McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
From fresh seafood and shellfish to aged steaks and garden fresh salads, our goal is to exceed your dining expectations.
As our guest you will experience culinary excellence at its best. Our menus reflect seafood from the Pacific Rim, Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. We also source products from local ranches, farms and wineries to showcase regionally inspired dishes.
A distinctive feature of our restaurant is our beautiful bar area that offers you a comfortable environment from which to enjoy a wide variety of wines, beers, classic drinks and trendy cocktails.
We dined on the 18th of March 2020 right when all the other restaurants shut down due to the "Corona"...
We were greeted by Chris who was delighted to see us as the turnout was nil. He was so nice and attentive, so we just relaxed and enjoyed the attention we got with no other guests present. So sad about the situation with so many being impacted by the unknown future. Our prayers are with our country and our fellow Americans that this virus will be overcome and things will come back to normal. As for Mc&S, we will be back! Keep on doing it right. Michael & Teresa
The food and drinks ordered were all wonderful. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very understanding of several modifications to our Open Table reservation due to Disney schedule change. We had a wonderful meal.
This is one of the last bastions of a McCormicks restaurant in California. It is well appointed and old school. The food is decent but a far cry from its glory days of the 1990's. The menu is dramatically cut down. It has benefits to being simpler, but choices are thin.
Still it holds some of its old customs (i.e. the freshly baked french bread loaves, the dark mahogany panelled walls) without realizing that it is a trend gone by.
I would recommend the establishment to others but cautioned them as to the cost of dinner and other items. It seems that for the price, the costs is not competitive with other similar restaurants in the area.
Jeff was an amazing waiter. The service was amazing. We enjoyed our dinner.
Everything was great. The service was par excellance. The waiter Chris was very attentive. He even noticed that I am a veteran and acknowledged that. I was very appreciative. All in all a very great experience
This was our second visit to the McCormick and Schmick's at Anaheim's Gardenwalk center; we left fairly disappointed and wishing we had eaten elsewhere. The food was good, and we have no complaints there, but the service was less than desirable. The team member taking care of our table was also training a new employee. Our reservation was for 5:00 p.m.; there were four or five other tables with occupants while we were eating. Unfortunately, the employee providing the training was either distracted or considered the training elements to be a higher priority than serving their assigned table(s). My wife and four year old ending up leaving after waiting 15 minutes or so for a check. I stayed behind and another waiter asked "sir, is everything ok here?" I simply responded it would be great if we could get a "check." After another 7 or 8 minutes, our team member returned with a check and smile; first time I had seen them since our food was delivered. We felt like an afterthought. Life happens and people have bad days, but this particular experience was not positive for us.
great food service and most importantly wine - on the pricey side
Had 7 o'clock reservations was sat on time. Restaurant was not that busy took about 10mins to get water we ordered our food drinks and an appetizer . 20 mins later we got our app. About 30mins in my wife went up to fro t desk to ask for our drinks. We finally got 2 glasses of wine, but still needed a child's apple juice and a lemon drop and just a coke. Took another 5 to 10 minutes to get those. Our food came out around the same time. But we were still never brought the bread that waiter had promised so we had to ask for that agian. For this price point you expect a high level of service. There was no level of service here. Would not go back to this location.
Staffing was short. Took a long time for dinner to arrive and the drinks. Waiter offered a dessert- that’s nice. Great steak..
Service was excellent, food exceeded expectations.
Very busy night for dining p, but restaurant managed to keep up with the crowds, seating and food. We enjoyed a relaxing meal in private alcove. Our server was beyond good, one of the best. She kept her cheery demeanor and excellent footwork. I like the teamwork aspect of service. Our water glasses kept filled, servers suggestions were excellent and food, crab cakes, clam chowder and dessert were excellent also. We had reservations bad they accommodated our request for quiet table. We were part of the Convention Center crowd and ate here twice. seafood is the best quality and food preparation and service very good. Always a destination when we are in Anaheim.
Our waitress was amazing! Thank you Lisa! #alsoanamazingbartender
Service was slow and desultory. We were seated for twenty minutes without a waiter stopping by. After inquiring of the hostess a waiter eventually came to the table to say he had heard we'd been waiting awhile. It was forty minutes before we had even had water to drink.
Love everything about this restaurant. Always consistant. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Never disappointed,
Excellent food the welcoming team needs improvement!
We took our entire family after a day filled with the Great Wolf Lodge water park. Service was fast and food was great. Everyone was tired but wanted a nice meal and that's exactly what we received.
Everything was wonderful.I totally enjoyed the food and service.
Expected higher end service and food from this brand. Everything was average more like a fast casual experience. Our server refused to clear extra place settings because it was too much work for her. Not impressed at all. No wonder the place was empty. Disappointing.
I've been wanting to eat here for a while, I was underwhelmed. It wasn't horrible, just "mehhh." I doubt I'd make another trip here. 😕
Food was good, our dishes and glasses were dirty. They quickly handled it and moved us too a better spot. Best Paloma ever here.
