McCormick & Schmick's Harborside - Portland Ratings and Reviews
Nice evening with good food. Only complaint is the listed wines were not in stock so second and third choices are necessary. If you list it you should have it available, also little attention to accommodating Landry members, had to remind them to log in my meal even though the card was on the table all evening.
The location of the restaurant is perfectly at the riverside of Portland, and close to the hotel Kimpton where I live. The food is very well prepared and I tried the best salmon I have ever had, the King Salmon, wonderful! It is a very good place for all kinds of occasions.
Thanksgiving dinner here. Food exceptional: Turkey dinner was well prepared and tasty; octopus appetizer was exquisite! Service was excellent considering the very busy circumstances. Good selection of wines by the glass. All in all, a very enjoyable holiday meal.
nice view - good thanksgiving plate - asked for a window table due to special occasion (we came from LA for it-which I said) the seating waitress went and asked but manager wouldn't accommodate, which was a disappointment - as window tables sat empty for nearly an hour, nearby. Our waitress for our table was great....
We reserved well in advance and noted that it was not just Thanksgiving, but also our daughter’s birthday. We arrived on time and got seated at the worst table in the restaurant, on the top deck, with no view of the windows and right next to the loud kitchen. We had to ask to have the A/C turned on, which they did for a brief amount of time. It was hot again by the time we left. Nobody should be seated up there, ever. But particularly not after reserving well in advance and with a special request for a Birthday. Seriously disappointing and uncomfortable. We deserved better.
Also, they need to address the smell in the hallway outside the bathrooms and the hostess was pretty rude to us and others. While the food wasn’t bad, I’d be embarrassed to recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Food was good, portion size was disappointing. The service was horrible for the price we paid. Our waitress was slow getting to us, took one drink order at a time, took about 20minutes to come back for us to order food and only checked on us one time. On my nieces entree soup or salad was offered without letting her know there was an upcharge and it was not included in the meal. Then at the end the waitress was unorganized with splitting the bill even though guests were in the same spot. I am a waitress myself and I know what it is like to be busy but that's when you should ask for help. Not sure if she was busy or not I don't know her section all I know is for the price I payed I expected a way better dining experiance than I recieved especially when I booked this place for my mom's 60th Birthday. I work at Olive Garden and I got to say we give a lot better service.... I wont be recomending this place and I most likely will not be back.
We arrived at 5:50 for a 6pm reservation and were told by the less than welcoming host that we would have to wait until our reservation time to be seated, despite plenty of open tables. Thankfully another staff member (maybe a manager?) walked by and saw us standing and seated us immediately.
Our server was wonderful and knowledgeable. The food was just ok, nothing special and rather overpriced. I don’t understand why they have hardly any local seafood. I wouldn’t go back again.
My mother ordered a vodka collins and got a Tom Collins had to send that back. I ordered a martini it came in a chipped glass. My water glass had a chip in it. I ordered the blackened mahi mahi it was overly salted. Nicole our server was awesome. I was a little surprised that between the two chip glasses drink made wrong and food that was so so that the general manager didn't come by.
