Family in town, it was so great and the staff made us feel special.
Pleasant experience at a reasonable price. Restaurant was a bit loud. I did not have high expectations but I left pleasantly surprised and I will return again
I was dining alone and was treated very well. The filet mignon was perfect, I enjoyed a delightful WA Cabernet, and the service was just right. Having driven in from 150 miles away I was delighted to find a charger for my electric car in the parking lot as well. I will return.
It's hard to miss with this restaurant -- as far as the food is concerned. The menu choices, especially for backbone fish and shellfish, are varied. There's even steak on the menu, although I've not tried any of those choices. The backbone fish and shellfish are offered in many interesting ways, and I've tried most of them on many visits. I've never been disappointed with the wonderful flavors and clever varieties. Most important, the fish are always properly cooked -- never overdone or underdone. The beer choices are numerous; some with powerful hops flavor and some without. Moreover, the wait service does not pester. Waiters on each of my many visits kept a discreet distance until I indicate, by lifting my head, that waiter service is needed. My biggest complaint is the noise; I find the noise level quite annoying. I find it too loud for comfortable conversation. My only other complaint is parking. There are many spots right near the restaurant, but they're shared with nearby retail stores and finding a spot is often a challenge that can last 20 minutes. Alternatively, the restaurant offers valet parking, but at $5 plus tip I think, under the circumstances of limited parking spaces, that's too expensive. Overall, once you're seated at your table you won't be disappointed! I need to drive nearly 30 minutes to get there, but it's well worth the effort. (Beware; there's a "McCormick's" fish house in Beaverton (without the name Schmick). It's the same guy, McCormick, but the food isn't nearly as good.)
Our food was delicious but the service was very slow for not being busy. The clam chowder is one of the best locally.
Loud metal music playing,
Family in town visiting. Great dinner
We had a fantastic dinner at McCormicks. Great service from Richard also! Thank you Richard! it is so nice to have great service (and hard to find!). thanks. linda
Food is always great, service is always slow...
Hostess found me some reading glasses; Waiter was great - patient, helpful, friendly, attentive; food was excellent! Great experience, will definitely return for another special occasion.
Great food. Loved it the salmon was great and i loved yhe aparagas. We will be back.
I brought my son and daughter in law here for Easter brunch. While the food was good the menu was very limited. If you did not like eggs benedict or grits there was little choice for you. Where were the omelets, waffles, bacon...normal food for a brunch. While I will continue to eat dinner here, I will not be back for a brunch. Very disappointed.
Good food and excellent service.
Food was excellent. Everyone genuinely cared for their guest.
For the pricing I would have expected everything to be spot on. The presentation was stellar but the food wasn't. Borderline warmth, and who wants to play "Russian roulette"with their Green Beans and Asparagus to find the ones that were "pleasant"? So 1/2 of the meal was great (?), but that's not what you expect from a "$100+ no alcohol dining experience for two".
Our dining experience was wonderful. We didn't spend a lot and received great service. Recommend for lunch or dinner.
Birthday we rec’d a nice card and nice desert
Great seafood, fun architecture, and bagpipe band for St. Patrick's Day!!
It was a good friend’s birthday. The hostess welcomed us with both a happy birthday for our birthday girl and a gluten free menu for me. They had a custom happy birthday message printed on her menu. The service was exceptional the food was great and she was given a complimentary birthday dessert with a candle. Overall it was a lovely evening.
Friendly staff, good food and plenty of time to visit with each other in a quiet area of the restaurant.
We dined early for Birthday treat. Everything was wonderful. The restaurant wasn't crowded since it was early so we could actually have a conversation and hear each other. Quite expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
Our 5pm pre - movie Birthday date started off very quietly- where we able to enjoy nice conversation , by about 6 pm unfortunately a nearby table became occupied by a very loud foursome which made any further conversation impossible. Not the fault of M&S- just bad manners on the part of the patrons. Otherwise it was a very pleasant dining experience!
You are missing the Boat! You need Organic Wines!!! Big movement racing forward and you're standing still. I had to ask a waiter what restaurant he would recommend that served organic wines? Sad!! How about an organic meal or two? Now having said that, the food was very good.
