Too noisy, food wasn’t hot and misrepresented. (I’ve never seen a filet one half inch thick. It also tasted old, possible freezer burned). My wife enjoyed her crab and I enjoyed my bloody Mary’s so all was not lost. For the price I was expecting a lot more classy place.
Service s like slow
Bring back the pre fixed menu !
We chose Harborside to celebrate a special birthday because of its ambiance, menu, and location on the waterfront. We had a large group and we were well taken care of by our server. The appetizers were fabulous and the entrees were better than average.
Great food and service. Was a great experience! The atmosphere was quite and soft and the server was attentive.
Excellent location, great view of the river! Excellent food. It is pricey, but it is a more upscale restaurant and that is expected.
Great view and good service. Food quality was very good but portions were small for the price.
A safe bet, but value for dollar could be better. Same meal can be found cheaper elsewhere, but not with the same view.
The restaurant needs an update but overall I always enjoy the food, service and atmosphere at the location.
Overall, we didn’t have a wait for our food. All the food we ordered was tasty. One thing though, when we asked if there was cheese in the mashed potatoes, our server said no. However, when we tasted it; tasted like cheddar. Our server is not too knowledgeable about that part. Serving type can be shared with 2 people only. Calamari and fries are very tasty!
Always top notch food and service. The chocolate bag dessert is to die for!
We would prefer not to be seated in the bar area unless requested. This is the first time that our reservation has not resulted in dining room seating, which was disappointing and less enjoyable.
Thanksgiving
Mostly fried foods, very salty. The special Thanksgiving feast was deli-style thin-sliced turkey with 3 sides and a little gravy, not very special, truck stop fare. Three stars for excellent service, nice location and great view.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with our family there. It has a wonderful view of the river from a large percentage of the tables which was very nice. The food as well as service was perfect. Plus, two of our party didn't want a traditional turkey meal and they were able to get what they wanted. This was our third Thanksgiving at this restaurant.
Great food & great service as always.
Our food arrived cold. Waiter took it and returned quickly with hot food.
Went Thanksgiving day. Ordered the traditional turkey dinner. The turkey was very dry and the top piece or two was curling on the edges and dark. The dressing was supposed to be cornbread dressing but tasted and chewed like ground up cardboard. My son ordered a seafood plate and said it was good.
In the past my family and I have been to many Thanksgiving dinners at Harborside and they have all been very enjoyable in every way. This year was a disappointment. There are only a couple of us left in the area now for various reasons but we probably won't be back for Thanksgiving.
Food was about as expected. The decor: dated, and what I would have been expected at a Marie Callendar’s. Absolutely nothing standout about the experience overall. The service was ok, but felt rushed.
The view is very nice!
The food was amazing! The filet mignon is a must have. No steak knife required. We also had the seafood trio, delicious, and surprisingly large portion for the price.
We told our server that we were heading to a show at 7:00 and she made it a point to check on us often and to have our meal to us in plenty of time for us to enjoy it, while ensuring we’d have ample time to get to our show.
We will definitely be coming back soon!
The food over all was good except for my fish . I like salt but it was to salty and over cook not to enjoyable.
Yes, the customer service was phenomenal and the food was very good too. I could tell that the fish was fresh. Thank you for a great lunch experience!
Overpriced for small serving portions. Upset stomach possibly from the strong smelling spoiled crab tower. Overcooked Pan seared sea bass was served on cold grains and asparagus, misleading think it was a hot dish. Pairing did not go well. Not worth the $130 for 2 drinks, 2 appetizers and 2 dinners!
The food and service was amazing!
I bought my wife a gift certificate two years ago for Christmas. She finally used it to buy me a birthday dinner. Great food. Great service. The music was a little young for my taste but it wasn't blasting and the restaurant was relatively quiet. We loved the decor and our server was incredible.
My husband ordered the fish and chips. He is an Irish immigrant and orders the same meal at every seafood venue. His fries were way too salty and the fish (which had clearly been frozen), contained water with most every bite. The wine was a great value (1/2 price on Thursday nights). Crab cakes were awesome as was our attentive server.
Excellent experience on all levels, our server was particularly professional, personable and patient. I would rate this place above others in the area for value.
Really nice dinner!
We went because veterans were given a free meal. Great table, nice waitress, excellent food.
Excellent Excellent Excellent Excellent Excellent
Excellent Excellent
Great food and customer service. Thank you. I will come back again for sure.
As always everything was excellent...………………………………………….
beautiful view. good staff, great foods. Love the dessert.
May be the best clam chowder I've ever had! We enjoyed the calamari appetizer which was a surprisingly large portion for two. Their bread is delicious and I really loved my cedar roasted salmon too. Service was outstanding...all in all, a very satisfying experience and we will be back again.
Thank you to the restaurant and staff for welcoming us on Veteran's Day! Was a treat!
We return each year. This is where I proposed to my now wife 16 years ago-outside after a great meal.
Good food, Excellent service and good ambiance. Good viewing of the river.
Veterans day
Everything was wonderful, except we asked for a window table, told they were reserved, nobody sat at 2 tables all thru our meal and no one there even when we left the restaurant.
Veterans. Thanks
As expected from McCormick & Smick's, the food at the Harborside location was excellent. It is a great place to go with family, friends, or as a couple.
The Salmon Rigatoni was very flavorful and had a an abundance of perfectly cooked pieces of salmon, artichoke and mushrooms in a great creamy sauce over the rigatoni pasta. It looked and smelled as good as it tasted.
The restaurant was pretty crowded at noon but not too noisy and the staff was VERY efficient.
Service was quick and attentive without being overly so and very accommodating to this disabled veteran's eating disorder.
My spouse had Fish and Chips. It had large pieces of solid cod with just the right amount of coating. The fries that came with it were not to her liking though as they were seasoned with Old Bay. The waitress quickly resolved that with a freshly prepared order that was only lightly salted.
We actually had enough for another meal!
Lovely location with great food.
