restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Today was not as enjoyable and satisfying. It seems that the service was not as attentive. We requested for more bread with our appetizer and it came when the appetizers were all gone. I asked to substitute my mashed potatoes with rice and it was mushy and inedible. My wife had to ask and wait for her iced tea instead of being refilled automatically.
We've been to McCormick and Schmick's at other locations - Las Vegas, Pasadena and San Francisco. This was our 1st time at the Anaheim Restaurant. We were seated in room to the right of main dining room. Our Server was Tony. To begin with the music in the room was blasting. It was so loud it was annoying. I asked our waiter if the same music was provided throughout the restaurant and he said yes. My next question was does it need to be this loud. He agreed it was loud and went to switch on the wall and turned it down. Restaurant s like McCormick's don't need to have Hip Hop Music Blasting throughout the room. Food as always was very good. I think for us we were disappointed in being seated in room adjacent to main dining room, when seats were available in Main room. The view form room was of the Traffic on Katella Ave which was a turnoff. The music and view of Katella Ave - caused my evening to be insignificant.
This was our first time here.....seeing Yelps reviews some of them I think that some people either do not know how to review or are too picky. First of all the hostess were quite attentive and seated us even though we were early on New Years Eve. I found the price of the food not as pricey as some had said the decor was very nice and its location in the Garden Walk was nice we noticed the outdoor dining area and will surely come to dine outdoors when the weather is better..The service our server was bright and cheerful and knowledgeable in the menu the food was excellent I had the swordfish Cajun grilled and the better half had the fish and chips which she said were outstanding and since she likes fish and chips she should know. My dinner was excellent and of the right size for the price. This is a place to go for any occasions other than night to night dinning We will be back many times and hopefully will experience the same wonderful dinner and night out....We tend to go out 4 to 5 times a week for lunch or dinner and have been to many restaurants over the past ten years of dinning
we were going to House of Blues and this was close to the venue. Our waitress Samantha was excellent. She took care of our drinks and expedited our order. The hamburger was definitely on the greasy side with lots of cheese and butter (?). Otherwise the ambience was very nice. We had a booth for the 4 of us and that was great.