It was a special mother and son date night. The accommodations were wonderful. We really enjoyed the service and the food.
We may have ordered the wrong thing but weren’t impressed with the food
We had a great experience!!! Outstanding service! The food was delicious!
The food was great, although, the salmon entree was sold out. so my company had to choose something else. Our waitress was very sloppy. She brought things on time, but when we ordered cocktails, she threw the napkins on the table landing on my plate, rather than placing it on the table. When she poured the water, it splashed everywhere. That was the first time I’ve seen a waiter pour water so sloppy, whether it be from IHOP to a high end restaurant. The water splashed on my plates and my utensils. She should probably go through some etiquette training to serve future customers. She didn’t even apologize to try and clean it up.
It was our anniversary. They printed special menus that had a message to us personally. We had the special salmon. It was excellent. We would definitely come back
It was a very night given Valentine’s Day but Meg did a good job checking in on us. The rest of the dinner date was very dissatisfying and unpleasant.
The reservation was a few minutes late but the restaurant was very busy so it is understandable. Service was very good and the food was delicious. Overall a great expierance.
Food was excellent. Service was lacking. Like our waitress forgot we were there. Other diners seated after were served first. No acknowledgement of our special occasion, my wife’s birthday. Pretty disappointing experience overall.
We had a nice Valentines dinner however, we were seated at a 2 top round in the bar right next to a post with coat hangers. With the coats hanging there, there was not enough room to sit comfortably without the coats in my shoulder or I was sitting in the traffic isle. The table was very wobbly so an attendant put napkins under a couple of the legs which stopped the wobble but the table was uneven and leaned. It ended up being not a big deal, just a little bit uncomfortable. I mention this because there were some tables in the lounge area that were not filled during our dinner and I would think that maybe this table would have been one of the last to be used. I understand Valentines Day is a very busy dining night and as a restaurant you need to maximize seating to try and accommodate all that want to dine out for a nice dinner. The food was excellent and we will probably be back but we were a bit uncomfortable with the seating.
One of our favorite places with good food, great ambiance and great service.
Went to M&S’s for Valentine’s Day. Seated promptly, great service and the food was very nicely prepared. Not the most inexpensive, but still a very nice and enjoyable experience. We also enjoy their Happy Hour. Great eats and great value!!!! We will be returning again soon!
Service was great, food so so, portions very small. Not a very good table for an intimate date with your fiancee. I had a reservation, and the restaurant sat at a table between the bar and some other tables. I asked if there were any other seating available. They found another table for us cramped up against the wall near a passage way to the front door, and waiting area. I guess we were expecting a nice table for two in a secluded area with a little ambiance.
Anyway the staff was great. The service was great. The seating and food were not so great. I can't recommend this restaurant for more than a drink after work, or perhaps a social gathering for some drinks.
Very good to excellent as usual for this restaurant. One of us had wedge salad and appetizer of coconut prawns- was very tasty and enough for a meal. One had 3 course special - walnut and greens salad starter, steak medallions and scampi with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies, followed by warm yummy chocolate molten cake - all enough for large appetite. Excellent dinner at reasonable price. I have found all my McCormick experiences consistently very good to excellent.
The service was so slow. Food was good. Good variety of entrees.
The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. Food was average, but well-presented. Desserts were spectacular. Great place for a long leisurely lunch.
FOOD WAS PERFECTLY PREPARED. EVEN THOUGH DINNER WE CHOSE WAS A THREE-COURSE SPECIAL, NONE OF THE COURSES WERE COMPROMISED - ALL EXCELLENT AND GOOD PORTIONS.
SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING. SERVER (MARILYN?) WAS SEASONED PRO, NEVER RUSHED US, ANTICIPATED NEEDS BEFORE THEY WERE REQUESTED. A MOST WELCOME CHANGE FROM THE ALL-TOO-FREQUENT HURRY-UP-AND-TURN-THE-TABLE-OVER SCENARIO AT MOST RESTAURANTS CURRENTLY. BRAVO!