Service and food was great! What made it better was our server, who I unfortunately forgot his name but he was the server with the awesome Nightmare Before Christmas tattoos.
He recommended the shrimp kisses as an appetizer, which was soo good! He checked up on us every few minutes and had the greatest upbeat attitude. My partner and I were really happy with the service and the food was delicious (filet mignon/lobster tails and stuffed salmon). Although we are tourists who live 8 hours from Anaheim, we will definitely visit when we come back to visit again.
The staff was friendly and courteous.
Despite our reservation, which admittedly was last minute, we still had to wait 15 - 20 minutes for a table upon arrival.
My wife's steak was under-prepared. She had ordered her steak medium to medium-rare, but when it came it was extremely rare, in fact, I would say it was nearly raw inside, and had to be sent back for more cook time.
Overall, I would not say it was a pleasant dining experience and if I had to do it over again, I would likely choose a different option.
Hostess was short and curt, not very welcoming
Reservation for 7pm sat finally at 7:22 after having to go back up and say something, and then was told they were running behind. No offer of a glass of wine or anything.
Server never took extra settings from table of 4 (we were 2) from table
We shared salad and server did not bring plates, we used our bread plates.
Opentable was great as I was able to reserve a table which cut the waiting time. However, once we got seated it took 10mins to get service. Then the server never came back with our drinks. Not even water was brought to our table until my husband made a complaint which by then was 20 mins into our dining time. GM try to accommodate our stay but we were so turned off we left. For a nice restaurant you expect better service but this was not the case! Never again would I go there.
If I make a reservation at the specific time. I am expect to be seated at the scheduled time I arrive 10 minutes before and I was seated after one hour prior my reservation And the dinner was very important for my wife we were celebrating our anniversary. ? No welcome no nothing . At that moment I knew There would be a little delay for my other plans. I had to cancel one business meeting,
we were so hungry we just let it go we just enjoy our dinner. The server he came through,..
We dine six days week I actually haven’t had this experience of reservation. I was not planned to review. Have a nice day.
We had 8:15 reservations, when we got there at 8:10, very nice host told us , 20-30 minute wait. I’d probably never go back accept, the host, older gentleman in a suit was very accommodating and professional. He deserves a huge thank you. I understand that it was Valentine’s Day, but that’s I made reservations. Waiter was really good but the service was below average. By the time we got our food, mine was Luke warm and hers was perfect. Other than that the Host got us a great table and he is the only reason I’d even think about returning.
The restaurant appeared to overbook their reservations or were short staffed on Valentine’s Day. We had an 8:15 reservation and ended up being seated at 9:10. The manager claimed it was because people who were already seated weren’t leaving, which I can somewhat understand, but when we were finally seated we saw a bunch of 2 person tables not being utilized. The manager was also blatantly lying to people about how long they would need to wait, telling them it would be a 25 minute wait when we had already been waiting for almost an hour. After we were finally seated the meal went well. The wait staff seemed rushed but were trying their best, and our steaks were delicious. The blatant lying about wait times and that customers “weren’t leaving” was my only major problem with our experience.
We have reservations at 8pm and didn’t get seated until 8:50. It took 20 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. It took another 20 minutes for our beer to come. From the time we ordered it took 45 minutes to get our food
Reservations backed up, not responsive to customers with reservations and didn’t seem concerned. Table service good after seated. Watched bus/wait staff staff drip oysters water all over Rug.
Everything was nice, but I had a reservation at 8pm and didnt get seated til 850pm. People need to be considerate, finishing eating get up people are waiting...
Valentines and a birthday
Disappointed- Arrived shortly after 7:45 due to traffic into parking structure (valet line was coned off). I was told there will be 15 to 20 minute wait and that they will call us.
Went to the bar and the bartender helped another patron who stepped in from of me, also, waiting to be seated. He did not get to me til 25 minutes after that guy to take my order.
Finally got seated after 9:00 pm. Did not rec. call even though was told I was called.
Food was OK but service was slow and NO bread while we waited for the soup/salad.
Beware when you use Open Table for a reservation. We reserved for 19:45. When we got there we were told it would be at least 30 minutes before we got a table. We decided to wait and it was 45 minutes before we were shown to a table. The food is good. It is a large restaurant and very noisy.
We might go back but would not wait 45 minutes again - not worth it Overall it was quite expensive.
I understand it was Valentines Day however making a reservation two weeks in advance for 6:45 and arriving at 6:40 to find out we still had to wait at least 30 minutes was a big disappointment. ...Quite embarrassing when you try to plan a very special date. Not impressed McCormick & Schmick’s. Not your first Valentines Day.
Made resi for my girlfriend and I and at that time I asked for a booth with curtains. To my surprise they put us in another booth without the curtain booth we reserved.
Our waiter John Llamas is the best. So attentive.
Good food, decent price
Took my wife out for Valentines dinner.
